Campground recently taken over by KOA franchise and much work is being done to improve it. That said, sites are level and convenient - they are trying to grow some grass, but most of it is gravel covered! In a few years it could be spectacular! We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't miss driving through the Monument Valley park. $20 well spent! The sunset on the monuments viewed from the campground is SPECTACULAR! Most campers came out to take photographs which led to friendly chats and new friendships.

Wow. The best scenery ever. Right in the middle of Monument Valley. The pull-through spaces are very large and even have a patch of grass that is big enough to use. Utilities were new, up to current standards. The owners are on site and very helpful in providing a good camping experience. One of the owners even changed a tire for a camper while I was there and took the tire to someone to repair. I would definitely return just for the view. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.

$20 for a 4 day pass to the Navajo lands. Well worth the cost and the views. Take multiple days to do photography. It changes especially at sunrise and sunset.

This is a brand new KOA with some construction still going on. The dog park was actually built while we were there. The staff at check-in were helpful & friendly. The park is clean & neat. Our site was in the row farthest from the highway & was quiet, level & roomy. There was actually room to park next to our RV. No shade as yet because the trees are still very small and our site had a small plot of grass with the sod fairly new. That gives plenty of space between each front yard & the neighbor's hookups. And, oh WOW, the views! Worth staying here just for that. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is about 1 mile from the turn-off to the main part of Monument Valley Tribal Park. Also a mile from the turn to Goulding where there is a gas station. The Navajo Nation does observe daylight savings.

. As other people have said it is a really new park. The owners are very friendly and the staff is very good. There's really nothing special about this RV park as the sites are on gravel. They have a picnic table Fire Ring 50 amp service. Good water pressure and water and good sewer connection. The views are fantastic unfortunately we were in a 50 amp site which is on the back row with other rigs in the way of your view. This is a very easy park to get your big rig in and your towed vehicle. This is why we chose the parking convenience of where it was at ease to get in and modern electrical connections. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.

New park, fairly level gravel pads and roads, nice sites, not huge but decently spaced for our 35 ft 3 slide 5th wheel. Each has table and fire ring and larger spots in back have grass. Mostly pull-thrus but a few back-ins for smaller units. Bathrooms/showers and laundry are new and clean. Play area for kids and pet area (not enclosed as of yet) but plenty of walking area for your fur baby. Newly planted trees so no natural shade. Office has some basic necessities and firewood although still working on the inside. Looks like cabins are in the plans also. Staff has been very nice. WiFi great (sp27). Verizon reception has been good. Only drawback is NO cable or antennae reception (fortunately we have satellite). Views around/from KOA are postcard perfect!! Great place to stay for visiting the Valley and surrounding areas! We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is basically brand new. It is on the highway right in Monument Valley. The views are stunning. The roads and pads are gravel. There is plenty of room too maneuver. Sites were well sized. The bathroom shower combo was brand new with plenty of hot water. Full hookups worked perfectly. The wifi worked only okay when the park was empty and froze up in the evenings. TMobile "roamed", so we had phone but no internet. The park has a play area for kids. Since the park is off the highway, there is really no place to walk or bike. Highway noise was not a problem since there were very few cars passing by. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.

New KOA campground along the main road just NE of the visitor center. Surrounded by amazing views of the monuments in every direction. Great night skys. Level gravel/rock sites with grass areas, new trees planted, picnic tables and fire rings. The summary should be changed to show 50amp service. Plenty of room between sites. Wifi was also spotty. Verizon reception is poor and comes and goes. No cable or OTA. Very helpful management and staff. Some buildings such as the office were still being finished. We were a little dismayed at first when we pulled in bit this park turned out to be everything we needed. Had some RV problems and the owner checked in often to see how we were doing. He also gave us some great ideas about when and how to explore the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ask the owner abut the best way to explore. We found the $20 fee to drive the very bumpy road out through the monuments to be worth it. Takes a couple of hours. There are also tours. Saw all types of cars on the road. Take the loop through the Moki Dugway to the Natural Bridges NP to Blanding and back. Can include the Valley of the Gods gravel road in this loop, altho we did not.

This is an awesome park. It's changed ownership and the new owner must get 110% credit for all the hard work he is doing. Everything is new and under construction but its all good. The location is perfect. Along the main highway but very quiet. A car an hour, if that, during the night. The best part is the amazing views from the campsite. Stunning. Great staff. Very friendly, helpful and hardworking management/owner. Look foreword to another stay. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You can see Monument Valley from the KOA but do spend the 20.00 to drive into the Navajo area and do the drive. A bit of a rough road so no bikes, ATV's or RV's. Valley of the Gods is near by, free and very much like the Monument Valley.

Overall Rating:

Monument Valley Camp Park is a brand new campground in the valley off of route 163, on the Utah side of the border. It's basically across the road from Goulding's. All sites are flat, gravel, and have full hookups. Pricing is based on how big the site is. There are a tightly packed row of back in sites along the highway that are $35, some fairly tightly packed pull through in the middle of the park that are $40, and some pull through sites with a little patch of grass in between sites for $45. The $45 sites were reasonably spacious. None of the sites was very long, but people with bigger rigs were still able to make it work. The campground wasn't crowded at all, so the site spacing wasn't an issue, but on a busy day, things might be a bit tight. The restrooms and showers looked brand new, like they had been built the week before. Reviews of this campground on other sites complained about no showers, so they probably are brand new. Grass, trees, and other vegetation was also freshly planted. Right now, it's full sun everywhere. In a couple of years, there will be a bit of shade. The whole campground is pancake flat, and had views of some of the monuments. The weirdest thing was the sewer pipes stuck about 8" above the ground. My motorhome is pretty low to the ground, so this made it hard for me to dump. The campground owner is a nice guy, but he wasn't around most of the time. He seemed to be around mostly in the late afternoon. I didn't ask, but I suspect he still has a day job while things are getting started, and he's coming over to take care of business after his day job. Goulding's about a mile away has a shop and restaurant, if you need that. This place is purely a campground. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.

This is a brand new park. The restrooms are under construction, so if you need them or a laundry, this park may not be for you. If you need a nice place to stay that is clean, level, and with Monument Valley in front of you, this is the place to stay. I called for reservations and was told he gave a military discount. He's not ready for Good Sam or anything else. The office is not always manned, but there are instructions to self check-in. There is no cable or OTA TV. However there is a free wifi that worked very well. Go very slow as you enter this park. It is a little rutted. The interior roads are fine. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Monument Valley. We camped at Monument Valley KOA (formerly Monument Valley Camp Park) in a Motorhome.
