Beautiful park surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Best place to stay in the area. A lot of grassy areas for the dogs. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was large, clean, and green with grass and trees. A bit out of town on the west side but since the town is tiny it really made no difference. Roads were gravel and sites were level gravel. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. The view to the north of red mesas was spectacular and changed as the sun moved.

Staff was very helpful and the store was well stocked with needed items like milk, bread, beer and some rv products. Pool was nice with large grass play area and a hour in AM and PM for adults only. Our site was right across from the tent area which was full our first night but everyone was polite and even kids were well behaved.

Interesting they had a laundry in the far east cabin area that was open 24 hours. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We did find a fantastic restaurant called La Cueva on the east side of town. It was the best Mexican food at a great price. I would visit this area again just to eat there.

This camp is set up about the best I have ever seen including our site was level. The owner can point out which sites you can get satellite from. The only negative is that Verizon cell service was horrible and that isn't the campgrounds fault. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent location near Capitol Reef National Park. The park was laid out well and very well kept. Pride of ownership was obvious by the attention to detail. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We rented a jeep from the campground office. Four wheel drive is necessary to fully explore the local area.

Second visit here. The park is spacious and the sites have good space between them. All are gravel with many pull throughs and a number of back-ins on the perimeter. There are two locations for rest rooms and showers. One is quite old and a bit rustic but well maintained and clean. They offer dinner in a cookhouse atmosphere week nights. I tried it but felt I could do better at the several other restaurants nearby. There is a large gift shop on site. The staff were very friendly. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Capital Reef National Park is ten miles away and warrants at least two days to see it. Many hiking options plus several road tours. If you have a high clearance vehicle, consider the Burr Trail to the south, or the Cathedral Valley loop road to the north. Four wheel drive not necessary, but be sure to check road conditions with a park ranger.

Beautiful surroundings! Long level sites. Great utilities. Great store with reasonable prices. Very helpful staff. Each site is raked when someone leaves. Immaculate grounds. Only 10 miles to Capitol Reef. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is not very large. It is well maintained. Roads are dirt/gravel as are the sites. Mixture of pull thru's and back-ins. Hard to determine how long the pull thru sites are as there are no lines or markers indicating where the site starts and ends. Space was long enough for our 40 foot fifth wheel and our truck parked sideways behind. Spacing between sites is a little close and there is a large tree between each site (trimmed so not an issue). Our site had grass between the next one, but with everything being dirt/gravel the park is very dusty with the wind blowing and cars driving by. If you want to use your satellite you need to let them know as the trees can impact use of a dish. They knew exactly what sites were satellite friendly. Wi-Fi is free but was extremely slow or not working during our stay. Verizon service was almost non-existent. The park is about 10 miles from the Capitol Reef Visitor Center. Friendly staff, good value, friendly staff. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a great space in this park...view of the red rocks. The park was clean, neat and quiet. The grounds were beautiful. The staff couldn't have been nicer and check in was a breeze. They had a great camp store/gift shop. One of the best I've seen. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much shopping in Torrey. Small town. Had a small gift shop next to the Post Office.

A very pleasant, well run, clean and quiet park. There's something for everyone here - tent sites, cabins, pull throughs for big rigs, back-in sites for smaller ones. There's a heated pool (82 deg.) and a grassy children's play area. We stayed in a back-in site at the rear of the park with great views of the red cliffs. Our site had just electricity and water but there is a dump station for campers to use if they need it. The office and store are very attractive. The staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and conscientious. Wish every park was this well run. Only negative that I can think of is that the restrooms/showers are a little small and dated, but they were clean and adequate. We would definitely use this park again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice, well-maintained park. Roomy, level, gravel sites with shade trees & some grass in between. Quiet location on the outskirts of town, with great views of huge red cliffs from the rear of the park. TV reception, working WiFi, and plenty of room to walk my dogs; plus a great Gift Shop! We would stay here again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good views, wide gravel spaces with grass and a table. Swimming pool, but showers and rest rooms were very small/tight and not finished very well and not enough to support the entire park. Staff is helpful and friendly. They rake out each site after final departure - grounds were well kept. WiFi is not reliable and/or slow - we were told this when we checked in. Good Sam Park. $32 includes the Utah State Tax. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our stay here. The park is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The views from there are breathtaking, and Capitol Reef NP is only 20 mins. away. Verizon service is poor.....only 1x. The park offers WiFi, which works best from the pavilion near the office, and especially at night, when less people are using it. Make sure you try a burger from Slacker's Burger Joint down the road. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean, quiet park. Very friendly, helpful staff. Bathrooms are a bit small, but kept very clean. We stayed three nights while hiking in the nearby Capitol Reef NP and would stay here again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Clean park with grass and gravel sites with shade trees. Nice views. Great store with lots of goodies. We bought some peach jam made by the owner's mother that is delicious. Very friendly. Huge grassy area that my dogs enjoyed (although it's not an off leash area). Clean laundry. I would stay here again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Big trees, good views at the back of the park. Great gift shop and T-shirts and souvenirs were cheaper than at Capitol Reef National Park. Sites were large with picnic tables and fire pits and a small patch of grass. We stayed here 2 nights and would stay again. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.
