Sites were long and narrow pull thru with dirt and a little gravel, but access was easy. WIFI worked occasionally, and the 50 amp power was good at our site # 33. The clerk who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The grounds appeared to receive the basic care. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome. Long, narrow pull thru with dirt and a little gravel, but easy to access. Grass was dead with mostly weeds and dust. Antenna TV, WIFI worked occasionally, and the 50 amp power was poor (as low as 112). The clerk who checked us in was pleasant, but the grounds appeared to receive minimal care. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This was one of the only places around on our route. The spot was level and was nice sized. The roads were ample enough. It had a great dog park, with one side for big dogs, the other for small. The people there all seemed nice. It seemed to be a real rv park, not a permanent resident park. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The grocery store in town is very nice. At the end of town is a melon stand with many different varieties of melons. They gave out samples. Probably the best melons I've ever tasted anywhere.

Came here after a poor experience at a park nearby and found it to be better. Check in was friendly and professional. Sites are close together, but there is some grass between them and they are level. Utilities seemed new. Nice, family vibe and good store/laundry facility. Too many red ants for my liking, but they did not come in the trailer. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of trees and not very well maintained. Sites are gravel and pretty close. Utilities easily accessible. Wifi was slow. Nice pet area with one side for large dogs and the other side for small dogs. Lots of red ants. Okay for a night stay. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Fine for an overnight stay along I-70. Country store, diesel gas accommodating large rigs, convenience store and self serve RV wash all part of complex. Registration queue was fine and staff was friendly. A bit of a circuitous route to get to our site in the back, and some low hanging branches that caught our roof antenna. Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are a bit tight getting in to. Picnic table. Utilities worked fine. No cable. 22 over-the-air channels. Restrooms were fine, nothing special. Sites long enough to stay hooked up. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Okay, so this place is completely adequate, and while I think it is overpriced for what you get, that's how things are in this area. Moab's prices are outrageous, and this is what is available. We liked this park, as it is peaceful, relaxed, super dog friendly, and not too far from Arches National Park and Goblin Valley. The spaces were super long, plenty wide, and level dirt and gravel. We had absolutely no trouble navigating the park, and are happy with the shade trees and back field and evening visits from grazing sheep. The bad: ANTS! I have never seen more red ants in my life. There are ant hills all over this park--I am not exaggerating. Ants in the play areas, ants along the sites, ants everywhere! When we first arrived, I sprayed around the perimeter of our RV and haven't had any ants inside, so I am happy about that. However, I went outside the RV to sit for a while (making sure there were no ants near me when I went out), and after about 30 minutes, I look down and giant red ants are streaming through my site! We are going to go get another can of ant spray and do the perimeter of our site. Like I said, we haven't had a single ant in the RV, so I don't mean for this to sound too off-putting, but to anyone who has a big bug aversion, this might be an issue. The other negative is that there is only 1 dumpster for the whole park, which I don't mind walking to, but my husband made mention that he didn't like having to walk so far to take it out. All in all, I think we would stay here again if we were in the area. It's the most affordable full-hookup around, Verizon is okay (good enough that we haven't pulled out the booster, but bad enough that my kids have complained), wifi is a bit slow but adequate. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Eat at the Chow Hound! The building didn't look super nice, but we liked the food a lot. We got the cheeseburger, fish sandwich, curly fries, and taco and chicken salads. My son said that his burger looked like McDonald's but tasted a lot better! Don't forget a milkshake! We don't usually get them, but read reviews on Yelp that said we should. We were not disappointed! While we waited, we walked across the street to see the missile!

Big campground with some cabins and a really nice dog park. There were only a handful of sites up front that had green grass, the rest of us had dry weeds. There was a laundry area that was nice size which we made use of. The office staff were nice and friendly. Would not stay there again, though. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects the monthly rate. Really good park when compared to others in town and in Moab. It is middle way for Canyonlands: Arches one way and Capitol Reef the other. The store that is advertised on their website is not accurate. It only has basic food and very high priced. The campground is mostly occupied one or two nights by fifth wheels and motorhomes. Very friendly people, happy to accommodate your needs and respond quickly to any problems you may have. Laundry is big, nice and appropriately priced. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone who asked. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park, friendly people, nicest enclosed dog park we have ever found... An area for both large and small dogs. We stayed two nights for some sight seeing stuff. We would stay again. I think our site was designed for two rigs traveling together... if trailers, then both doors would open to each other and no room for awnings. 10 mph speed limit, but few observed it, especially staff. There appeared to be no effort to water grass... April and very, very dry.. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

I think this park has more trees than any of the other parks in the area. Sites were close but unbearable since ours was staggered to site next door. We were not window to window. Dog park was great. Tv antenna channels were enough to satisfy us. Verizon signal was good. Wifi was satisfactory. My only complaint was that the landscaping could have been better maintained . Tips for other Campers:

Green River is not a big town but it has all you need. Grocery, hardware, auto parts, and some nice restaurants. From here we went to Arches National Park, Hiked in Moab, and visited Swayse's beach on the Green river. We could have gone to many more parks if time would have allowed

We stayed here 3 nights. Interior roads and site are gravel. Easy to navigate our 42 foot coach and toad around. Sites are plenty wide enough and we'll spaced. All utilities worked as expected including WiFi. Very convenient to Arches and Canyon Lands. Staff was friendly and helpful with information. I would recommend this park and stay here again. We stayed one night in off season and they charged full in season rate. We could have stayed at one of the nearby hotels for the money. Free internet was non-existent unless (as I did) you go right next to the antenna at the basketball court. When asked about the poor reception, park staff were indifferent. All sites are pull-thru buddy sites. Two rigs in the spaces will be real crowded. Good Sam ratings are wrong - I am generous when I say it is a 5,7,5. There are other parks in the vicinity. Check reviews. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
