Sites and interior roads are very, very narrow. Propane tank is poorly placed if your tank is on the right side of your coach, i. e. you have to drive the wrong way down the one way street or you cannot reach the propane tank. Close to a busy highway so there is constant road noise. That said, cable TV is good. Hardly any reason to stay again. We would not. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very friendly courteous staff. Park is very clean. Sites are level. Rating would have been a 9 if there was a little more room between sites. Park is pretty quiet with some minor highway noise. Showers are super clean with private stalls. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is close. Phillips 66 fuel station is at the end of the block and is convenient for big rigs with competitive prices. If you don't want to eat at Maddox, the Firehouse Pizza has excellent Italian food and Frozen Udder (next door to Firehouse) has really good ice cream.

Very clean, friendly, helpful staff. Entry required you to wait on street if an RV is checking in. One way interior streets. Level, pull through sites. Very close and narrow, but very workable. WiFi was marginsbke even s few dites from the office where antennae was located. Verizon was strong. Very good for a stopover. Good bakery, sandwich shop nearby. The good: This is a good stopping point before going through Salt Lake. The campground was clean and well maintained as far as grass, trees, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cable tv was good. The bad: Sites are way too close to each other and it is tight getting in and out. Hookups, including sewer, are in the middle of the site making it impossible to use the sewer if you stay hooked up. Receptacles in the electric box are in poor shape with evidence of overheating. Sewer is about 6 inches above ground so no normal downflow. This campground is along a busy 4 lane road that seems mostly driven by pickup trucks with no muffler, small Honda type cars with mad mosquito sounding mufflers and motorcycles with no mufflers. They race as hard as they can go from one traffic light to the next. This isn't camping by any means and it is way overpriced for what you get. I will stay at a State park next time which is cheaper and much quieter. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice, smaller campground with nice, friendly staff and owners. Among the surprising perks were free heirloom tomatoes and other veggies from owner's gardens, and a free daily local newspaper. Cable TV was probably the best we have had in about 25 campgrounds, and Verizon signal is good...but their WiFi was consistently useless to us at all times of day. Campground is convenient to access from I-15, but right next to heavily trafficked Rt. 91, so gets a lot of traffic noise. May need extra length of sewer hose to reach, if RV is positioned at one end to allow vehicle to fit into site. Paved roads with mostly gravel sites and a few concrete pads. Sites have decent spacing between them, but some not totally level. Nice, well maintained grounds, bathroom, and shower facility, and camp store was modestly stocked, and included large lending library of books and DVDs. A staff member even sorted the books by genre and featured "staff picks", a nice seldom-seen touch. Barely had room to fit RV and truck into site, but there was adequate, convenient parking on adjacent dead-end street that runs alongside campground. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss nearby Bear River National Wildlife Refuge, and further south, Antelope Island State Park ($10 entrance fee) is a good day trip for auto touring, hiking, or biking. Golden Spike historic site is a bit of a drive, probably best for real history buffs and railfans, but as a bonus, you may get to see a test rocket firing at nearby ATK site like we did, rather unexpectedly.

Site 25 is very loud at the far end of the park due to road noise. Picnic table was on the "wrong" side of RV so was not usable. VERY Clean park with good cable but marginal wifi (we were at far end). Would stay again for 1 night. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cute little park, designed for those 'just passing thru'. Easy access from the Interstate and easy in/out of the park. All sites appear to be pull-thru. Staff was welcoming and cheerful. If you stop, in the late summer, you'll find zucchini, yellow squash and a variety of heirloom tomatoes waiting for you at the check in counter (fresh from their side garden). "Take what you want!" When I checked out, the next morning, there was a fresh batch waiting to be claimed. What a treat! We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were in site 11. Had to unhook tow to get in the pull thru site. Site were very narrow. Neighbors table was right outside drivers window as not enough space between slides. The price was way too expensive for the the place. Gravel sites, there are 7 concrete in the second row. Roadways were very tight. Sprinklers were not adjusted correctly and totally covered the tow car with water. Our site was right next to building with restrooms and lights were on all night. The road noise was very loud. The park is a parking lot with some narrow strips of grass. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice RV supplies area and the very cleanest and nicest restrooms, showers, and laundry room of any RV park we have been in this year. And, I just bet the owners will be the nicest and most pleasant, helpful owners you have dealt with in years and years. We felt blessed by meeting them. The Park is at the end of a 'Dead End' road, so there is not busy traffic next to it, but it is possible to hear some highway traffic sometimes when you are outside. Very close to WalMart for those 'have to have' items. Terrific Park! Extremely well cared for and taken care of. We have already stayed at over 20 RV parks this summer, and will stay at probably 20 to 25 more before we call it quits and get back home. But, I have to say, if the rest of the RV Parks are even close to being as good as this one, we've hit a 'Home Run', because this is the best RV Park we've stayed at, so far this year. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small but nice enough RV park located conveniently to the freeway and in Brigham City. Check in was easy and the owners are very nice. Everything is paved, sites are pull-through, FHU, 30/50 amp, and level but close together and not very long. Streets are narrow so it is tight. Fuel and shopping are nearby. It is next to a residential area so there is plenty of area for walking. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice small park about 50 miles North of Salt Lake City. Overnight sites are all pull thru with good hookups. Quiet location, easy access, narrow inside streets but all one-way and no problems. A few trees and lots of grass. Great wi-fi. Good OTA tv. Nothing spectacular but a good overnight stay and we would return. Closest RV park to the Golden Spike National Historic Site. Definitely worth the drive to Promontory Point. Also, the ATK missile garden is a must see. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Closest RV park to the Golden Spike National Historic Site. Definitely worth the drive to Promontory Point. Also, the ATK rocket garden is a must see. Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights to visit the nearby National Park Service sites and SLC attractions. The park is a short drive from I-15/84 (Exit 364 - US-91 to Logan) along a high volume road and residential streets. The interior roads are concrete. They are one way, single vehicle width with 90 degree tight turns making maneuvering larger RV's a little challenging. The registration parking area is right at the entrance and interferes with access into the park when being used. There is a mixture of P/T and tent sites. A few of P/T sites were long enough to say connected to a toad. The RV sites are narrow & there isn't much distance between the sites but there was sufficient room to open slides. The parking pads are gravel. This park seems to understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were generally level and flat. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. The sewer connection was slightly above ground making it difficult to establish a downhill flow depending on discharge point. Sites have an outside table but no fire pits. There were a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site. The park information didn't mention anything about broadcast channels but has cable. No lineup list provided. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi was acceptable. It was password protected. Didn't try our Verizon WiFi hotspot or the NET10 phone so don't know about reception. There was not a fenced pet area or designated walking areas. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park's roads with some grassy areas along the park's perimeter. There were no waste bag dispensers or collections stations for waste anywhere in the park but there were dumpsters on either end of the park. We might stay here again. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean little RV park with lots of grass and concrete pads for your rig. All of the utilities worked well. Not a lot of shade, which on a hot day would have been a problem, but it wasn't that warm the night that we stayed. My only complaint about this park is that it's pretty tight to get into and out of. Their are, what appear to be, full-timers that park their cars too close to the interior roads which makes it difficult to navigate. All in all it's a very nice park and if we were ever in the area we would stay here again. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has gotten a lot shabbier that when we were there 6 years ago. They have cut down most of the trees so no shade. The sites are close together and they were remodeling the restroom the entire time we were there. Shouldn't that have been done before Memorial Day. The excessive road noise made sleep difficult. We will not return. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.
