Just another KOA that over-promises and under-delivers! When we called for reservation, we were told we would have shade trees and lots of green grass for dog. When we got there, we had one poplar tree and dead grass with dirt! Site was unlevel so needed two boards. We needed two electric cords and two sewer hoses to reach as hook-ups were in front of site. Very unusual and inconvenient. No hiway noise but trains went thru nearby several times. We camped at Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Other than thinking they are over priced, it was nice park with level sites and a wonderful staff. No recycling was found. Lots of space for pet walking We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were here for an overnight on the way West. As previous reviewers have mentioned, pretty much a dirt pad, with FHU sites. Not much grass, and very dusty and dry. In all fairness, an on-going drought has contributed. We didn't have to unhook our toad, and walked to the nearby restaurant which had good food, and great service. The KOA staff was friendly, and helpful. Close to I-70. Verizon hotspot was fine, and the satellite reception was excellent. We would stay here again. We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Park located on eastern edge of Green River, near the Green River and conveniently near I-70. Park is lightly graveled dirt with some patches of grass and some trees. Some sites are pull-thru with full service. Rather pricey for patch of dirt to park your coach, but not many choices in that area. Staff very friendly and helpful; a redeeming virtue was excellent restaurant adjacent to park. We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Sites and interior roads are gravel and dirt, so dust and dirt can be an issue. Trees aren't numerous and didn't interfere. Our site had a tree, but we were still able to get DirecTV. Sites in our area were generally level and angled for easy pull-thru access. Park Wi-Fi was decent, with minimal slowdowns at peak periods. We got a good VZW signal. OTA TV access was excellent. Good power (no real voltage drops at peak times) and decent laundry. Not the best value in town, especially when compared to the State Park a mile away; basically a big gravel lot with hookups. The only issue we experienced was a difference in pricing from what we reserved at koa.com. It was clear that they changed their rates (I went back to the confirmation emails and screen shots at reservation time) but they insisted it was due to changes in sales taxes (not likely since it was exactly $2/night). In the end, they made an adjustment and credited me for about half of the overcharge but left me with the feeling that the discrepancy was all my fault and I was trying to scam them. I've never had this happen at another KOA. We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stay. Seemed expensive but realize that is often the case with KOA. Our site was long enough that we didn't need to unhook. The pool looked nice although we didn't use it. We camped at Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a park easy to access, very near I-70. Level sites, pretty good wifi, shade but open enough to use our satellite RV antenna. Excellent cell signal. Only problem is all roads are dirt with some sand. It is very dirty and ugly. But we will probably stay here again when we are going this route. We camped at Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are spacious, level dirt sites. We were near a huge cow holding pen and could often smell the money! WiFi works well. The over the air TV was sporadic and cable was only available in a few sites for $2 per night. Lovely air conditioned new laundry. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One went to the Post Office when a medical supple package for us was not delivered. And brought it back for us. We camped at Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

There is a nice grocery store in town. Nice restaurant near by that gives a discount. We base camp and went to Arches and Canyon Lands National Parks, as well as Dead Horse State Park.

This is a good park for an overnight stay located just off I-70 in central Utah. Restrooms were clean, but a bit small, and the grounds are well-kept. Site was level dirt. Good space between sites, which are long enough to stay hitched up. We had a very long pull-through. There are grassy areas for dog walking. The park filled up with over-nighters. Management was friendly and efficient. We would stay again. We camped at Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We had one of the nicer back in sites (#4) for the shade and distance from the road. Sites are level gravel with grass, picnic table, and fire ring. Near the freeway, but pretty quiet. We stayed there while hiking in San Rafael Swell. Are planning to be back in the fall, and will stay at KOA again. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly, solid overnight stop. Easy on and off I-70 but far enough away to be quiet. Long level site so we didn't have to disconnect. You can walk to both a good restaurant as well as an interesting museum. It was really windy while we were there, and yes, it was dusty, but we have seen a lot worse. The people were very nice. We did not use the pool but it looked good. The free continental breakfast was very good as others have mentioned. Our site was our first experience with a "buddy site". Our door faced the door of the fifth wheel next to us. The picnic tables for both sites were between our rigs.It was OK but I think I prefer the usual arrangement that offers a bit of privacy. The roads are easy to negotiate. We stayed at some beautifully landscaped places on our two month trip. Some of those had roads that were more difficult to negotiate due to plantings and rock placement. DH is an excellent driver but this park being in the high desert as it is offered no difficulties concerning the roads and the sites as there was nothing to interfere with your passage. I would not expect them to use a lot of valuable water to grow grass. I suppose it could be dusty there. It was not an issue during our visit. Our site was big and level. There are beautiful views out the back of the CG. We were there two days and then moved on to Moab. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park way off the main road so no noise at night. Nice space that was level. Good water pressure and full hook-up, but we were there for just one night so didn't use the sewer. Lots of stars. Staff was very nice, and the store looked well-stocked. Pool looked nice with water slide. This appears to be a stop-over camp because everyone was gone when we got up. Will stay here again. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much to do in Green River, but be sure to go out to Goblin Valley on Highway 24, two exits from Green River turnoff. Truck Stop at Sinclair Station has great food. We have eaten there twice. Green River is known for their melons, so be sure to buy one. We got a watermelon but they have other choices. Vetere's Melons.
