2 Parks near Cannonville, Utah
May 2016 - $45.00
We passed a lot of nice RV parks and resorts that were much closer to Bryce Canyon NP, so I thought the price was a little high for this location. That said, this campground has a camping ambience with pretty views. It is located on Scenic Byway Route 12. Traffic is minimal, and vehicle noise was not an issue. The 15 mile drive to Bryce was pretty and not a big deal for us. No grocery stores near Cannonville. This CG provides a picnic table and fire ring. There are tent sites, nice cabins and a pool. Hookups are reasonably located, and big rig sites are long enough. 50 amp electric and water pressure okay. WIFi was typically adequate. We used our satellite dish and antenna with minimal channels (no CBS or ABC). NO cell coverage on AT&T. Site was long enough for our 40' fifth wheel and tow vehicle (w/duallies). The office staffers were sometimes helpful, and sometimes blandly grouchy. (Note to staff: we are new to your camp, not idiots or derelicts just because we don't know your particular rules. The brusque attitude made me think about moving to one of those CGs that were closer to Bryce.) - OH2SD

The people who work at this park are very friendly, helpful and nice! Check in was efficient and we were escorted to our site. Our site had a great shade tree and grass area. The park is very conveniently located to visit Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome and Escalante Staircase. - Admiral II

This KOA sits 10 miles south of the entrance to Bryce Canyon NP. The staff was really friendly. Our site 18 was a nice long pull through on gravel (mostly level). We had a nice tree for shade and a patch of grass for our picnic table. We enjoyed the marshmallow roast Saturday night, and the ice cream social Sunday night. The grounds are well kept. I thought the laundry machines were a little pricey at $2.50 a wash and $1.50 to dry. But there were a sufficient number of machines. The wifi was good, but we had no cell service on our phones and there was no cable service. The distance from the park did not bother us. We would stay here again. - Caveman54

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds I have ever camped in. When I arrived there was not one piece of litter or cigarette butt to be seen. It was so clean I even went to the Ranger and commented on it. The campground was extremely quiet except for the screech of a prairie falcon flying by with a snake in is talons. Although I did not use the hook ups they had several that were well spaced and almost all provided shade.
I hiked almost every trail in the park in the two days I was there. It is also right next to the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument which had some great sightseeing and hiking also.
This is a park that I will certainly return to! The night sky was spectacular! - Outdoor Bob

One of nicest campgrounds we've ever been at. Paved roads and parking pads. Full hookups all well placed and in good condition. Very good site separation. Extremely clean restrooms and showers. Some very nice hikes right in the park. We don't really camp anymore but rather travel with our dogs and use parks for overnight/short stays along our routes. Would definitely return here. - TravelinTail

This is a very beautiful state park--rebuilt a couple of years ago. Restrooms and showers are in excellent condition. Park has paved sites with nice spacing. Lovely pinion pine and Utah junipers between the sites. It is 9 miles off the main road with one way in/out. Extremely quiet and relaxing. Several hikes in the campground. - SAU51
