We stayed here when we visited Arches and Canyonlands. The campground is back off of 191 and quiet, no road noise. It has 2 sections that flow into each other. A regular section and a Premium section where they say the sites are privately owned and rented out. We stayed in the Premium section which we felt the prices were too high. Yes, we did have a concrete pad. All the sites were spacious for both areas. The Premium section had it's own pool which we didn't use, looked clean. The restrooms and showers were very clean for both sections. The regular section has a pool in the process of being built. Their web site said it would be finished this spring, it's not finished. There are 2 swimming holes, one for pets and one for people. Both have a very unattractive farm wire fence. Not appealing at all. In the Premium section, the initial part started out great looking , this is what you see on their web site, but as you went further out into it the Premium sites the vegetation was less and the drip system was barely working. Also behind the Premium sites is a gravel area for a trailer storage lot, very unattractive. There's also a marshy area behind the property - very buggy and too dangerous if your kids wander. There are 2 dog parks and the solar lighting in the smaller one is very dim and the no lighting for the larger one. People also don't clean up after their dogs. The park has lots of rules, they don't enforce. Would we stay here again, maybe. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

My wife and I stayed on the "resort" side of this RV park. That means our sites were cement, very very long and wide, and wonderful plants and trees. We also had access to the resort side pool and hot tub. The folks running the place were very helpful and kind. The cable TV worked great as did the WIFI (you are advised that the WIFI is not for downloading or streaming and they do monitor and disconnect you for any violation). We used the laundry room which had new machines which worked good. They could use to put up a hanging bar in the laundry room to help make things easier. Overall it was a wonderful stay. But if we stay here again, we will save about 20 bucks a night and not stay on the resort side. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful park (we stayed in the resort area vs the park area). The normal park sites were very close together. The resort area sites are very spacious. Beautifully manicured place with very nice people. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Make sure you explore the town of Moab in additional to Arches and Canyonlands. Moab is a "cool" place to explore.

We stayed in the campground side in the partial hook-up sites. Campground is clean ,restroom and showers look like they are new, very clean. Park is in a great location to see Arches and all the other areas around Moab. My only complaint is all the ATV's that drive around the campground, Moab is full of ATV's so I guess its something you have to live with. This place seems overpriced, although it does have cable. Great red rock views all around. We didn't even bother with the crowded national parks, and just enjoyed the red rocks from the campground. Looks like a pool and spa is being constructed right now.

There is a strange division between the rich "resort" side of the park and the poor "campground" side of the park. You are not allowed to use pool at the resort side if you're on the campground side. Paved sites available on the resort side. The only complaint I have about this place is the price.

Nice dog park in the back of park with great views. Also a swimming pond for humans, and one for dogs. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice RV Park with nice owners about a mile north of downtown Moab and just a couple miles south of Arches NP. We stayed on the RV park side, there is also a owner's resort side that can be used when available for a higher nightly rate. RV park side has a small swimming pond, resort side has a pool. There is a small, older playground for kids. The bathrooms we used were very clean and nice. Good experience and good park overall to do the things around Moab. Seems a little pricey for what it is, but pricing seemed on par for Moab. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

So, there are two sections to this RV park. In my opinion, there should be a spot to review each section of the park. We stayed in the resort side. Hands down, it is the nicest RV resort we have stayed in, to date. The grounds are immaculate, the dog run is perfect size, the pool is great, the space between sites is perfect, etc. It is one of the very best. We had LTE from AT&T and the park has WiFi but warns against streaming, which I can appreciate. Also, the views of the Moab bluffs is striking in the morning as the sun rises. Tips for other Campers:

Go to El Charro Loco for the best Mexican restaurant in town. The service is a little slow but is easily made up for by the food. Be sure to go to Delicate Arch, in Arches National Park, at sunset. The colors are amazing. There is so much to do so spend your time wisely!

Very well maintained Park with new laundry room. You will have many ATV/Jeeps in and out of the park, but not an issue as we knew we were in Moab, and that is what they do! It is one of the closest RV Parks to the entrances of Arches NP & Canyonlands NP...so you don't have to drive through the busy town of Moab coming and going! We have stayed here before and would be the only place to come back to! We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a campground that has earned the right to call themselves a "resort." Beautiful scenery, Moab hills and mountains on every side of the campground. We stayed on the resort side of the campground. Beautifully landscaped, very large cement pads--large enough for tow vehicle, ATV's, etc. Our site had a nice pergola and adirondack chairs and picnic table. Fire ordinance in the area didn't allow for fire pit. Cable, fast wifi, and cell service were all a plus. Very quiet at night. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub were open (apparently open all year, which is nice). Bath house was "resort style" which large private showers and changing rooms. Owners were super friendly and took lots of pride in their facility. They were in the middle of renovating bath house on the campground side. We stayed at Portal for five nights and wished we could have stayed another week. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

5 miles from spectacular Arches National Park. 30-35 miles away from very scenic Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. We rode our bikes from the campground to the lovely Colorado Riverway Bike Trail. It runs about 3-4 miles before becoming part of the shared roadway. We loved Quesadilla Mobilla! for dinner (street truck quesadillas).

Stayed in the resort section which was very nice. Huge site, long & wide, tall grasses & plants ro died a visual buffer between sites. Staff very friendly at check in. Resort section included a beautiful pool & dog park with real grass! However, the laundry room was the pits. Old washers (3) & dryers, leaking ceiling, not very clean. Beautiful RV park! We stayed on the resort side so we could have access to the pool. The resort sites are huge but not all are the same - we had a beautiful patio set with covered portico and nice landscaping, but I noticed some sites just had a bare picnic bench and nothing else. You can't reserve a specific site, so it's a matter of luck. Easy travel in the park, sites were level, water pressure is very high (note that they require you to have the water on all the way - you will need a pressure regulator). We did not try the swimming pond, never saw anyone in it but quite a few folks at the adjoining beach. The fishing pond was fun but the mosquitoes will eat you alive. Koi pond was beautiful with a fish food dispenser as well. Super convenient to town and Arches but quiet, great views. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has both owned/leased spaces and just rentals. Some of the owned/leased spaces seemed worth the extra charge but others were definitely not so ask questions if this matters to you. This seems to be one of the nicer parks in Moab but do not expect lots of wiggle room. Roads are asphalt and sites are gravel. We had room for our 38 foot fifth wheel and big truck with the jeep along side.
The park is full of bicyclers and jeepers and can be a bit noisy in the evenings but just adults having fun and quiet well before bedtime. Lots of high end jeeps which never see trails or dirt (our does, maybe not so high end) so entertainment while at home.
I was less than impressed with the laundry room but found a great laundramat in town on the same street as the post office.
If I return to Moab I will stay here again. Verizon worked well. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a pull thru with water and electric that was level and spacious, with a patio slab and table. There is a dump on the way out. We would have stayed longer, but Moab is very crowded at this time of year. There is also a "resort" side of this park with more amenities. The park is away from the highway, so pretty quiet for being at the edge of Moab. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dinner at the Sunset Grille, overlooking Moab was a treat. We also made the long drive to Capital Reef NP, with a breakfast stop at the Tamarisk in Green River. Great food overlooking the river. Capital Reef is beautiful, don't miss the pie at the Gifford House and fruit picking, if in season.
