Simple RV park under the pine trees near the road and a petrol station. Very friendly people at the check in (i.e. Petrol station). Good place for having a small fire. No wifi available other than at the gas station. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Positive: lots of trees, very close to Bryce Canyon NP. Negative: nothing notably negative. A bit pricey but an OK value for the price. General: The owners must have done some work on this in recent years, as our experience was not consistent with the descriptions in some of the older reviews. Or maybe we were just lucky. Yes, lots of trees so you have to be careful maneuvering, and longer rigs can have a problem. Yes, sites are not perfectly level, but are not not unreasonably so. All RV sites are now pull-through. Campground is located behind a Chevron station about 15 minutes from Bryce Canyon NP. Just off highway 12 but road noise not significant. Interior roads and pads are combination of gravel and dirt, well-maintained and no potholes. Pads are mostly flat and level, but you'll need leveling blocks if you plan to make this a base camp and stay for more than a day or two. All sites are pull-through. Lots of trees, so longer rigs need to be careful. Graduated pricing based on type of site -- $28 for camping, $39 for 30 amp, and $50 for 50 amp. Small store has miscellaneous food and various small items, from nightcrawlers to shampoo bottles to minor RV repair items. Bath and showers very clean. On the Men's side, two toilets and two showers, but no lights in the showers. Small seating area with tables at back of store. Pleasant staff. Verizon at 4G with 2 bars. Not all sites are satellite friendly because of the trees. We would have stayed longer, but they were fully booked. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

Some spaces are tight getting in & out, because of trees. We couldn't put our awning out, but didn't need it because of shade. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Great location when visiting Bryce Canyon. Far enough away from Bryce Canyon City to avoid the congestion, yet only 5 minutes from the National Park entrance. The sites are spacious, but the abundance of pine trees creates narrow interior roads, site entrances, and exits, as evidenced by several large chunks of bark missing from many of trees. A Word of caution: Anyone, especially inexperienced RV'ers, with a rig that is over 45', in total length (nose to tail) to be extra careful when maneuvering in the park. All in all, this is a really nice place to relax after a day of exploring on of the most awesome National Parks in Utah. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is located very near Bryce Canyon National Park and about 70 miles from Zion. The park is located in the pines, thus the name, and it not the most level place we have ever stayed but they have done a good job of providing relatively level pads to park on. The park is at 7600 feet so the air is a bit thin. The staff was very helpful and did their best to make sure we had what we needed. The facilities were quite adequate. The park is laid out in the trees so some sites can be a bit tricky to get some rigs into but overall, I have seen worse. There are some sites that are side by side; that is to say one faces north and the next faces south so if you are traveling with a friend, you might be able to get sites with a common area between. If not, you might have a "stranger" using "your" fire pit or table. Overall, not a bad place to stay. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

A variety of RV and tent sites. RV sites have either 30A or 50A service and other hookups but no cable TV. WiFi only available at the office (they say they are installing fiber-optic cables to support eventual WiFi in sites). Some sites are fairly small or close to the roads thru the park; others are more spacious. Some are pull-thru, others are back-in. Most are not level, we had 2-3 degrees off-level on both axels, in the two sites we stayed in. We moved from C1 (small, exposed, on the main internal road) to a new site, F2 which backed up to the tenting area in a well-treed area of the campground and was both long and wide and 50A. So bottom line: examine the campground map and pick your site carefully to get what you want. The campsite staff are older couples and are very courteous but not always able to help. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bryce Canyon Pines also operates a Motel/restaurant a 1/4-mile down the road. Had excellent pork chops and so-so steak. The chocolate cream pie is as good as they brag it is! You can walk or bike to the restaurant from the campground by cutting through the tenting area. A 7-mile dirt road to Tropic reservoir is a good side-trip. Turn off Hwy 12 a mile east of the campground. Excellent kayaking/fishing. There is a nice Forest Service campground at the lake, with plumbing and dump station.

Very little gravel at the sites. Mostly they are dirt/rock sites and roads. Because of that, others have complained of the dust - well our problem was the mud, because it rained a lot one evening. Trailer and TV were very muddy once we left. Otherwise, it's an okay place. The sites are actually fairly well spread. There are trees that give a good amount of shade - though they also restrict access for larger or longer rigs. The service at check-in was friendly. Utilities were stable and easy to access. Despite being close to the highway, noise wasn't an issue for us. Cell service was good (Verizon). And, the park entrance is just about 5 minutes away. The park was easy to find. There is a big sign right next to the gas station where you must check in. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The park itself is fine, nice tree coverage and while spots are close together, it doesn't feel tight. AT&T Cell service worked great. There is a small store and gas station on site and great little restaurant down the road. The park is very convenient to Bryce Canyon Park.

The roads in the park are tight and we witnessed 2 RVs scratch up and even rip off parts of their RVs in the park. Our stay was ruined by the terrible service we had during our stay. This was our second RV park in our new fifth wheel so I called ahead to ask if there was anyway we could get a pull thru site. I spoke to the owner and explained all this and he said we were already assigned to a pull thru. When we arrived the next day, they not only hadn't assigned us the pull thru, they assigned us a site that was too small to fit our RV.

I would not stay at this campground again based on the way they run their business. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here upon a recommendation from someone in town. Mistake. Campground looks nice from the road nestled in the pines and I'm sure some sites are nice. It appears we had the last site available, which should have been a hint! It was downright ugly, dirt, rocks, on top of our neighbors both sides and smelled sewer. We had one small tree at the end of our site ( not a pine) which we tried to sit under when having a fire but couldn't even level our chairs. We intended to stay four nights but one was more than enough. As I said, some sights appeared nicer and check in was very friendly. Wish we would have seen the sight before paying. Live and learn. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

Smallish park behind Chevron gas station. Very tight sites but were able to maneuver our 35' to the site. Must unhook tow before navigating into cg.

Had mixup on our reservation regarding the request for 50 amp service & satellite friendly site. A lady & older white-haired gentleman working with her were very helpful in accommodating us. Definitely NOT a satellite friendly campground as it is within the woods. However we were in site D-2 which they converted to 50 amps & without leveling the coach and putting the nose right to the end of the site, we were able to get satellite reception. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you stock up on groceries before arriving here as there are no markets/grocery stores nearby. Also only place to buy wine is in the lobby of the nearby Ruby's Best Western Hotel which has extremely limited selection and takes cash only.

Very close to Bryce so location was perfect.

Drove right by the entrance sign to the park on the right, as our GPS showed further up the road. So turned around and came back to the Chevron station and saw the RV's in the park behind the station. It is a small rustic park with large Ponderosa's between wide gravel/dirt sites that do require leveling. A fire-pit is built into the ground with a large concrete base around it that accommodates 4 fold out chairs. Very good Wi-Fi, but no Cable, did not try the Antenna. Nice on-leash walking for Lab, and has long paved bike paths just outside the park as well, that leads to a wonderful Restaurant. The Chevron store has ample groceries, souvenirs and RV supplies. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Travel Trailer.

About 5 miles to the entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park and many more attractions:

> Red Canyon Trail Rides - Onsite

> Bryce Canyon Visitor Center

> Grand Staircase National Monument

> Zion National Park

The Chevron station in front of the park is very convenient for both gas and diesel. Looks like about 20 Tent campsites also available.

The sites are gravel and not very level. The sites are side by side sharing the hook ups, so half are straight pull in and half are back in. We managed to get level in a 40' class A. Restrooms are up in the Chevron station, which has a small store (gas is cheaper at Ruby's in Bryce). The WiFi was slow but is enough for email and simple sites. The trees make satellite reception difficult.

It is only 6 miles from Bryce, which makes it great! The price is reasonable compared to other places around. The staff are quite nice.

It's funny that we had a great stay, yet this doesn't seem like a good review. We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.

There were good sites and bad (mostly getting level, and some very close together) which I figure the other comments are about. Hookups worked well. The whole park is pretty much packed sand which can be quiet dusty at times however there are some trees providing shade. The staff at check-in were great. The chevron station was handy to have close by and of course Bryce is just a few miles down the highway. Great place to visit Bryce and Grand Staircase Escalante and Red Canyon. The reason you would stay here is location. It is convenient to Bryce Canyon NP. Otherwise, not much to recommend it, particularly given the price. The sites are not level, we saw many struggling to get level. Sites and driveways are dirt/gravel. Also, the driveways need to have potholes repaired. The toilets located among the sites are port-a-potties. To get to plumbed toilets and showers you must walk up to the gas station/office. The WiFi service was spotty. The laundry was fine. The associated motel down the road offers horseback rides to Red Canyon. However, the lady we spoke to couldn't tell us anything about the ride other than the facts, time, location, cost etc., and could not give us any encouragement as to why we might want to take this ride, so we didn't. We could not get level, high in back and sloped to the side. Hook-ups worked fine, gravel pads and roads so was very dusty. Park was quite and large pine trees for shade. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. We didn't have any trouble getting to our spot with a 40 ft class as other people have stated. Sites were large with space between sites.
