Overnighter. Had a pull through with full hook ups, didn't unhook the toad. Fortunately, there were only campers in every other site, so we didn't have a problem with the hook ups being reversed. Nothing special here, but adequate for our need at the time. Verizon hotspot worked good, satellite reception was great. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The Sundance Kid was known to be a bit pickier about his accommodations than Butch Cassidy; so that may explain why the two did not partner up on the name of this RV park. It doesn't meet the Kid's standards. Traveling east or west on I-70 this is a great location to overnight. Otherwise, the park is barely average. The place could use a good sprucing up. At least half of the slots are taken by long termers and those for the short termers are cramped pull-throughs with the rigs essentially sharing one space by facing in opposite directions. It's tight, but manageable and we were able to stay hitched pulling a 30-foot travel trailer with only minor leveling required while sharing the site with a Class A that was still hitched to its TOAD. Both the roads and the sites are gravel, which is thinning in spots. The WiFi works OK but it reaches only a few of the sites closest to the office. So, if you want to use the WiFi, you'll probably have to walk several hundred yards to the office where the unlocked, open 24/7, bathrooms are also located. Hopefully the Sundance Kid will open an RV park in Salina before we come through again. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The staff is great and they do a fine job of caring for their customers and keeping the facilities clean and working. The sites are a bit close and kind of rough. WiFi was quite good for an RV park! Not much choice in the area but quiet & OK for an overnight stay. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We had break down and we were behind schedule after the repair. We noticed this little campground open just as we were about to turn onto the interstate. We were greeted warmly and welcomed and given helpful friendly service for hook up. This is quaint picturesque little campground in a nice setting. The showers were immaculate, heated and hot water was abundant. Overall we were very happy and felt it was well worth the unexpected stop. It was not perfect. If you want WIFI you must take one of the exceptionally narrow short pull throughs. We barely fit and it was the most closely packed situation we have ever stayed at. It was hard to get in and out of the site due to how narrow it was and two trees in not very good places. Also the sewer cap next door was missing and stank so after I hooked up my hose I put the sewer cap over the next door one. In the morning I took a long walk with my dogs and it is pretty neat little spot. The tent area looked very nice. The laundry was well equipped and immaculate and the pool (which was closed for the season) was a decent size. If you have your own WIFI take one of the much larger sites near the dump in back. Some interstate noise but the ridge masks it so we had no trouble sleeping. There is no cable but our TV scanned the air and picked up 22 channels so I think they are broadcasting some kind of digital signal. They have two pet goats and a bunch of exotic birds like peacocks and many chickens contentedly scratching adding to a rustic ambience. If we come this way again we'll be back for an overnight but I don't think I'd want to stay a long time. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here before and rated it higher. I guess we lucked out last time with a good site (#2.) This time we were in #8 and it was amazingly close to the next door sites. We could not put our awning out - barely had room for our slide out. Also the sewer hook-up was broken and we had to use rocks to hold our connection down onto it so the sewer smell didn't escape. The sewer connection at the site next to us (#7) was also broken to the point that it was not useable. They said that the wifi only worked at the office but it actually did work at our site pretty well. Verizon 4G was good and we got a clear shot for our Direct TV satellite. We would stay again if we had to as it is 1 of only 2 in Salina and not much else for miles. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This appears to be an overnight stop for most. We stayed for a week and quickly ran out of things to do. The park is older with all gravel roads and sites. The sites are close together but not unbearable. It is a small park with about 50 sites so call ahead or have reservations it filled up often. Park wifi did not work. Verizon cell service 3 bars. Satellite TV was easy to set up. There is a grocery, fuel and restaurants close by. Park was quiet even though not far from road. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

They do have larger pull through sites but put us in a small, tight pull through site. Check your electric here as it is questionable; one site had no ground; another had no electric at all. Septic tube was broken and they had a plastic bag on top with a rock to hold it. Our neighbor's utilities and sewer were under our awning and it smelled occasionally. Rec room closed at 7pm. Nice grassy tent area. Good water quality. Nice laundry room. Lots of roads/trails next to park to walk and let dogs loose. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Roads into and inside the park are easy to navigate. It is a mix of permanent trailers, RV and tent sites. It is very well maintained. Check in was fast and friendly. We were in a gravel pull through with full hook ups and level. No issues with the hook ups. It was plenty long enough for our 37 foot Class A, tow dolly and parking the car. and nice and wide. The WiFi only worked in the office area, our Verizon signal was okay. Lots of places to walk the dog. There is a rec room with TV, pool table and other games. We stayed Aug 4-7, 2017 and paid $38.59 a night with our Good Sam discount. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We full-time around U.S. in MH w/tow to sightsee, so we look for campgrounds with pull-thru sites satellite-friendly with 50 amp FHU. We usually stay only one or two nights. The campground was clean but not easy to navigate. Many trees but still able to use satellite. By mistake, they assigned a narrow short campsite that we couldn't fit into so had to disconnect tow and go to another site. Driving all day, so not happy to have to disconnect. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

A great campground. Easy access from I-70. Large, level, graveled pull thru with FHU and 50A service and short distances to services. Interior roads easy to navigate. Office staff very friendly and efficient. We called last minute for a one night stay and they accommodated us quickly. I certainly would stay here again when in the area. Some long term stays but many short term spaces available. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This was a nice place to stay for the night. Power was good, water pressure was good. Level gravel sites that are easy to get in and out of. Very quite except for the road noise but did not keep us up at night. Have a swimming pool and dog area that was nice and clean. Would stay again if in the area.
