Overall Rating:

This is a simple park in Bluff, UT. It has some really large and roomy pull-thru sites. We had a nice pull-thru with full hookups, 50 amp electric and picnic table. The driveways and site pads are gravel. The owners are on site and we found them to be very nice and helpful. When we arrived we had trouble getting their WiFi service but they got this worked out and we found it to be a high quality service. We were not able to get Verizon service here. No laundry on-site and when we used the laundromat in town, we found it to be terrible. About 70% of machines were marked "out of order", the remaining machines were dirty, there was an unpleasant smell and there's no place to sit while you wait. This is no fault of Coral Sands, but just so you know. There is a single toilet/shower combination which is relatively new and well kept. We paid $40.87 per night. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small, quiet and clean park. Owners were wonderful. Very accommodating. Price was great. Sites were level and shaded. Easy to walk to restaurants. No cell service and free internet was slow. Convenient to the national parks. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Cottonwood Steakhouse was excellent. Pick up the "101 Things to Do in San Juan County." Excellent guide to what is available. Bluff wants to be "The Gateway to Bears Ears National Monument" so starting to get more developed.

Owners were very professional, helpful, and courteous. Helped us with our trip planning in the area and had some great tips. Good location between Monument Valley to Mexican Hat to Blanding and Natural Bridges areas. Lots to do in Bluff and the surrounding area. No cable, used air antenna for a couple days and then for some reason lost the air connections. Not sure why. Air conditioner worked well on the electrical grid. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bluff is a very small town, but there are 3 RV parks in town. This one is probably the best from what I saw. The sites are very wide and have trees and bushes between sites. That gives you some shade and a little privacy. It may also obscure a roof-mounted satellite dish, depending on how you park. Owners are great people. They offer a good discount for cash, but can take credit cards. Basically, they discount by the amount of the tax, which saved us $10 a night. Price varies by the size and location of the site. Verizon cell and internet service is pretty much unusable anywhere in this town. We had to go about 15 miles north to get a reliable signal. It was worth it to stay here, though. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were very pleased with Coral Sands RV Park. The lots are spacious with full hook up. We were allowed to choose our own site. There was some shade but it did not interfere at all with our tv satellite. They have recently built a new shower room which is kept very clean. The park is away from the main highway and is very quiet and comfortable. I can't say enough about the owners. They went over and above to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We would highly recommend this park to anyone staying in the Bluff area. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a lot of history in and around Bluff, with a wonderful visitor center and museum. You can get recommendations there on places to visit, as well as from the owners of Coral Sands. Monument Valley, Natural Bridges, Valley of the Gods and Moki Dugway are a comfortable driving distance, among other local things to do. If you enjoy 4 x 4 offroading you won't be disappointed. We tried two exceptional restaurants while there. Just ask at the office for the best steak or ribs in town!

I highly recommend Coral Sands RV Park. The owners are extremely accommodating - we arrived late and they stayed up to make sure we got settled in. The next morning we had electrical problems, and they spent 1.5 hours helping us figure it out. The park is very clean, lots of shade and very quiet. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Really nice place to stay. We stayed a week we liked it so much. Lots of trees and shade. Extremely clean and well kept. Be sure you are hooking up to the water in the ground hole do not hook up to the irrigation water. We enjoyed the camp site so much we didn't go to some of the places on our list. Lots of room, not crowded at all. Wonderful people own the place and it's been in the family for years. They can tell you places to go. We will be going back. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you are ever in So. Utah, the town of Bluff has the friendliest, clean and centrally located rv park around the 4 corners area! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in this area! So many things to see and do.... Just ask the owners... They are full of information and ready to share! The only reason it is not a 10 is that there is no common shower/restroom on site. I do believe they have that in the works. We did not need it but if tent camping it would be great.... We Loved it here. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

The last two reviews covered most of it, but it is the daughter and son-in-law who just took it over. Wifi worked quite well, but cell service all over town was spotty. Phone mostly worked, but no data. Town water supply needs better filtration because it is cloudy (that would be illegal in Colorado), but I am still alive after using it with a 5 micron filter. The new owners are very helpful and nice. They have lots of plans for the future and plan to make it up to date. The big sites, quiet nights, rocks surrounding the town, make the enhance this campground. Bluff is very much a desert town (growing grass here is insane), spread out along the highway, but becoming a tourist stop to explore Bear's Ears National Monument as well as other places. Much better restaurants in Bluff than in Blanding. Also the restaurant across the highway only has breakfast once a week and is closed Monday's-very different place than it was last year. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at Coral Sands for 3 mights while touring the area. The hosts are very attentive to any concerns we may have had. They have recently taken over management of the park from their father, who built and managed the park for many years. We had a great stay there; the park is full of mature trees, manicured gravel, and "huge sites". Our site was c16 and was easily 30 x 80. You could fit two rigs sharing a site, which some folks did. The sites are spaced well that unless you double up a site your neighbor is further away than most places. They have Wifi and cell coverage which is pretty decent. They are planning on adding bathrooms and showers later this year. We would definitely stay with them again on our next trip. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The hosts are very knowledgeable of the area for off the beaten path for ruins, trails, and sites. They pointed us to a couple of places we would not have otherwise found. There are a few local restaurants, we tried Comb Ridge Bistro which was very good. The best fuel price coming from Moab is White Mesa about 10 miles North of Bluff.

Thank you for your positive review of our park! We count ourselves as blessed to have such great guests, for I'm sure we get the best. We did purchase a building yesterday for bathrooms/showers, so look for that addition in June! Mike and I look forward to seeing you again soon! ~Pamela

Overall Rating:

Out of the eleven campgrounds we stayed at during a five week trip, this was one of our favorites! Because the stay was for a week, we received a discounted weekly rate. The camp host was very helpful, knew a lot about the area, and checked every afternoon to see how the day went and what we did. The only reason I rated it an 8 is because there is no bathhouse or dog park. There are limited picnic tables. We got there early enough to get the only one left. The spaces are very big so there is plenty of room between campers. The trees were just beginning to leaf out, so I can see how all the shade would be welcome when the weather heats up! There are two good restaurants within walking distance, one across the street serving three meals a day. The other is a steakhouse a couple of blocks away. Did not eat at that one. We did try the one at Twin Rocks, and that was very good. Had the Navajo taco. We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The area is full of Indian archeology and rock art. Lots of great hikes! Especially enjoyed the one that was part of the Morman wagon trail that ended at the San Juan River and an awesome panel of petroglyphs. Wagon trail was a real challenge for the pioneers. Visitors Center in Blanding has lots of info. Don't miss Edge of Cedars Museum.......is a repository for artifacts found in the area! Pretty amazing! Fort Bluff is great along with the cemetery and early Native American archeology.

Overall Rating:

It's tough to find a RV campground in January but Coral Sands was open and we were not the only occupants. Hi ratings are based on other campgrounds south of Moab on highway 191 and the fact they are open year round. We were wave into a spacious site by Earl who is doing a great jop promoting this RV Park. Motor homes like ours do not depend on central restrooms and showers so if you need such facilities this is probalbly not your campground. We will definitely use the campgreound in the future. Easy in and easy out for a 40' Motor Home towing a Jeep. This campground was a very pleasant surprise for the middle of winter in Bluff, UT. We passed many many closed campgrounds between I-70 and Bluff. It was nice to find one open. Level sites, easy to maneuver into, great host, -- check it out! We camped at Coral Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.
