Second Time to stay here and got 1/2 price for the one night we stayed through Enjoy America but worth the full price anyway! Excellent place to stay in Salt Lake City. Level concrete full hookup pull thrus 30/50 amp sites. Grass between sites and excellent cable and wifi. Directly on hike/bike path along creek. Will stay again. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very close packed, but they put me in a spot that fit us. Grass between spaces, with concrete pad for RV and vehicle. Some spots have shade trees. Centrally located without being in downtown. Easy freeway on and off, quiet to us. Major road construction as you enter from the north, but no real issue. Enjoyed our stay. Good launching site for touring SLC and surrounding areas. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Did laundry there and was quite crowded on Sunday afternoon, but the pool is adjacent, along with the Air Conditioned clubhouse, office and small shop that it was no problem. Other campers were very cooperative, and we all got our washing done. $2.00/washer (32 mins) or dryer load (.60 mins) We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great park. Spotless grounds and facilities. Friendly staff. Convenient location. A great place to rest for a couple of nights. I wouldn't call it a destination park but I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. I only gave it a 8 instead of a 10 because of the proximity to the freeways with regards to the noise. Not loud but you do notice them when sitting outside. Will gladly stay here again when heading through SLC. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed at Pony Express May 20, 2018. Found the park to be modern, excellent conditions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restrooms or showers, but the park as a whole was very clean and well kept. Will be staying there again in 2 weeks. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a greenbelt bike path adjacent to the park with gate for users. Hope to return with bikes and check it out. Lots of recreation at park. Pool, kids play area, dog area, giant chess, horseshoes, etc. Park is gated and secure.

Very clean and modern park, and very safe area. Sites are a little close together and there is lots of highway noise at night. Wifi was excellent. Swarms of giant gnats around the tree at the site, but at least they didn't bite. The tree at the site did not provide much shade, and were situated so as to preclude use of awning. Right next to bike trail. Site not level. Not exactly a bargain, but if you want to stay right in SLC, the most reasonable option. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very nice park, sites are close and not quite level. Hookups were in the front of site, so needed extensions for water, cable, and almost electric. Would rate this park higher, but for lack of customer service. If you have a problem, don't expect the staff to help, you are on your own. We had a hard rain all day Saturday, and we had a leak from one front running light. As we don't have ladder, or access to the roof of the motorhome, I asked if I could use a ladder for 10 minutes to seal up the light, "we don't loan our ladders" was the response. Tried the RV dealer next door to buy a ladder, but their parts department closed at 1:oo on Saturday. Went back to use towels and bowls to help stop damage to the cabinet where the water was leaking. We had some cabinet damage which will need repairs when we get home. Thanks maintenance guy for nothing. Will NOT stay here again. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This rate is a GS discount w/o tax. RV park is really close to interstate but no road noise. It is an easy access to downtown Salt Lake City. This is a gated park with concrete roads and pads. There is a nice green area for dogs plus access to a gated trail ...Jordan River Parkway Trail. This trail is used by bikers, runners, those walking, and pets. Really a neat amenity. Very clean park and nicely maintained. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Easily a 9 or 10 rating. Well maintained park with concrete pads and grass between the sites. It is close to the freeway, but noise did not bother us. Easy in and out. Secure with passcode to get in. Sewer hookup with one length of hose only just barely got our motorhome inside the space - but tons of room in front. Nice management. Would absolutely stay here again. We traveled from Georgia to Idaho and back, so we stayed here on both legs of the trip. It's a beautiful park with concrete pads and grass between the sites. It is close to the freeway, so we did have a bit of night noise. They do have a guy that guides you to your site and explains the various hook-ups. The main road leading to the campground is undergoing some construction but was easy enough to navigate. We'd stay here again. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good security, excellent customer service except for an issue with late check in (office closed one hour earlier than listed on their website and no reservation was left in the designated box. We sat outside the gate for nearly an hour, after 10 hours in the road. I would recommend a confirmation call if you might check in after hours). A negative is the location, it's in an industrial area right next to I-215/I-15. It's not an attractive area and the road noise is constant. However, it is easy to get in and out and given the congestion in SLC, not sure where else it could locate. It's also pretty easy to get to anyplace in the area. WiFi is terrible, but that seems to be the case with most RV parks. Given that and the security issues of open WiFi, we bump up our data plan when we're on the road. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Utah is a photographer's paradise, if you do a google search on the National and State Parks in Utah, there are excellent guides (sorry, was not allowed to post the link). We came to SLC for the best in country Eye Institue of Utah, the Park was reasonably convenient.

The SLC road grid designation system is...interesting...use your GPS. You can stay off the interstates by using Redwood, the main road outside the RV Park.

There are only 3 parks worth looking at in Salt Lake. This is the best one. It's very accessible to HW 15. It's in an industrial area and is well maintained. The sites are close to each other but they do offer a bit of grass and a tree as well as a table. They have good security and seem to have good managers. Overall Rating:

This is a large RV park located within 25 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City UT. Well laid out, all sites are concrete surrounded by very nice grass. Some sites have a tree. Hookups were easy with a nice pedestal and the sewer connection was at ground level. Most sites -- including ours -- have a round, plastic picnic table. Since our RV is short (23') we could fit our tow car on site, but for longer RVs, you may have to park your tow car in a designated parking area. We only stayed 2 nights so we didn't utilize any of the other amenities but they seemed to have enough -- including a pool and nice playground -- to truly count as a resort. The office management were polite and efficient and a helper with a golf cart takes you to your site. The WiFi was fair but got a bit overloaded starting around 6pm. The Verizon signal was good and it worked well for the times we used it. Since the park isn't too far off of I-15, it was convenient enough and pleasant enough that we would likely stay there again when in the area. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Being right across from a refinery, it wasn't the best part of town, yet it was easy access to almost all resources you might need. If you have time, spend an entire day on Antelope Island... buffalo, pronghorn antelope, cool birds, etc. can be found there and you can get pretty close to many. There is also a 19th century farm which makes for an interesting visit.
