We have stayed here the last two years while we volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We love the peaceful star studded nights and beautiful canyon views during the day. You have full hook-ups, 50 amp, water, sewer and a cement pad with a small patio and picnic table next to your space. There are some Juniper trees, bushes and cacti in-between the sites but the pads are staggered so it gives you a little more privacy. Both sites are back in but easy to maneuver. Close to the highway but no street noise and nothing but peace and quiet after the sun goes down. Pet friendly but there are burrs and stickers so fur baby feet beware. Some deer pass through the sites and turkeys are nearby. We reserve site 2 as the pad is a little longer so our 45’ fits with the jacks on cement. A 15 minute ride to the town of Kanab with grocery shopping, restaurants, hardware store and post office among other things. An hour away from Zion and a bit longer to Bryce, both worth visiting. Great Verizon reception, WiFi and TV through our satellite. These sites stay full so book early. We book a year in advance. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Motorhome.Undo

We stayed for 4 nights. As the previous reviews mentioned, the location is spectacular and the site was level, with concrete pad and shade. The only problem was that the sites are pretty close side by side and there is no curfew on checking in. So, when the occupant of the second site arrived at 12:15 AM (yes - that's 15 minutes after midnight) and took 15 minutes to back their trailer into the spot and another hour to settle in we were kept awake until about 2AM. If you are alone in the site or have more considerate neighbors, then it would be great. That's my only reason for the lower rating. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Motorhome.Undo

We were the only campers for the two nights we were there. It was like wilderness camping, but with hookups. The night sky was absolutely worth the price as was the scenery consisting of the red rocks of Angel Canyon in a 360 degree view. There are no amenities other than full hookups with 30/50 amp electric, water and sewer. There are lovely areas where the picnic tables are placed under juniper trees. We took the tour of the facilities and were impressed with what our donations have helped create. I had a great 3G signal on Verizon Wireless and was able to use my cell phone to connect to the Internet. I think that the people who stay here are dedicated donors to Best Friends as we are. It's not a place anyone just passing through would want to stay at. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Motorhome.Undo

Angel Canyon has two RV sites in a quiet location with spectacular unobstructed views of red rock canyons. The sites are spacious with 50 amp electricity, water, sewer, and each site has a picnic table on a stone patio. Both sites are back-in onto a level 35' concrete pad and there is no RV length limitation. There is approximately a 20' treed space between each site so privacy is not an issue. We received a good satellite signal and had strong Verizon data and phone coverage: AT&T coverage was not available. The picnic table for one site is on the opposite side of your unit's door, however it is in the shade. We had dinner with our neighbors one night and opted to use this picnic table due to the shade and fantastic view. It's possible that the Best Friends staff have read earlier reviews as both sites now have a picnic table and we didn't notice any issues with the dog waste land mines mentioned in the previous review. The website is clear that bathroom, shower and laundry facilities are not available so we did not deduct any points for no facilities. We joined the Good Friends Animal Society for $25, and therefore paid the reduced rate of $35 instead of $45. We really enjoyed volunteering at the center, taking the dogs on outings, and even had dogs stay overnight. Our neighbors did one better and adopted a beautiful puppy. We really enjoyed the location and loved that the income from the RV sites goes to the animal society. We will stay here again. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Motorhome.Undo

The setting for the TWO RV pads cannot be beat, but someone unfamiliar with modern RV's was in charge of the layout. The amenities for each site are opposite of where you would expect. In order to use "your" picnic table, you must walk around your RV and go to what most would consider the back side. There are no restrooms or showers or any other amenities of any type. There is NO PHONE SERVICE that reaches this area of the canyon, so be prepared and think seriously about what you would do in an emergency. The closest structures with phones are the cabins across the street, but they are a good distance away and it would be extremely difficult to find your way here in the dark. Although all guests are required to leash their dogs, nobody enforces this rule and you may find yourself camped next to someone with free-roaming dogs. The only clean up done regularly is trash pick up (two trash cans). Nobody comes by to scoop dog waste, so you will find many landmines as you wander outdoors to enjoy the setting. It is very, very beautiful and quiet but the pads are within a few feet of one another, so even though there are only two, if the other one is occupied, you can easily look into your neighbor's RV. We have stayed here on several occasions, but will probably choose to stay in town for our next visit. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Motorhome.Undo

You read that right: ONLY 2 SITES and both are back in. No modem, WiFi, cable, restrooms or showers. WiFi and a computer kiosk are available at the visitor center and at the main office. The two sites are next to each other. Nearest people are over 1000 feet away at the guest cabins and they're not always occupied. If you are looking for quiet, wilderness camping with the luxury of good clean electrical, water and sewer, this is it. I believe the sites are new this year. Pads are level. Only downside was the layout. Site 2 had no picnic table and the table at site 1 was on the wrong side. Neither site had the room to move the table to the proper side of the pad to be useful to the trailer door. The layout seemed to work well for the slide in camper in site 1. Make it a worthwhile trip and volunteer at the Best Friends organization for a day or two. We camped at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
