This is a very young park. It will take 30 years for the trees to grow tall enough to provide shade. The gravel site was not level, we had to use our boards and the jacks. The utilities are a little weird. The electrical post is up forward toward the front of the coach. We had to locate the rv a bit fwd into the road to reach the utilities. All the sites are this way so we couldn't ask to be moved. There is a little grass that is struggling but mostly it's gravel and dirt. There are 4 toilets for the 59 sites. The office is a small building with a few supplies. This place is a bare-bones stripper. Good for an overnight in a pinch. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed in a 43' motorhome to visit Monument Valley NP area. This is a new KOA CG on Milepost 2, Highway 163 in Monument Valley. Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Big rig friendly. Interior roads are gravel. Our site was a FHU PT, level gravel site with a picnic table and grassy side. No shade, new plantings will take time to provide shade. Large grassy play area with swings. There are 4 Restrooms-showers that are in great condition. Really nice, grassy fenced-in doggy park w/bags. Close to MVNP and Goulding's Trading Post Museum famous for Hollywood movies. CG views are SPECTACULAR. Sunrise and sunsets are not to be missed and stargazing is amazing. This CG is still under construction but staff is hard at work to complete the work. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very new campground that they're still working on, but it has a lot of potential and the owner is a really nice guy. Our site was the most level site we'd ever parked on -- I only needed to put the jacks down to stabilize the rig in the wind, and man does it blow out there this time of year! The park is in a good central location for exploring much of the Monument Valley, though it's a bit of a drive to get to Gooseneck SP, Valley of the Gods and Natural Bridges, though they're all totally worth it. I'm very much looking forward to visiting this KOA again and seeing how it matures. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Check in was simple and quick. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pulled into our spot but realized that the hook ups are towards the front half of the site. The sewer hookup was was above ground and they just happened to have pavers laying around so we stacked them up to assist the sewer line. We really liked that in the middle of the desert, they have grass at our site! The view was amazing of Monument Valley. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in late May. While I appreciate the positive comments about the scenery, these folks could step it up on improving this site. Be prepared to be fully exposed to the elements, as it will be years before the trees now planted will be effective. The wi-fi is non existent. Very primitive. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The Monument Valley KOA was a tiny strip of gravel inside a fence with no windbreak, whatsoever. The wind was blowing 25 - 35 mph when we checked in and sand was everywhere - we felt like we were in a dustbowl! Just walking to and from the office (with our mouths closed) left sand in our teeth. In the office, then were selling Tide pods for $1 each. We had planned to grill meat for dinner, but we didn't want to venture back outside until morning. On the bright side, when we looked out our window we had a gorgeous view of Monument Valley. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground recently taken over by KOA franchise and much work is being done to improve it. That said, sites are level and convenient - they are trying to grow some grass, but most of it is gravel covered! In a few years it could be spectacular! We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow. The best scenery ever. Right in the middle of Monument Valley. The pull-through spaces are very large and even have a patch of grass that is big enough to use. Utilities were new, up to current standards. The owners are on site and very helpful in providing a good camping experience. One of the owners even changed a tire for a camper while I was there and took the tire to someone to repair. I would definitely return just for the view. $20 for a 4 day pass to the Navajo lands. Well worth the cost and the views. Take multiple days to do photography. It changes especially at sunrise and sunset.

This is a brand new KOA with some construction still going on. The dog park was actually built while we were there. The staff at check-in were helpful & friendly. The park is clean & neat. Our site was in the row farthest from the highway & was quiet, level & roomy. There was actually room to park next to our RV. No shade as yet because the trees are still very small and our site had a small plot of grass with the sod fairly new. That gives plenty of space between each front yard & the neighbor's hookups. And, oh WOW, the views! Worth staying here just for that. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is about 1 mile from the turn-off to the main part of Monument Valley Tribal Park. Also a mile from the turn to Goulding where there is a gas station. The Navajo Nation does observe daylight savings.

. As other people have said it is a really new park. The owners are very friendly and the staff is very good. There's really nothing special about this RV park as the sites are on gravel. They have a picnic table Fire Ring 50 amp service. Good water pressure and water and good sewer connection. The views are fantastic unfortunately we were in a 50 amp site which is on the back row with other rigs in the way of your view. This is a very easy park to get your big rig in and your towed vehicle. This is why we chose the parking convenience of where it was at ease to get in and modern electrical connections. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

New park, fairly level gravel pads and roads, nice sites, not huge but decently spaced for our 35 ft 3 slide 5th wheel. Each has table and fire ring and larger spots in back have grass. Mostly pull-thrus but a few back-ins for smaller units. Bathrooms/showers and laundry are new and clean. Play area for kids and pet area (not enclosed as of yet) but plenty of walking area for your fur baby. Newly planted trees so no natural shade. Office has some basic necessities and firewood although still working on the inside. Looks like cabins are in the plans also. Staff has been very nice. WiFi great (sp27). Verizon reception has been good. Only drawback is NO cable or antennae reception (fortunately we have satellite). Views around/from KOA are postcard perfect!! Great place to stay for visiting the Valley and surrounding areas! We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is basically brand new. It is on the highway right in Monument Valley. The views are stunning. The roads and pads are gravel. There is plenty of room too maneuver. Sites were well sized. The bathroom shower combo was brand new with plenty of hot water. Full hookups worked perfectly. The wifi worked only okay when the park was empty and froze up in the evenings. TMobile "roamed", so we had phone but no internet. The park has a play area for kids. Since the park is off the highway, there is really no place to walk or bike. Highway noise was not a problem since there were very few cars passing by. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

New KOA campground along the main road just NE of the visitor center. Surrounded by amazing views of the monuments in every direction. Great night skys. Level gravel/rock sites with grass areas, new trees planted, picnic tables and fire rings. The summary should be changed to show 50amp service. Plenty of room between sites. Wifi was also spotty. Verizon reception is poor and comes and goes. No cable or OTA. Very helpful management and staff. Some buildings such as the office were still being finished. We were a little dismayed at first when we pulled in bit this park turned out to be everything we needed. Had some RV problems and the owner checked in often to see how we were doing. He also gave us some great ideas about when and how to explore the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ask the owner abut the best way to explore. We found the $20 fee to drive the very bumpy road out through the monuments to be worth it. Takes a couple of hours. There are also tours. Saw all types of cars on the road. Take the loop through the Moki Dugway to the Natural Bridges NP to Blanding and back. Can include the Valley of the Gods gravel road in this loop, altho we did not.
