The big advantage of this park is the location inside Moab and the abundant shade. The sites are close but the driveways are wide enough for 2 vehicles. The sites have "L" shaped concrete pads with gravel every where else. No grass anywhere. Most sites are shaded although ours was not. The pull through sites are not long enough to stay hooked up except for the smallest trailers or MH+toad. When the park is full the Wifi doesn't work. The cable has analog and digital we had issues with the analog one night and the digital channels another night. The pool is small, no shade, and right on the main street/highway 191. No RV/camping supplies or store but there is a gas station at the front of the property. Somewhat pricey for what you are getting. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Mill canyon dinosaur tracksite and dinosaur bone trail are a hidden gem 15mi north of Moab. When going to Arches NP, get up early to beat the crowds. Some of the parking areas fill up by 10/11am. Spring of 2019 the park service will be starting an access reservation system so plan ahead.

Overall Rating:

For a commercial campground, Canyonlands RV resort is remarkably good. It has one thing that I haven't seen at other campgrounds in the area, shade. Real shade. Most every site is shaded by the trees during most of the day. The sites are a little close together, but that's typical for a commercial campground. The sites are concrete and fairly level. It's convenient to the south side of town and several good places to eat are nearby within walking distance. Keeping in mind that this is a commercial campground, in a nice community, near some of the best National Parks in the country, it is an excellent place to stay. I'd highly recommend it. The next time we come to Moab, we won't call any other place. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had great success with Adrift Adventures for Jeep tours in nearby Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. They will take you into the interior of Arches NP that very few people get to see. Well worth the cost. Also, Dead Horse Point State Park has some spectacular views. Dead Horse has an overlook that is covered and has excellent access for anyone on crutches, wheelchair or walker. It's also one of the best views in any of the nearby parks.

We tented here while visiting Arches and Canyonlands. The spaces were very close together. Quiet hours were not enforced. The location was convenient. Too expensive for what we got. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Tent.

All pea gravel, roads and pads, we were there in spring and the cottonwood trees were in full bloom, if you had to use your air conditioner, good luck. Swimming pool is right on the main highway of Moab next to the gas station. Most of the RVers staying there had 4 wheelers or jeeps. Rules were not enforced, such as quiet time. Overall Rating:

This was a surprisingly nice park. At first I was put off by how close the spaces were to each other, and, by how tight the road's were. There were plenty of big rigs in the park. The roads must have been okay. We drive a 24 foot class C and had no difficulty. The roads were crushed gravel. The site pads were paved concrete and reasonably level. Each spot had a picnic table and a tree. Overall it had a park like ambience. The showers were clean with plenty of very hot water. There are no amenities other than the pool. However, the location is awesome: just walking distance from downtown. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Unlike the the 5 parks in southern Utah we have stayed in this past week that were repeat visits from our 2012 trip, we have not been to this park since 2009. Once we realized how much busier this area is now in the fall, we called a week ago and managed to get a FHU, pull through for 2 nights. Since the park is heavily treed, I don't think there are any sites that are satellite friendly. So, we had to rely on their mediocre cable TV. With a fairly full park, we were only able to get on the Wi-Fi long enough to check the e-mail. The bathrooms were clean during our stay. Again, typical of the region, I saw no recycling. The often high, variable cost lowers the rating. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed several days. Staff was helpful and very accommodating especially when we added an extra day. We were in an Electric/water only site, close to bath/shower. They have a nice sized laundry facility behind the convenience store (Texaco station), 6 washers and dryers. $2 for 30 min wash and $1.75 for 50 min dry. Pros: within walking distance to 2 groceries, downtown and many eateries; pretty level sites with some shade! Our site was gravel but the full hkup sites are concrete pads. There is a pool. Cons: 7 am outdoor band practice heard from the high school next door during football season, which is now. Can be very tight manuvering into & out of spots, especially for larger rigs. Also right on the roadway so some road noise. But otherwise a very nice park; I would stay again. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

They use occupancy pricing. The more full they are the more they charge. We were here on a Saturday night and got a spot but we had to pay 76 bucks for it. For that, you get 25-year-old analog cable channels with snow on the screen. This is not a resort. This is a rather small tight park. It is owned by Highway West. And they can't upgrade the cable? This was a terrible value for $76. A very average park. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

The sites are mostly gravel with a concrete pad - a bit tight but more than many others we have stayed at. The concrete pad is a bit narrow for a big Class A, although okay for a smaller RV. Parking of tow vehicles was very limited, usually in the narrow driveways or in back of the picnic table. There is only 1 shower facility for all these sites with only 3 showers each for men and women - very limited. We frequently had to wait for showers during normal "rush" hours. This situation definitely need improvement. The entry from the south is a very tight turn to the right with limited space to park to register. The real value in this RV park is the proximity to downtown Moab, about 0.5 mi south and a short drive. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

When driving up from the south be aware that the right turn into the campground is very tight over a narrow gradual curb. Then there's the General Store that must be avoided by going further to the right. If you have a large Class A with tow, there is very limited parking near the registration building. If others precede you, parts of your rig may extend into the road at that right-hand turn.

This is not an easy park to navigate in a big rig. After check in I unhooked my tow vehicle and still had to back up a few times to make turns getting to my site. The trees are nice and provide great shade from the Moab heat. Sites are VERY close, so close that we kept all our shades drawn for privacy. We had to wait to exit the park because of others coming in early. Entry to the park is very narrow (one vehicle at a time), making access challenging. Sites are not long enough to park your car behind your RV, so many people park in front, making the narrow roads even more difficult to navigate. I would seriously consider another RV park with easier access if I visit Moab again. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walking distance to the main part of Moab. We had to leave with our tow vehicle unhooked. Took several miles before we found a rest stop to hook up. I would also recommend unhooking outside of Moab before arriving at this RV park, especially if you're in a rig longer than 30-36'. I was in a 40' motorhome, towing.

Used online res system, although I called directly, reservation mix-up- we did not get full hookup as reserved. 8 day cancellation refund policy, so we stayed, but not thrilled. Very crowded, narrow-tight campsites, hard to maneuver into and out. No direct path to bathhouse from tent sites/cabins - thus all manner of folks traipsing thru our sites day/nite, plus noise from dish washing station. Dogs tied up and left on long leashes :( On the plus side: the park has good location, pool, and friendly folks. I expected much nicer layout and campsites w/full hook-up for the money and thus getting one of the worst sites with min. hookup in the park left me disappointed. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is downtown with great location to parks, shopping, and restaurants; you can walk to town shops and such. I recommend calling directly to the Canyonlands park office for reservations - and get the exact site and services they are assigning you before paying your non-refundable deposit. Very friendly folks.

This is strictly an RV park with a pool and playground. A great place to stay if you are exploring Moab and want to be in town. The staff are excellent. There was a mixup with our reservations and although they were at capacity, they worked their magic to get us a spot. Spots are tight, though--not for newbies. Stayed here three nights while visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Weekends are very busy with off road vehicles.

Dog runs are dirt/gravel. No grass for dogs.

Laundry clean.

Located on Main Street which is crowded and difficult to get in and out.

Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. band practice at the high school next door and Friday night football.

Would not stay again. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
