This is a great park for overnight, sites are spacious, hook ups are good. Beautiful views, no hwy. noise. Bathroom & showers are real clean, sites are level and easy to get into and out. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very quiet, pleasant and clean campground. The owner is a fountain of information and can point out all sorts of interesting things to do in the area. My one negative is one that can't be helped. It is the desert and everything is dirt and dust. When the wind whips up it can be a dusty place that drives you inside the camper. Like I said, it can't be helped. I don't think there are alternatives because of the natural environment. but it does affect your experience nonetheless. That said, everything about the park works well. Good services, great showers and clean bathrooms. It is a small park and off the road so it is very quiet. There is a pretty good restaurant right on the corner where you turn in. No groceries in town so stock up before you get there. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Besides all of the hikes, drives and sights, consider a kayak trip from Montezuma Creek to Sand Island. Lots of wildlife and an easy paddle with strong river current.

Overall Rating:

Clean park. Interior gravel roads were easy to navigate in a 38' MH and the pull through was long enough for rig and attached tow. Site was almost level and did not use jacks as we were only staying one night. Water and electric connections were good (did not hook-up to sewer for the night). Satellite TV reception was good as there are only a few trees in the park. Wifi was extremely slow with the park sparsely filled. I would imagine the wifi connection would be almost nonexistent if the park was full. Verizon phone was iffy and data was just about as slow as the park's connection. Did not use any of the facilities so can't comment on them. Very good place for an overnight stay on the way through the area. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with excellent views of the surrounding mountains. It's centrally located in the small village of Bluff with easy access and wide roads within the park. Our site was very level, extra wide and long. Water pressure was excellent and power was clean and steady. The owner was born in Bluff and her family has owned the park since it was built 18 years ago. They clearly care about their visitors and go out of their way to accommodate. The park shows their commitment to service. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Bluff Fort is a must see; the story of how this town was settled is harrowing. Be sure to drive over to Sand Island (BLM land on the San Juan river) to see the very large petroglyph panel; there has been some graffiti but its now been fenced off to prevent further destruction. Comb Ridge restaurant is excellent; they are also as close as you'll get to a local 'Starbucks.'.

Nice little RV park. Doesn't have a lot of amenities but we don't need much when passing through. Just the basics. The downside for full timers like us is the wifi was unusable and Verizon was only 3G. Not good for internet access. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate is weekly rate. Easy to get in/out off of US 191 in Bluff. Interior roads are gravel and very easy to get around with a big rig. Sites are good size, gravel, level, with picnic table, and utilities worked well. Wifi was useless for a few days and then decent the last few day with our booster. Verizon signal varied between barely one bar Verizon and multiple bars Extended 3G which got the job done when Wifi wasn't working. The park was quiet and walking distance to good restaurants. Nice park that we would definitely stay at again. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location to see lots of attractions in every direction. Gas and diesel in town but cheapest at Mobil in White Mesa about 15 miles north on 191, half way to Blanding. A number of good places to eat in Bluff.

We stayed here 8 nights. Driveways are wide & turns were easy. Sites are mostly gravel with some dirt. Tent sites are all grass. The park is very well maintained. Very quiet here & the views or the night sky are awesome! The owner was very helpful & most willing to answer our questions & provide detailed information about the area. We would recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 5 nights over the Memorial Day long weekend. Gravel lots, many with some shade. Great views of the surrounding countryside. The owner lady is enthusiastic and provides detailed information about sights to see in the area. The washrooms are kept very clean. Noise from the road is almost non existent, and the nights amazingly quiet. Wifi signal weak, have to go near the office to pick up. Be aware that: if no one is in the office, you arrive in the later afternoon, and you haven't made a reservation, she usually returns to the office around six in the evening till nine. Highly recommend this RV park. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was in very good condition. The lady running this park was extremely knowledgeable about this part of the state and had many pictures of sites that could be seen. She took good care of her campground and was concerned that a campers experience would be satisfactory. The site had a small amount of shade late in the day but the trees are fairly small. Tips for other Campers:

There was so much to see in this area we used this campground as a base to travel from. We visited Gooseneck State Park, Monument Valley, Sand Island petroglyphs, Fort Bluff, Muley Point, Natural Bridges National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, and Mesa Verde National Park, drove the Moki Dugway, and drove through the Valley of the Gods. We ended up staying here for 4 nights as it was conveniently located for our sightseeing (we had not originally planned this many nights here).
