The campground is run by the Best Western across the street. $25 per night but if you pay for a week it's $18 a night. The sites are FHU back in on stones; grassy area behind with Virgin River down the hill behind the sites. Laundry, restaurant at BW. They offer WiFi but it was virtually unusable. Cell tower on hill but only for AT&T; no Verizon service. Golf course behind BW to walk dogs. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed this park. This park is a side road park across from the Best Western. You make the reservations with BW. PROs: 1. Just outside of east entrance of Zion - which provides you great views of sheep and deer on your way in. 2. There are 11 sites. 2 sites are permanent residents - leaving 9 available. One has 50 amp (Site #9), all others are 30 amp. The great thing about this park is that it is just down the road from the East entrance of Zion. The park is all back in and 9 of the 11 sites will handle big rigs (over 40'). 3. You back up against a river which is down below several feet, so no chance of flooding. Behind the RVs there is a 5 ft green grass which was great for dogs. 4. Since there are no amenities at this park, you can go across the street to the Best Western and use the pool and spa. Plus you can use the golf course. 5. Staff at the Best Western was very nice and funny so that was a great check in. CONS 1. If you need a 50 amp and site 9 is taken you will have to use 30 amp slots. 2. No amenities but you can go across to Best Western and use their bathrooms, pool and golf course. 3. Sites are first come, first serve so there are no reservations for any specific site. Overall, we would come back to this park. Very quiet and accessible to Zion. Made our trips fun and we got to go through the Mile Long tunnel to get to the Visitor's Center. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is on the east entrance of Zion. You get to the Visitor's center in less than 30 minutes after going through the Mile Long Tunnel. We checked in on Saturday and there were 4 sites open but on Sunday they all filled up. Might want to make plans for a Thursday or Saturday checkin if you want Slot #9 for 50amp.

Loved this site. 11 sites on the East Fork of the Virgin River. $115.00 for a week. Part of the Best Western across the street. Use of pool and jacuzzi. A 9 hole executive golf course, $5.00 with a cart. Good food at their restaurant. I don't recommend the one across the street from the Best Western and next to the RV sites. Not part of the Best Western. Could use some tender loving care and needed picnic tables but overall great value. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a sad excuse for an RV Park. All electric service was 30 amp except for one. The two perms both has issues with sketchy behavior or noisy dogs The office (located across the six lane highway at the Best Western ) tried to overcharge me $10 over my reserved price . No cable, no OTA. Luckily the WI FI was good enough to use Netflix . Other than its proximity to Zion NP there is little in the way of positives for this sad little piece of land. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The best thing about this park is the little golf course right across the street. Your camping fee includes 9 holes walking free each day. If it hadn't been for that, I would have parked in Kanab for better access to services. There is nothing in the park except your spot - you have to go across the road (a busy highway) to the hotel for any amenities. The spots are very tight, with tall trees in between most sites. Parking towed or tow vehicles is a problem. I barely got my slides out, and the trees were brushing the top of my rig. The sites all look out onto the highway, but are backed up onto a very pretty stream. There is traffic noise during the day, but it was surprisingly quiet at night. There are a few o/a tv channels, but very poor reception. Verizon is very sketchy, and it's phone service only (via a local provider), no data. Wifi was out several days, but when it was working it was excellent. Nearest groceries are in Kanab. I will definitely stay here again because of the golf course, but I otherwise would not return for more than an overnight. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

For being close to the highway, this park is very quiet. You are parked beside a small creek, full services and the use of the hottub across the street at the hotel. It is centrally located to sites the area has to offer. We will definitely be back! The only thing that would make this place perfect would be if we could enjoy a campfire in the evening. For $20 a night we received a 30A full-hookup spot under huge shade trees. They even allow full access to the hotel pool and hot tub, which is open until 11 and very handy after hiking in Zion all day... With it's proximity to the Zion entrance, what more could you want? The prior reviews are accurate. Additionally:

- bathrooms are across the street (U.S. 89), no showers

- sites need to be picked up (butts and bottle caps)

- Wi-Fi poor, Verizon 1x, AT&T excellent

- access to a golf course behind the hotel and restaurant

Sites are generally flat back-ins to a creek with trees. Easy stop after a long drive and good for accessing East Zion. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hard to talk about service or cleanliness when all you do is check in and there is nothing to clean. That being said, it's a good deal. I thought the road noise would be worse, but vehicles are just rolling when they go by and in late May, there wasn't much traffic, especially at nite. Plenty of room to back in anything, levelish, and across the street to bathrooms at the hotel or c-stores. I didn't check all, but my space and a few others were only 50 amp. Fortunately, the grocery store in the next town north had an extensive (and surprising ) hardware store in the back with an RV section with a well priced adapter. Also good food at the German restaurant. Ate at both restaurants by the park, couldn't finish either meal. We were there four nights exploring Zion and felt it was a very good deal. Would stay again. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Things to do...Zion maybe? Kidding aside, check the museum/cave north of town. A few bucks to get in. Not the the Smithsonian, but fun. The golf course, for you fellow devotees of this stupid game, is tough. First tee, from the "tips" (it is a short nine) is 215 yard par 3 through, not over, trees. There are others equally "challenging" and for park patrons (me anyway) I paid a $5 dollar cart fee and went around twice. Enjoy

Easy sites to back into. Ours (#10) was quite level. The traffic noise was tolerable, speed was about 35 MPH so even the semis were moderate, better than a few others parks we used. Sitting, next to stream made everything OK. Great staff at motel. Area seemed under good management but only saw a few garbage collectors so really couldn't guarantee security protocols. Excellent pool, hot tub, and laundry (3 machines @ $1.75). Wi-Fi was 3-4 bars, AT&T cell was adequate. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Exceptional value and agree with most of below reviews but we had no dust issues or road noise issues during the night. We were out in the day. In fact, but for lack of 50amp and proximity to the highway, I'd rate it higher. At first, I was thinking why not have some screening landscaping between the park and road. But then being gone all day, I think I like the idea of the office across the highway being able to see what's going on. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Affiliated with the Best Western motel across the street, this is an Excellent jumping off point for Zion NP at the junction of Hwy 9 & 89. There's even a 9 hole golf course! Internet is excellent although telephone is Not, nor is TV reception. The little stream out my back window is the Little Virgin River (stream) that flows into Zion. Just like every park I'm been in throughout NM and Utah, it is a gravel lot. Poor entry from the roadway and certainly not a Resort - but that's not why I'm here...20 min. to Zion. Summer I would enjoy the hotel pool and several restaurants are steps away. Fuel is across street but no grocery for miles. Once you get backed in, it's quite a quaint little place! And you can't beat the price. My price was for a week plus taxes. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This rating is all about the location and price. This campground is really a parking lot across the road from the hotel by the same name. The location was perfect for us to visit Lower Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ; Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park. We were rarely in the RV during our stay so all we needed was good power, good water pressure and a level site. This campground provided that as well as good free Wi-Fi in the coach. We also ate at the restaurant and used the hotel hot tub after a long day of hiking. All in all a great deal for $17.95 per day. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Of it's type, it's a great place. Nice shade and great internet. Fairly handy to Zion where RV sites are at a premium now. Traffic noise, but NO trains, which is unusual. We'd come back. The scenery is outstanding. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is a parking lot with full hook ups. It doesn't have any thing else. And the internet did not work in our fifth wheel, but I like the park fine. It's easy to get in to, there are trees to park under and the people who check you in at the Thunderbird Best Western across the street are really nice. I would stay there again.
