Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights passing through the area to visit the nearby National Park Service sites. While the park is centrally located along a 5 lane busy commercial road in the center of town, the access is very difficult due to the angle getting off the street, over the sidewalk and into the park regardless of which driveway you use. This arrangement posed a scrapping and collision hazard. Registration/Check in is in the hotel lobby at the front desk. While the park is identified as a Good Sam member which should entitle GS members to a discount, no discount was offered at check in. The hotel didn't credit points to our Best Western membership either. And Best Western would not honor our stay to apply the points without providing them a copy of our credit card statement even though we provided them a copy of the credit card charges from the hotel's receipt. The interior roads are paved through the hotel parking lot but gravel in the RV area and site parking pads are compacted gravel. There wasn't much room to maneuver through the RV parking area making the turns very tight. All of the sites are pull thrus. The P/T's were long enough to remain connected to the toad or parked directly in line. The park completely understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as sites are level. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were generally at the middle of the site. The sewer connect was slightly elevated but it wasn't too difficult to establish a downhill flow. Distance establishes privacy between the sites but the sites were generally close. The sites alternate facing direction so the utility connections or a shared table separate the sites. No fire pits but the hotel provided an outdoor elevated gas fire pit in the common area. There were a few trees scattered among the sites so satellite reception was dependent on site assignment. The park provided WiFi was excellent. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter. Hotel provided complimentary evening BBQ's, outdoor movies and a full hot breakfast. There was also a garden on site. At the end of the season, the produce was offered to the guests. Due to the limited number of sites, recommend making reservations as there is a Shakespearian festival in town.

Small, quiet park sits behind newer Best Western motel. The price includes full use of hotel amenities i.e. Pool, jacuzzi, laundry, restrooms, gardens. Beautifully maintained. Raised vegetable and herb gardens which were openly offered to guests. Evening bbq and s'more roast also included. Wonderful front desk managers. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We actually didn't stay here. We did have a reservation and pulled in to register and got the shock of our lives. For a picnic table and full hookups on pea gravel the price was $50. When I asked what made them worth that much he looked me straight in the eye and said they were the only park downtown. The fact that their reservation book was basically blank, as was the park, apparently didn't matter. Way over priced. Very disappointing as we've stayed there many times but we won't be back. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hotel under renovations...lots of construction equipment...working till 7pm the night we were there. Closed off pool for the season which was a bummer...told we could walk across the 4 lane highway and through the hotel across the street for a swim.
Facilities were a single unisex restroom off the checkin desk in the hotel...clean. Wifi...spotty. Utilities on the wrong side of the coach but all worked well. French bread bakery yummy right there. Location in the middle of town was excellent. I don't think they have much interest in their RV customers...but it is a decent deal in the best place to see the town. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Pioneer museum just a few blocks north on the main drag is amazing and unexpectedly large with a big outdoor area....also...if headed south, don't miss the rarely visited separate Kolub Canyon section of Zion Park.

This Best Western Motel (currently affiliated with another Best Western right across the street), has 10 RV spaces in the back parking lot offering full hookups. The hotel is in the process of doing a major renovation in that area, so construction equipment fills some of the space, the ground is torn up, and RV park signage has been taken down. The location is fantastic, since it is within easy walking distance of most of Cedar City and the Southern Utah University campus. The future of the park may be a bit questionable however. One desk clerk told us it was probably going to close in October, but another said it was going to stay open indefinitely. The day manager explained that the motel was breaking off from the one across the street, so eventually the one affiliated with the RV park would change its name to Best Western Plus - Cedar City. Travelers considering this park should call ahead to make sure it will be open, and also to check the best entrance. WiFi worked ok. No cable TV was provided. We assume travelers needing amenities like bathroom, pool, gym would use the hotel facilities. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All summer and into October SUU puts on a highly regarded Shakespeare festival, which also features many non-Shakespearean plays. Attending an evening or matinee performance at one of the many theaters on campus is quite enjoyable.

The Best Western hotel is located at a very busy intersection. There was traffic noise all day and into the night.

The hotel has 9 RV sites (one site had construction material on it). The interior road and sites are on crushed rock. All sites have FHU with 20/30/50 amp electrical service. The electrical voltage hovered around 119 volts. Some sites had a picnic table and there were no fire rings. There are neither bathrooms nor showers available. The hook-up were "side by side".

Verizon air card and cell phone reception was good. The hotel's WiFi reception was also good. The laundry, indoor pool and spa are located directly across the street. Washers cost $3 and dryers cost $2. There is a $5 charge for breakfast and contains the standard buffet served at most hotels.

From I-15 (exit 59) go west towards Cedar City. Turn left onto North 100 West Street. Go pass the hotel and take the first right into the campground.

We would think twice before coming back - only because of the street noise. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a decent place to stay for a few days, but not what I would prefer for a longer stay. Just 10 sites in a row on gravel behind the motel. The view is of the Post Office back lot on one side and the motel grounds on the other. I felt that the motel ignores the RV park, as there was trash and dog poop all over our site when we moved in. The primary positive feature is its location--it is just a few blocks from the historic downtown, grocery shopping and a few restaurants. Use of the motel pool would be a nice feature in the summer. We found it quiet at night and the whole town felt safe and friendly. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A little difficult to find RV park - Best Western has 2 properties across the street from each other. Great gravel RV park with desert-like items separating the sites. Level - easy access. Free coffee and donuts every morning. Access to physical fitness room and pool! Walking distance to downtown. Great place to stay to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great and free! Good Sam discount. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

This compact park, part of a Best Western hotel, is right in the heart of Cedar City, a nice little town with a still-prosperous downtown featuring several restaurants and tourist-oriented stores to visit. Access is a bit tricky, and beware of the almost invisible, diagonal speed bumps, and several potholes, that will really toss your rig around. The spaces are minimal size with back-to-back utilities, but the water, sewer, and electric work well. The Wi-Fi varies from OK to basically unusable, mostly the latter. There is a place to walk your dogs. There is a lot of lighting at night, but the noise from the adjacent main street dies down later in the evening. The price shown is Good Sam including taxes. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate here reflects a Good Sam Discount. Nice park. All sites are level gravel pull through sites. Green grassy park like setting across from RV sites 8 adjacent to pool area. Close to everything in Cedar City, including Shakespeare Festival. Cedar Breaks & Brian Head are close for day trips. Very friendly staff. Back of park is next to post office, but posed no problems at all. Good for an overnight stay or longer. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small, 10 space RV park in center of town. Clean and well kept. Level gravel. Good water, power, sewer, cable and Wi-Fi. Right across street from a nice park and grocery shopping. We stay here every June for festivals. Close to Zion (60 mi) and Bryce (90 mi) both and reasonable close to North Rim (150 mi). No showers or bathrooms. Some traffic noise from Main Street, but that doesn't bother us. We like the fact that you can walk to almost everything you need (except Wally World - 2 miles). CC is near 6k feet so pleasant weather in summer, unlike St. George to the south (hot!). We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate paid was AAA, normally $35/night. Best price in town. Excellent 4G internet signal. It is only one block to the park, library, post office, grocery, cute old downtown, and paved walking/riding path. Quiet at night. We would stay here again. Contrary to previous reviewer: breakfast is not included it costs $5 and don't waste any money on it. Cable is terrible, wi-fi is so slow that it is not worth connecting. Sites have side by side hookups. If you have anyone next to you, they better be good friends. Extremely noisy at 7AM with trash trucks, tour buses, road noise, and, of course, the post office you are backed up to. Would never stay here again. We camped at Town and Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
