This is all about the location! Getting in and out is a bit of a challenge, even for a smaller 5th wheel (32ft). The roads are narrow asphalt and the sites are gravel. While our site didn't look level, we were able to get there without using blocks. It was, however, a little short and required parking our truck perpendicular to the trailer. Also, we had to move it twice to allow some huge motorhomes to pass. We did have a great view from our site, and the area is beautiful. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Goulding lodging and campground facilities seemed to have grown tremendously in the last 10 yrs when my family was last there. Campground sites were still well spaced with small trees usually between sites and adequate hookups. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Access to Navajo tours was right there and convenient. If you're visiting Monument Valley, Goulding is a good place to stay. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park, but very uneven lots, close by your neighbors, hard to park our truck. Showers nice and clean as are the restrooms however showers are small with no bench. Only two hooks for your clothing. Indoor pool looks nice but we didn't use it. Staff was very nice. Close to Monument Valley is a plus, the only RV Park in the area and I think they take advantage of it. Gouldings owns just about everything in the area, grocery store, gas station, cabins, restaurant, on and on. If you want to see Monument Valley this is the place to stay but good for a one time visit. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The nicest park in the area. Good paved inner roads with graveled sites. Signage is very good. Utilities are convenient and reliable. The Goulding's complex has about everything you might need ... fuel, groceries, simple restaurant, gift shops. Park is well-maintained. Excellent views of one of the prettiest places on earth! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Monument Valley is one of those places that can be called "eye candy!" The Navajo Nation Tribal Park is worth the time it takes to drive through (maybe about 3-4 hours). No RVs, but if your vehicle has some ground clearance, like a pickup or SUV, then no need to spend the money for one of the "guided tours."

Location, location, location. This place has it. It's about 5 miles from the Visitor Center for Monument Valley. It is easy to get here and easy to maneuver in the park into your site. Our red dirt site was level and had a fire pit and a picnic table. We were surrounded by beautiful red rocks and there are actually several trails here, one right from the park up to see a cool arch. There is an area close to the dump where you can hook up or unhook. There is a pool, a clean laundry and a dog area. Along with the campground is a very nice museum about the history of the place, a grocery store, gas station, gift shop and a motel. There is a shuttle to get you from the campground to these facilities. Make your reservation early because I'm sure in season this park is full. They also run a variety or tours through Monument Valley. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

This was the perfect location to experience Monument Valley. The Campground is situated in a small Canyon with a beautiful view of MV. Service was good. While I would not classify the sites as Big Rig Friendly, they are certainly manageable. Trees adjacent to the sites prevented awning and satellite deployment. Staff was helpful juggling sites to try to make it work. Water pressure was good as well as internet. Be sure to use surge protector/low voltage protection. When CG was full experienced low voltage at several sites. It would also new nice if the staff cleaned the BBQ stands. We enjoyed our stay. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Over priced for the site we had. Didn't see a lot of big rig friendly sites. We barely fit without having to disconnect with a 40' fiver. Staff at desk were teenagers, had a difficult time giving change; but friendly. This was an overnite stop, but the tours they offered looked interesting. We were directed across the entrance road to bring the dogs, scruffy field with hidden snakes, or so my wife thought. Park is gavel and red dirt. Sites were close, but heh, you get to know your neighbor; especially when they dump their tanks as you're sitting at your picnic table eating. Pretty surroundings, nice indoor pool. Some shade as it is hot, imagine that in the desert. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful views from the park. Well maintained and great staff. Easy to enter and leave. Laundry was well maintained. I would have rated a 10 were it not for the stray dogs that visited every evening around dinner. That kept us from enjoying a meal outside. Great park, with great views. Efficiently run by staff. big rig friendly. did not use wifi or cable. In short this is a great park. We love the combination of rv'ers and campers. Lots of children and foreign travelers. Only complaint would be that they do not enforce the speed rules. There are so many walkers and children people need to drive very slow. What are we in such a hurry for? We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

It's Monument Valley which is stunning. Recommend if you do not have a hearty vehicle, you do go on a tour. The road through the park is very bad and would be difficult for a smaller car to navigate. We have a large truck.

It looks like Gouldings is pretty much the whole town. They have a lodge, restaurant, campground, general store and who knows what else. The campground is not bad for this part of the country. It's very clean and well laid out. Most all the sites are pull-through with full hookups. The park filled up with "Cruise America" rental units. This must be one of their popular stops. After touring Monument Valley be sure to see their free full length John Wayne movie (shown every night) and see the same rocks you saw at Monument Valley. It's great fun to see the movie scene go by the same monument multiple times! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

See Monument Valley. It's not something that I would crave a repeat of but as a one time visit, it's good. See the museum at Gouldings. Interesting to see all the movies that have been filmed here.

You can not beat the views and proximity to Monument Valley. You will pay for that proximity though. This is the most expensive park we've ever stayed at. The grounds and facilities are nice and clean. We caught up on laundry while there. The bathrooms are clean, but we had trouble with the key cards for the showers and used our camper shower instead. The drive up to the park is steep with a number of speed bumps along the way. Be mindful that you are in the desert and there are lots of bugs, critters and animals that come out at night. Our site had the biggest (2.5") cockroach I have ever seen. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was a pleasant surprise. It is nestled among red cliffs with great views of the valley. The sites are nothing to write home about but serviceable. We had a pull thru that barely was long enough for our coach and towed Honda Civic. Sites are fairly spacious. Shade trees. Cable TV was good. Good Satellite. But the attraction is the setting and the views!!! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Mostly level dirt sites, many pull-thru's, full hook-ups with 50 amp. Large enough for big rig and truck. Room for slide-outs. Interior roads sufficient for big rigs. Absolutely beautiful cliffs surrounding RV park. Indoor pool. No hot tub. Wifi was OK...most of the time. Goulding has a good restaurant and a fuel station near. Our neighbor had a water problem and Goulding sent repair people immediately; it was impressive! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Goulding RV Park & Hotel offers a number of tours. We highly recommend taking the all-day tour. It takes you to places tourists would not see any other way. It was incredible! But be prepared for rough, bumpy roads and a lot of dust! Ask for Carol if she's available; she was an amazing tour guide!
