We stayed here for 10 nights. Great location for sightseeing. Very clean and comfortable. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. We will be back again. Highly recommend. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quaint little place. Not much in appearance from the road, but service was top notch, and we felt very welcome...almost like family coming home. McDonalds across the street. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The site we stayed in was not good for a tow vehicle but we didn't have one, so there may have been others that would have been. Water pressure needs a regulator, but they tell you that before you hook up. The high pressure makes for a fantastic shower when you use their showers though!

As others have said, small place in the middle of town. Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, and laundromat. Second time I have stayed here when going to Best Friends. Hosts were very friendly and easy to get along with. Spaces are a little tight, but I am okay with that given how nice and clean it is. All hookups worked well, site I had was easy to back in to, and was level. Lots of shade trees. Plan on staying here every time I am in town. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Much to do, I highly recommend a visit to Best Friends. The pizza place next door was quite tasty and Nedra's down on the corner was delicious!

This is a rather small park right in the center of Kanab so conveniently located to the nearby Laundromat and some restaurants. We stayed for four nights while we explored nearby Zion National Park and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, both of which we highly recommend. The park was full every night of our stay. The park offered full hookups. The park host suggested we use a regulator for the water but we were also okay just not turning the water on full force. All the staff here was very friendly and helpful. The bath house is very dated but functional and kept clean. You are issued a key for it when you check in for your stay. The "Dudettes" room had two small toilet stalls and one shower. There were paper towels but no soap at the one sink. There are some other parks in town that might be worth checking out but this one worked okay for us. Most others seemed to use it as an overnight stop. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Older park with spaces a little tight but with trees, level sites, plenty of charm, and very friendly hosts. Right downtown so easy walking to laundry, restaurants, and groceries. Noise at night was minimal as the town seems to roll up their sidewalks in the evening. As new visitors to the area, the good wifi was very much appreciated for investigating places to go and things to do. Best we've seen in a long time, really smoking. Kanab is very centrally located for many activities in this part of Utah: hiking, history, scenery, etc. The restroom facilities are very limited: for men there is one shower, one urinal, and one stall. And if you are over 6'-2", you will probably have to use the stall with the door open. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A great campground to use as a home base while in the southern Utah area. Convenient to many local attractions, including Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Also - can walk to restaurants, movie theater and shops. New owners are busy making improvements. Some sites are smaller, but still plenty of room for slides. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

While this little RV Park might be a little more rustic than some of the high-dollar RV resorts you've been to but it is an awesome place to hang your hat if you are in Kanab - especially if you are here for a few days of trail riding or just passing through and need space just for the night.

We were welcomed and immediately made to feel at home by the owners and camp hosting team. The restroom/shower facilities were spotless and well maintained. There are several eateries within walking distance, with a great old-fashioned burger restaurant and a McDonalds right across the street.

We spent several days here enjoying the awesome trails and breath-taking scenery of Hog Canyon, Johnson Canyon, and The Grand Staircase Escalante, covering over 250 miles of trails in 3 days. Johnson Canyon Road, (8 miles from the RV park on SR 89) will take you on a very scenic 50 plus mile ride through the back country to Cannonville. 4WD Recommended, but saw many regular cars on the trail.

Many thanks to the owners and camp hosts. A very special thanks to camp hosts who led us up Hog Canyon to that beautiful overlook. We had a fantastic time with all of you. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality... We will see you again, of that we are sure.

We were a total of 67 feet long. Had my 6.5 x 14 feet UTV trailer attached to the 5th wheel. Had to disconnect my tow vehicle. We're in the only oversized pull thru at the park.

This is an older park, so it's smaller, and a little more rustic, but they accommodated large DP's and other 5th Wheels with extra trailers.

They also have cabins. And it's great for overnighters, too. Lots of rental RV's with European tourists in and out on a daily basis. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kanab was packed when we arrived, and just by luck we were able to get the last site at Hitch N Post. It is a very small park, with just about the nicest and friendliest hosts - Doug and Susan- you could ever find. We have a big rig, and were able to maneuver into a very nice level spot. Great wifi, and lovely park neighbors. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

We used this park to visit Page, AZ while traveling west vs. driving east to Page only to return through Kanab. The park is small with gravel sites and about 6 tent sites. The park is quiet and most sites are shaded by mature trees. The staff is very friendly and informative about the area and sites to see. They discount your rent if you pay cash or check. When we were there, they offered a free day (#8) if you stayed 7 nights. We did not use the restrooms / showers, but we know they were popular with many guests. Their internet was good and reliable. Our Verizon service was good in town with mostly 4g service. Dish service comes from Salt Lake City. We would stay there again. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Zion NP east entrance is about 30 miles away and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Page (Antelope Slot Canyon Tour; (name of the tour company I used based on positive reviews) are each just over 70 miles. Lake Powell is on the road to Page about 60 miles.

The town had over 200 western movies filmed in the area, so they have put up markers throughout town with names of many of the actors. There is a Hollywood Museum that tells the history of the town's connection to Hollywood.

They have a "no barking dogs" policy but one lady had a patio type set up with 5 little yapping dogs in it. She didn't bother to shut them up and didn't care how much they barked. It is very annoying to everyone. Another two weeks of it to go. So don't expect peace and quiet here. Obviously the management doesn't care about barking dogs anymore. Besides that the staff are very friendly, the campground is clean and orderly. Camping sites available as well. Get rid of the barking dogs and you'd have the perfect spot! We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

2 grocery- stores within two blocks. One is closed on Sundays. Laundromat right across the street as well as a Kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and another church. On the main Highway there is Lotsa Motsa Pizza which is very good, but closed on Sundays. There is Big Al's Junction, hamburger joint, closed on Sundays and McDonald's. Two convenience store gas stations on the corners at the light. If you're walking pay rapt attention crossing the street at the light, no one pays attention.

Nice, clean, park with some shade trees. Gravel roads and level sites with the expected dust. Utilities are solid with better than expected Wifi. Verizon 4G was also good. No dog run but pets are welcome. Sites are somewhat close but enough room for slides and awnings. Great location for Red Canyon, Bryce, and Utah Highway 12. I would stay again.
