The park is easy to reach from the main street through Hurricane and it is close to conveniences and is only 18 miles from St. George Utah. The park has nice spaces that are large enough so that you don't feel crammed against your neighbor. Most have trees and green grass, but there are some without tall trees in case you want satellite TV access. The WiFi at the park seems good and we had no issues connecting and maintaining signal. The only drawback is that they limit each space to two devices for connection so you have to always disconnect to accommodate other devices. That wasn't a big deal. We would recommend this park if you are in Southern Utah as a great base for touring the national parks and all that this area has to offer. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Beautifully maintained park in the small town of Hurricane which is about a 20-minute drive from Zion National Park. We had a paved, mostly level super site which was a back in with a good sized grass area on both sides of the unit. All sites seem to be well shaded with mature cottonwood trees. Electric tower was at the back of the site. It was easily accessed with steady power. Sewer and water were mid coach. Water pressure read 90s per our gauge. Cable TV provided was very good as well as both AT&T and Verizon service. We did not use their internet however were allotted hours per day without charge. There are no individual fire pits but there is a large group gas fire pit by the central wash station. The dog walk is a small section of dirt along the back of the park and is unfenced. Walking on the access street was easy as there was a sidewalk. Traffic noise was minimal even though it is about a block off of the main road. There is a grocery store and a CVS Pharmacy within walking distance. Reservations seem to be required in this area as it is very popular. Many of the units within the park seem to be longer term rentals but everything was clean and neat. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Zion National Park was about a 20-minute drive through beautiful scenery. Plan on arriving at the park before 9 a.m. to get in park parking. The Zion Lodge had a reasonably priced excellent breakfast buffet. Drive to Kolob Canyon section of Zion as it is outstanding and about 20 minutes drive if you go through La Verkin and Toquerville.

This is a top notch rv park, from the professionals in the office to the physical layout of the site. E everything is clean, roomy, nicely treed, very nice common areas. Very quiet & convenient. It is now our park of choice for visiting Zion. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

First let me say this is a very nice well maintained park. Our problem is not with the park but with the office staff. We reserved and paid for a site. The manager said we had that site. When we arrived to check in the office clerk told us that site was for a long term customer. We were given a site across from the site we reserved for the week. In that time there was no long term customer in there. As a matter there were 3 different RVs in there. Either the clerk did not know which site was which or was not interested in complying with our reservation. Manager was not at the office so we did not challenge the decision. Repeat, the park in very nice. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This RV Park in Hurricane Utah, is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at in our travels. The streets are paved and each of the spaces have long concrete pads, and most have grassy yards and lots of trees. Only the newest section of the park has rock yards and no/very young trees. There are many full-time residents here, but in very well-maintained spaces, with no overflow of junk around the units. The bathroom and laundry facilities are well maintained, as well as the grounds. They even have some teepees to rent for nights. Verizon worked well for us, but also the park WiFi was surprisingly good while we were there. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is very close to town, with a grocery store about 1/2 block away, as well as plenty of other stores. It is about 30-40 minutes to Zion National Park, and a couple of very nice State Parks are closer by.

The 2 young ladies in the office made our stay great! The older lady in the office that seems to be in charge isn't very friendly at all. We were wanting to try and extend our stay and without even looking she just kept telling us no because of the games. The next day we went back in and the 2 younger girls were there and after talking to them they were able to accomadate us for our additional nights. The groundskeeper on the blue golf cart was a joy to visit with and was very helpful with our cable, some branch trimming. It is nice to see him out patroling the park after office hours, it sure makes you feel safe. We would definately stay again but hope that our dealings do not have to be with the older lady in the office, she could use some training on how to talk to people for sure. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This could be an all 10 rv park but first the couple with us could not back into there site because of very low hanging branches. Someone had to come cut limbs to keep from damaging the RV. Almost all the sites are overly shaded, nice but all too low. First of all we were directed the wrong way to our site for the hookups to be on the correct side so after backing up and making a u turn We realized we were given the worst site in the whole park, site 22. This is like a half moon shaped site with a pole on one corner and tree on the other. Have you ever tried to make a 40 ft fifth wheel curve into a half moon shape that you can't pull straight into? Our door opened onto the street and there was no way to hook up the sewer until we were ready to unhook, backup to dump and leave. I will say the park could be absolutely beautiful, great bath/shower rooms, nice place to walk. There are quite a lot of permanent residents there but most sites are well kept. We would have liked to stay more than 2 nights but would not pay that high a price for that site. Only a very small motor home or pop up should be given that site. Would not stay there again. People in office really didn't care either. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Site location wasn't great as it was right at the entrance on the end so we were aware of all comings and goings; however, the site was spacious with room for both cars, the tow rig and toad. Huge shade trees were wonderful. Bathrooms were wonderful - large and individual so showering didn't feel like locker room, woohoo! This place is in town but didn't feel like it given the numerous trees, wide paved roads and being removed from the main road by a block. Stay here rather than Zion River RV Resort.....they are only 7 miles apart! We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very well managed and seems very clean and quiet. This is not a park for families with children. The GoodSam rate of $41 per night covers just two people and each additional person is $10 extra. Their main clientele seems to be retired couples so this works, but there are no amenities such as playgrounds, pools, fire pits, or open areas that would attract families. Overall a nice, clean, quiet park that works for couples and long term people. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This seems to be a park primarily for seasonal or longer term campers. We opted to stay in a satellite-friendly site (no shade), so we could be near the dog walking area. The site was level and nicely spaced. The dog walking area was 8 - 10 foot wide elevated packed dirt with overgrown trees, no enclosure, and a lower border of rocks. There is also an enclosed area behind the office, long and narrow with rock footing. The dog washing station was barely large enough for my small corgi. There are actually 3 entrances to the park, two for vehicles and one behind one of the sites where people can (and do) walk in off the street. None of the sites had picnic tables; this was a first for us. The park is well-kept, the wifi worked, and we had good Verizon service. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

We love Willowwind! THis is a great campground and close to the beautiful parks! The best part is most of the park has SHADE and that is a welcome relief in the desert. Our only comment is to park carefully and check your slides before you unhook ( you have to keep an eye on the electrical and trees). It's quiet and pleasant! Nice park lots of shade. The power was constant and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The bad thing is they collect for all nights you are staying up front and there is a 30 day cancellation policy. I don't mind loosing one night but 5 nights is a little tough. A lot of things can happen in 30 days and it did to us but fortunately we were able to move our reservations out a week and for that reason most likely wont stay there again. We were on the road for 3 weeks and this resort was in the top 3. We were driving through an "excessive heat" advisory for 3 days, and most of the RV parks had zero shade, dust, stickers, & poor reviews. Basically parking lots. WillowWind was like an oasis! We chose a shaded, pull-thru site so we didn't have to unhook the toad. The site was within 1.25" of being level, pad was concrete and our dogs appreciated the nice, thick patch of grass. Water spigot was in a valve box which took me a minute to figure out. While most sites are shaded, there is an area of satellite friendly sites. We and most others opted for shade this time of year. A few full-timers. The bathroom was immaculate, so much so that I took a shower in it, rather than use the shower in our RV. It was heaven! There is a dog wash, fitness center, laundry, tent sites, dog park area, clubhouse with kitchen, and group area. The interior roads are easy to navigate and sites clearly marked. The man next to us, with his slick 4 horse trailer/5th wheel, said he and his family always here whenever traveling through the area from Phoenix. Very friendly folks. Quiet campground. There are services...fuel, restaurants, grocery, etc within a 1/4 mile from the entrance. We overnight in WalMart parking lots, State Parks, Independent Parks, etc...different type places. If you are looking for a resort type campground...that is extremely well maintained, shady, level, safe and has plenty of services , I highly recommend WillowWind. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is not just any campground, this is a resort. Each site, except along the back row has grass and trees, and each are kept watered and manicured very nicely. An exceptional location in town, with paved streets and concrete parking. You can make this a destination "home" for all the national parks and sight seeing and actually feel good about going back "home" at the end of the day. This is the second best park I have had the pleasure of staying in. There are gas fire pits around the park to keep warm on those chilly nights and a doggie bath station for small to medium sized furry friends. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.
