I don't usually do reviews but felt compelled on this because it is one of best RV parks we have stayed in over 10 years of RVing. Each site has manicured grass lawns, a rarity at most RV parks, but even more so here in the desert. Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained. There is a neat little area next to the office with booths and tables like a little café where they have coffee, ice cream, a microwave and toaster oven to heat/cook snacks and a laptop for you to use for Internet access. Just across the street is a gas station, subway sandwich shop, and a bakery that makes fresh pies, candies and sandwiches. Even closer is a visitor center with lots of info about local and state attractions. The owner manages the park and is nicest, kindest park manager we have encountered. I had to have my transmission replaced, so a 1 day stay turned into 10 days and he provided us transportation so we were not stranded. Something we did not expect and it was offered without request. Everything that is right with America, you'll find at Wonderland RV park. I just wished it was closer to home so we could use it more often. If you are going to Capital Reef Nat'l Park, do yourself a big, big favor and stay in Wonderland. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner very helpful and knowledgeable about area, scenic drives, restaurants. Even cut us limbs to make hiking sticks. Overall park was very nice, lots of grassy area. Our site (#1) was very narrow, but other sites were more spacious. Would stay here again. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great location to visit Capitol Reef NP and do scenic drive on Hwy 12.

Small park but well maintained. Trees for shade, FHU's, close to Capitol Reef NP. Not much civilization for a town, groceries at a small mom&pop store (aka: expensive). September is their busy time in these parts, reservations recommended. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Stock up on food & libations well before you get near to southern Utah. Real grocery stores are scarce, mom&pops are out of this world expensive & limited.

I think this is the closest RV park to Capitol Reef National Park. The owner appears to keep his property very clean and in good condition, and he's a super nice guy. Our spot was long enough for our 31' MH and tow car. Everything worked well, full hook ups and WiFi. He has cable which is a little weak but we found out just before leaving that over the air stations are available. There was some shade and the grassy areas are green and well maintained. What's not to like? The driveways are dirt/gravel and while the owner can't play traffic cop all the time, we found more than the usual number of vehicles racing around the park kicking up a substantial amount of dust. Why can't RV drivers abide by the 5 mph speed? We would return here. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

The only concern is the laundry, but the owner can't control the users that show-up at the same time. 4 washers-4 dryers Cleanest RR we have found on this trip. All the people waiting got to be friends with good conversation. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Capitol Reef NP is close and the reason we were there.

Loved this family-run park! Sites were almost flat with gravel. There were plenty of trees, some which caused challenges for slides. However, the owner came out and trimmed trees for folks in our group. There isn't an enclosed dog run but there is plenty of grassy space for walking. Wifi is iffy. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. It was a welcome sight to see lush green grass in this environment! The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The amenities all worked perfect. We would have stayed longer had we not already had our next stop booked. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Located right outside the gates to Capital Reef National Park.

Very clean, well maintained family run park. The Verizon service was intermittent, with 3G and sometime Extended network signal on Verizon. The site was a little uneven but I leveled without the wheels coming off the ground. The sites are a little narrow for a motorhome with slides on both sides. Interior roads are roomy and easy to negotiate. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

The manager and is very helpful. He made sure he got all our questions answered. He even called the ranger to ask about condition of a trail we wanted to do. Our site was level, had grass, and great views of Black Mt. There are big grassy areas to walk your pets.

There are trees but they did not block out satellite reception. Our pull through site had room for our 40 ft RV and Toad with lots more space and plenty of space for slides. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drove Burr trail through Escalante canyon then turn around and go back out. Easy drive for any vehicle and breath taking views. All the restaurants are good

We were planning to stay at the Fruita Campground in Capital Reef. But a contractor had all of the larger campground blocked off for repaving (that was supposed to be completed a month earlier). So we had to go to Torrey and, fortunately, Wonderland had a few spaces left. Our site backed up to Hwy. 24 and was pretty noisy in the early morning due to significant truck and motorcycle traffic. But the park is very well-maintained and the site was long enough for our truck and 5th wheel. We would stay here again--if we couldn't get into Fruita! We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderland is graded down for the following reasons. Gravel drive, poor Wi-Fi, poor Verizon reception, posts near drives which are a hazard, apple trees too close (could not put out slides), no stocked camp store. Would be OK as a stop over but very disappointing if you had a long stay. It is amazing how campgrounds advertise big rigs and then plant trees so close that you can barely squeeze in and forget about putting out a awning. Satellite was good as was off the air reception. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is clean and well maintained. Rate is GS. If you stay 6 days 7th is free. Coming north on Rt.12 GPS location was 6 miles too soon. Park is on the corner of 12 & 24. Noisy during day but quiets down at night. Cable is basic and WIFI works sporadically during the day and not at all after 3 p.m. Plenty of restaurants and fuel but grocery is in Loa, 18 miles west on 24. Good spot to see Capital Reef or a stop over. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our gravel back-in site was mildly unlevel side-to-side and front-to-back but was wide and long enough to park our car and tow dolly in front of our 40 foot motor home. Campground is clean and well-maintained with grass between the sites. Noise level was high however, since we were right next to Rte 24 and a gas station across the street. No 3G/4G service in the area but basic cell service was okay. Wifi was slow when it was working and frequently down. Cable TV was mostly local channels. Plenty of trees but none blocked our satellite antenna. Convenient to Capital Reef which is why we stayed here. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sam Weekly rate, otherwise $32 inc. tax. Easy in and out with good location for Capitol Reef. Drive to Loa, UT for good groceries but fuel is readily available although pricey. Good laundry, pleasant host/manager and nicely kept grounds. Cable is useless, only analog channels with nothing but local stations and a few CNN types thrown in, I went with my antenna for HD with good reception. Level sites and good hookups. Nothing really 'special' but a good home base if you're going to the National Park or traveling along Hwy. 12. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice small park near Capitol Reef National Park. Spaces are roomy, staff is helpful and friendly. Gravel sites are reasonably level. No fire rings at sites. Bathrooms and showers are modern and spotless, but they are limited in number. Cable TV is okay, but not digital. Wi-Fi is one of the best I've used in an RV park. This park is located in a very rural and isolated area. Make sure you bring enough supplies for your visit as there are very limited shopping opportunities nearby, but if you time your visit right you can pick apples from the many fruit trees in the park. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
