This is a very nice RV Park. It's 12 miles from Bryce Canyon and about a mile from Red Canyon. The two people that work in the office are very nice and friendly. The laundry room has only one washer and dryer. When it's busy here in the park that's a problem. I think they have the room to have more. The big problem I have is they DO NOT clean the sites after people leave. So, we have been here for 6 days and the smell of sewer is constant. The people next to us had a sewer or gray water drip and the smell and flies were constant. There are tons of flies to begin with, but that made it worse. I have to think this is a health issue. I don't know what the answer would be, but an attempt to clean would be nice. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Site somewhat hard to level. Tree blocked full deployment of slide out, which is on driver's side. Laundry has one washer and one dryer, but the room was clean and the machines worked. WiFi was not promised to be good, but at our site it was very good. The camp is conveniently close to Bryce Canyon and has good views of the mountains in the distance. Overall the camp is an adequate but minimal option. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park was a real disappointment. First the Pros: It had good cell phone reception and full hook-ups. Now the Cons: The campground is far from both Bryce and Panguitch. Unappealing grounds with no shade, no amenities other than hook-ups and we were assigned to a site that we could not reach level even using our jacks. No written materials provided upon check in. Right on the highway with lots of road noise. Less than helpful staff. There is no shuttle or any other transportation to Bryce Canyon available, so a 20 mile drive each way was required. Lots of older, full-time rigs. We decided to forfeit our one-night stay charge and moved closer to the park. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is ample RV parking across from Ruby's Inn and Campground just outside of the park. From there you can catch a free shuttle that takes you to the most popular places in Bryce Canyon. The shuttle was great.

At first I didn't think this park looked like much - pull-through RV sites with some camping cabins and a tiny office, out in the middle of nowhere. Correction - there was a little Red Canyon Village right next door, so there was access to a few groceries and supplies. But as we checked in, I discovered one of the cabins was a very clean and tidy laundry room. Only one washer and one dryer, but they were new, clean and powerful. We had full hook-ups, cable TV and WiFi and we were as happy as we could be. We would definitely return to Red Canyon Campground. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We made reservations for one night to ensure we had a place to stay. Very disappointed in our site next to the laundry building and the fact that it looked like an unkempt lawn that needed weeding and mowing. We drove down the road to the National Forest campground, which had just opened the day before, and signed up for four nights. It was worth forfeiting our payment for the one night in a shadeless parking lot. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park looks great from the road but needs some TLC. The site was level and the power was good. We were only there over night. The BBQ was interesting. It was a brake drum from a car on a pole. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice people who run the park . The park is located right on Highway 12 the gateway to Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon. Beautiful views of the red cliffs from your campsite. Smaller no frills park but we liked it. Not crazy crowded like those right at the entrance to Bryce Canyon. Site was spacious enough with full hookups. Would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

If visiting Bryce Canyon, eat dinner at Ruby's. If you are seated BEFORE 5 pm, you are charged the lunch time buffet price but will be eating the dinner selection of food since the buffet turns over their items at 5. Good selection of items to choose from including big salmon filets!! YUMMO!!

Overall Rating:

First Impression: Small, unassuming, unadorned. Safety: Coyotes in area. No night lighting. No security issues. Access: Southeast on Utah hwy 12 from US-89 towards Bryce Canyon National Park, highway in good condition, good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Very friendly manager, no store. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam discount. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room or rec center. No laundry room. Small restrooms (only 1 shower stall), dated fixtures, shower room needs a deep cleaning, mold, hot water with good pressure (score "C+"). No propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Decorative trees at rear of CG. Interior roads are wide, gravel in fair condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rigs and long coaches won't have problems. Prevosts could have maneuvering challenges. Designated tent area and cabins but no yurts. Sites are generously spaced, sufficiently level, grass/gravel, pull-through and back-in, grass between. Pedestals at rear of site with electric 20/30/50; no meters. Low water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" unthreaded, about 0-2" above ground level. Concrete patios with good picnic tables. Fires permitted in fire rings. Good satellite views. Some sites have cable TV. Free Wi-Fi with weak coverage and practically nonexistent bandwidth. Verizon phone and 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: No railroad or aircraft noise but local traffic on UT-12 is audible. Bug Report (late September): no insects noted. Runners: CG roads marginal for running. Yoga: patios are plenty big enough for your mat but you'll have to move the picnic table. Conclusion: Score 5-Acceptable. Overpriced. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

From the CG, you're about 15 miles from Bryce Canyon City which is basically one, big, tourist trap. Groceries at the Ruby Inn General Store. Ice Cream across the street is low quality and high price. Diesel at $3.099. Post Office. More campgrounds (Red Canyon CG, Ruby Inn CG, 2 campgrounds in the NP).

This RV park is right off the highway with constant road noise. The staff were very nice at check-in. Sewer way in the back of site with the water and electric and cable in normal spot together near middle. There is no specific dog area and there are a lot of goatheads in the grassy areas. We walked our dog on the gravel roadways. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Good all around smallish place easy to get into and out of. Cheap compared with others in the national park areas of Utah. Cable was a bit dodgie for us but that might have been our connection. Utilities other wise good. Nice friendly staff. Easy pull thrus with plenty of room for everything. Verizon wireless great. wifi was good except during the late afternoon and night when everyone on. Good location before you get to town closer to bryce so better for going hiking etc. The town doesn't have a lot but small grocery and gas and lots of places to eat. As others have said, the park is about 15 miles from Bryce, but only two miles to Red Canyon which offers other hiking trails with incredible views and no crowds. The staff is pleasant, and the sites acceptable with views all around. It is close to the road but noise has not been an issue. Unfortunately the laundry facility, which is outside, was not working and there is not much else around here. There is a dog area but it is right near the road and not enclosed. Fosters restaurant, on Rte 12 toward Bryce was a pleasant surprise. Good menu, very friendly service. There is a paved off the road bike path that begins two miles away near the Red Canyon Visitors center and goes all the way to Bryce. Great ride!

Staff is wonderful and fellow RV'ers are friendly. Small park. Lanes are old macadam. Access off the road was easy. There is a little traffic noise but did not hinder our sleeping with the windows open. Sites are long enough for our 43' Fifth wheel and F350 Pickup, and level. Many rigs did not even disconnect their toad. Sites are wide enough to have slides and awnings out without bothering your neighbor. Sites are gravel with some grass in between. Sites also have a concrete patio and picnic table as well as a small grill for cooking and a fire pit. Most of the sites are full sun. A couple have good size trees on each side but won't accommodate tall rigs. Really nice cabins. And great mountain views. Utilities are conveniently located and work well. WiFI is screaming fast - excellent. AT&T Cell service is okay -never more than 3 bars. Keep in mind this area is quite remote so we are pleased to have 3 bars. There is plenty of grassy area for walking your dog but not off-leash. For laundry we went into town at the public laundry which was very nice. There is a small grocery store in town. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Now owned by Forever Resorts, which also has the concession to operate the lodge at Bryce Canyon, this is a small park with limited sites. The first four or five pull-through sites have trees, however they may restrict use of slides. The lady at the office is very pleasant, efficient and informative. As others have stated, you pick your own site. The sites big enough for a big rig are at the upper part of the park, are gravel/dirt, and easily accessed. We had no trouble leveling. There is one bath house, which was clean, at the upper end of the park. There are several grass areas to walk dogs and a few tent sites. You will get a great preview of the beautiful red rock formations in Red Canyon from the RV park. It is a couple of miles from the park to the visitor center for Red Canyon, and 15 miles from Bryce Canyon. Due to the high temperature, we elected to drive through Bryce Canyon to the end (Rainbow Point) then on the return trip stopped at all of the overlooks. Awesome views and rock formations. We also took advantage of the closeness to Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument - a must visit. There is no end to the dirt/gravel roads you can drive to various view sites. We chose to drive to Devils Garden and walk among the hoodoos. They are amazing rock formations and worth the trip. Note - the road has sections that are like washboards, but passable for all but the lowest slung vehicle. We could have spent a few more days checking out this park but our schedule didn't allow. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Gravel lots - needs a little leveling of the RV. Close to the highway but you have to be real sensitive to noise for the road noise to bother you. The people are really helpful and friendly.
