Beautiful little state park in a dump of a city. There is no other reason to go to Green River except to visit this park, and it is still worth it. Sites are large, but laid out in a somewhat confusing manner. There was a picnic table on the wrong side of my rig (none on the right side); I presume it was mine, but there was a common tent camping area in the middle, so I wasn't sure. Lots of trees, very pretty. Disc golf and regular golf course right next door, at bargain rates. I was able to get free wifi, but wasn't sure if it was local or from the state park. Cell signal good. Lots of o/a TV channels. Some shady sites, lots of shady common areas. Very relaxing place to stay. Site almost level. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

A very well kept older campground. The spaces were spread out and plenty of room on the slab, space #5 to park the truck next to the 5th wheel. Pulled a 41'4" 5th wheel in here and got it out OK but you will need a spotter. 50 amp is all we used. Water is there but we didn't use it and didn't dump. Camp Host was a nice enough gentleman. The people were very friendly, mostly seniors (mid week in late Sept.). We were surprised at how affordable it was for 50 amp hook up. Do not bother with the RV park at the end of the street (scarry and more expensive) which is where we had our original reservation. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to buy the Green River watermelon if you're there in mid to late Sept. It's what that community is known for. Watermelon stands all over that little town.

We were only at this park for one night, so perhaps we would have found more to recommend in more time there. Our site was huge! It was so big that even with our trailer and truck in the space, the picnic table was at least 25 feet away with mud (recent rain) and then grass between it and us. The bathrooms were a long ways away and need updating. One bath building had 2 showers, one very small and one larger (accessible). The other building had 4 private shower rooms with lights activated by motion. The light didn't work in one. These were bigger but with only a partial wall separating the shower and dressing area, the whole area got pretty wet. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the campground was also well-maintained, including several new tent sites along a stream. As mentioned, there's an adjacent golf course. There's also a train track close by, so there's some noise from that. It's certainly a good place for over night but maybe not for a long vacation. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very peaceful. Nice golf course. 9 holes, but you can play it twice. Very nice folks let me ride with my husband for free. You can hike around golf course after players leave. It is a beautiful walk. Lots of OTA channels. Dump available. Great stopover on way to National Parks in Utah. Would stay again. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

I stayed here 4 nights in sites 33 and 34 while passing through in a 27 foot motorhome with tow car. This is a pleasant, low-key, well-maintained park with lots of grass and trees and very spacious sites that is located on the Green River. The roads are paved -- a little confusing to navigate as others have noted. It is not a park I would want to arrive at after dark. It is very dark and there are trees that lean over the sites, trees right next to the sites, and very large rocks used to guard the electric hookups and water spigots. My first site was 34 which it turned out was a pull in site -- not a back in site (meaning if you backed in your door faced the wrong way and hook ups were on the wrong side) -- and several other "back in" sites had similar set ups. None of the sites are really long but there are some pull through (and pull over) sites that some big (but not huge) rigs managed to fit into along with their cars. I moved into site 33 because it was a little longer and had enough space to comfortably park my tow car. Staff were very helpful making the site change. Site 33 was also a pull in site. There were a lot of walk-ins who drove around (and around) looking for a spot which I think is probably the easiest way to find a site that works for you. The park was never completely full. The river is very muddy and looked unpleasant. The golf course is nice and green but dogs are of course verboten. Walking the dog around the park worked fine. The park is 45-50 minutes to Arches NP and a little over a hour to Canyonlands NP. There were quite a few tent campers. Verizon worked well. Electricity and water worked well and the dump site was easy to maneuver. I didn't use the restrooms. The irrigation sprayers will spray your entire rig so be warned. Price does not include the $8 transaction fee to make a reservation. If you have a big rig arrive early because it is not a big rig friendly park. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice green oasis in the middle of nowhere Utah. Bring your mosquito spay, they are hungry. Water and electric with a dump site on site. Confusing park roads, you can see where you want to go but can't get there. Right on the Colorado River with a 9 hole high handicap friendly golf course. Lots of river rafters spend the night here. Beware, if they run the sprinklers, they use muddy river water, not city water. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Other than the state park, there's not much to do in Green River. Get fuel here, it's 100 miles before the next fuel station on I-70.

Traveled out west for 2 weeks. Stayed at 6 KOA Campgrounds. The KOA Green Rivers, UT was our favorite. Nice heater and A/C in our cabin. Cabin very clean. Campground clean, quiet and a farm in the back with cows mooing. This was so lovely. Management so gracious and friendly!! The even had a complimentary continental breakfast every morning. We had the chance to go once and were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast selection and delicious "very large" muffins. We hated to leave. This was the best campground on our journey!! Keep up the good work. Highly Recommend!!! We camped at Green River State Park in a Cabin.

Stayed only two nights. While the toilets were clean, the sinks were never cleaned out, nor the showers. The park is beautiful. Some of the back ins are narrow but can be treated as pull thru. Probably only class C could do so on some, but a couple in a class A did next to lot 12. Nice park benches and fire rings and grills. Right next to the river with boat ramp and small dock, as well as the golf course.

I would return but would skip the shower unless cleaned more frequently. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night in a 43' motorhome pulling a dolly. The roads are paved but narrow, and not well marked, they really need new painted arrows and better signs. Our coach will not make a couple of the turns without backing up, so we had to disconnect to get into a pull-through. The park has only 4-5 spaces for big rigs despite what the web site claims. I think all of the sites are now 50 amp, but did not try to verify that. All the sites we looked at were 50 amp. All have water, none have sewer.

The showers closest to the entrance office are much nicer than the others.

We stayed one night on July 4th and the park was maybe 20% occupied. We would stay again as it is well placed between Denver and St. George. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice state park in Utah. The park was in town next to a golf course. We were in site 35 and it had a very odd layout. We made it work. The sites were water and electric only with 50 amp service. The water pressure was very low. It was a nice quiet park. We would stay here again. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Site and surrounding grounds were mostly clean of trash. The site was level with plenty of room to park a 20 ft long rv. Folks with really long rigs will have less sites to choose from so reserving ahead would be wise. There are lots of trees, and lots of green space between sites. There is a holding tank dump area at end of park but not at the site. There is water and electric along with a standing grill, a firepit, and a large wooden picnic table (that needs a paint job -splinters). The hookups are at the end of the pad, which is not a pull thru, on the left side, so having long electrical cords and water hoses really help. One drawback is folks have to drive around to pick out their site and then drive back to the office to pay, so there is a fair amount of road traffic later in the day as folks check in. It is the 1st part of May and the place is filling up. I imagine after school gets out this place will be packed in the coming months, so reservation will be key. We camped at Green River State Park in a Truck Camper.
