Only stayed one night enroute east, but we really enjoyed the campground. Our pull-through was long enough to stay hooked up and was quite level. It's out of the way, but has lots of amenities. The pull-through are very close together, but we had no problem getting in and out. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at Goulding's RV Park in Monument Valley, Utah, and could not have been more pleased. The park is kept up very well. There is a small convenience store located in the park. The showers and restrooms are very clean and well maintained. We had an issue with a leak in the main water hose in our RV and maintenance was very helpful in trying to get it fixed for us. He was very patient and helpful. This is a great place to use as a base camp to see Monument Valley Tribal Park and also Natural Bridges National Monument among many others. We will definitely stay here again!! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Our motorhome is 36 feet and we paid extra for a big rig site so we could hook our tow car the night before leaving. The site was very unlevel and not long enough for the tow car. We needed to unhook before pulling into the site. Unfortunately, the campground does not have a convenient area to hook and unhook tow cars. When checking in, the person at the desk rattled off all the info but was not particularly receptive to questions. The best thing about the campground was the solitude and that it was surrounded by beautiful red rocks. However, because of the inconveniences, I would not stay here again. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Monument Valley Tribal Park has good views but the road is very rough. Nice drive to Goosenecks State Park, through Mexican Hat, passes where Forrest Gump stopped running.

This is a nice park with really nice views. We had one of the large pull through sites towards the back of the park. Our site was definitely long enough for our truck and trailer but wasn't very level. We did need 3 blocks in order to get level. Everything worked well, water pressure was a little low at times, but doable. Cable had plenty of channels and we were able to get decent cell and data on Sprint. Monument valley is about 5 miles from the park. There is a grocery store and gas station about 1/2 mile and the lodge and restaurant is about 1 mile away. We would stay here again and recommend this park to others. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The views here are amazing!!!! Our site is a full hookup with fire pit and picnic table. Interior roads are asphalt with some tight turns but easily manageable. No problems with water pressure or electrical issues. Most sites have small trees to provide a little shade. Registration is fast and friendly only if you have one of the guys help you out, the girl seemed to be put off by us being there (could have just been having a bad day). The campground store didn't have much in the way of supplies except for souvenirs. Restrooms and showers were clean and spotless. There's a indoor pool for campers to use. We personally didn't use it but many of our neighbours did. We also took time to visit Monument Valley National Park. The cost was $20.00 for up to 4 people. It is a must to do while here. We opted out from paying for a tour and decided to take our truck through ourselves. It was rather rugged but a must to see. They also have gift shops, restaurant which only serve alcohol free drinks.Views there were spectacular! We've have seen a lot in our travels and this by far was a sight to see and experience. Pictures do not do it justice. We spent two days here and although it was enough time to view all we wanted to see we would definitely recommend this as a spot to stop. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is surrounded by beautiful huge red rocks. Our space was up on the third tier away from the road. All the sites I saw had shade trees. The spaces were level gravel, with adequate room to spread out. Had a nice picnic table and fire pit as well. Access roads where a bit narrow but easy to navigate. There is a nice short trail up into the rocks on the back of the campground. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

On a busy road leading to reservation housing, non-stop local traffic of rundown trucks hauling water, slowing for speed bump directly in front of campground. Make sure that you're not put on the front facing the road.

LOTS of nice sites with a view further back in the park. Unfriendly office check-in people. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Well run campground. Professionally managed by friendly people and well maintained. Roads are narrow but not difficult. We were in site C3 which was easy in easy out for our 40ft Montana and did not have to unhook. Beautiful views. We stayed one night and would come back for a longer visit. The views alone are worth the price - and the price I paid is for a premium Big Rig site. There are less expensive sites, all the way down to tent sites. The RV Park is part of the Goulding's complex along with the Lodge, museum, restaurant, grocery store, "suites" (1-2 bedroom park model houses), etc. Sites are long enough, but park staff asks that you unhook a towed vehicle prior to making the final turn into the site. No problem just getting the RV in, and then the car parks next to the RV with lots of room for Picnic table, patio, etc. Access to everything about Monument Valley is at the park office. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sign up for one of the many guided tours. Many to choose from, but I recommend the half-day tour if you have limited time. Everything you see is one breath-taking view after another! The restaurant on the property is good. Goulding's is famous because Harry Goulding convinced John Ford to make movies here. John Wayne's cabin from "Stagecoach" is part of the museum, as well as a "movie room". Every night a full-length feature of one of the John Wayne movies is shown. This place is AMAZING!

In the area, this park is the best. Full hookups, cable tv, etc. Verizon worked well both voice and data. It is small and tight but I saw many large motorhomes. The pull thrus are slanted. You might not be able to leave your tow vehicle hooked up but a great location for visiting the area. Very nice and helpful staff, a little shade and a good view even from the camp area. A great short hike to an arch that you would not find otherwise. The Gouldings museum is excellent for local info. The Gouldings channel on your tv gives you good info too. Tips for other Campers:

The View hotel/food spot is good to sit and have a small taco or stew while admiring your first glimpse of the valley. Worth a stop. The monument valley road is very very tired. Lots of pot holes so no one goes fast. A half day or whole day to see the area - not a large amount of hiking so the long 17 mile drive is worth the time. John Ford's Point is the best view in the place. Do not miss that even if u drive in to that point and do not continue.

This is a professionally run, first class rv park, definitely the best place for miles around - but pricey! As others have stated, access roads are hilly & narrow, and sites are barely big enough for larger rigs. Roads are paved but sites are gravel/red dirt. The pull through sites drop off at front and back but are level in the middle, are tiered slightly and about 15-20 feet wide. Trees and flowers are beautiful and plentiful, which was nice to see but made parking even trickier. Beautiful surroundings, quiet at night. Be prepared to track in red dirt. I would give them a perfect score if the sites were longer and if there were patios to decrease the dirty feet effect. Be sure to bring a patio rug. Several nice, short hiking trails on-site. Good store and amenities. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Check in was easy and they were able to accommodate our group of three rv's with toads. The hookups worked fine. The camp is up a hill and surrounded by rock formations and protected from the wind. The views of the valley from are fantastic. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Really neat park, tucked in the rocks at Monument Valley. Clean and new. Nice attention to detail. Lights in the evening are amber. All buildings, furniture, and utilities are painted to blend in with the surrounding rock. Wi-Fi really decent, though park wasn't full either. Park store clean and well stocked. Leveling more challenging due to terrain, but we did OK. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

I drove in here from the south rim of the Grand Canyon and was thrilled to find it in the dark. I had expected a flat dirt lot similar to a truck stop, but was shocked to find the Check-In facility open and the woman at the counter was prepared for us.

We stayed in site 32 which had a nice picnic table and grill. I didn't realize how special this was till the next morning and was in awe of it all. The views were remarkable. More than I ever dreamed of. The night we checked in, my wife and I decided to book a guided full day tour of Monument Valley. We immediately booked an additional nights stay along with our tour.

The next morning our Navajo guide picked us up at the campground office and we had the experience of a lifetime. We are so happy we made the decision to come to Gouldings, and I highly recommend it to all who want to experience the amazing Monument Valley scenery up close and personal! We loved it All! Special thanks to our tour guide! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.
