Tips for other Campers:

Capital Reef National Park is a diamond in the rough. It has incredible views and awesome hiking trails. Across the street from the park is a bakery that has fabulous cinnamon rolls and hand dipped ice cream. Wifi is available at the park, the motel across highway 24, and the visitor center across highway 12

This is the best place we have stayed so far. The view from our MH was mountains and pasture. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The site was well maintained and required very little leveling. Hookups were in good shape and convenient. They were doing things daily to make sure guests were happy and the facility maintained. Highly recommend! We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Capitol Reef Park is a must. Scenic drives, hikes and places to relax. The Nottom/Burr Trail is amazing! It takes you from Capitol Reef to the backcountry of Escalante. Visit the Wayne County Visitor Center just across Highway 12 for maps and local information. Also try Torita's for the best Mexican food! It is a food truck across Highway 24. Family owned and operated, inexpensive for the amount of food you get, and delicious!

Very clean, well kept family owned campground. We had a great site with trees and view of the cattle and horse pasture next to RV park. Closest private RV Park to Capital Reef. Full hookups and cable. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Capital Reef was amazing! The scenic drive is great. If hiking the Capital Gorge trail be aware that there is a 2.5 mile narrow washboard dirt road to the trail head. After driving the dusty bumpy road it was an incredible, easy 2 mile hike through the canyon and the dry wash. Afterwards, the homemade pies and ice cream at the Gifford House Museum was well worth the stop. The gooseneck trail is only 600 ft up and the view is wonderful.

We really liked this little park. As you drive in you get a sense of tidiness. The interior roads are wide and the sites are angled for good maneuvering. Nice grass between sites. Utilities worked well. Wifi worked well for us (we have a booster). Verizon signal (extended network) was strong. Bathrooms were clean, did not use the showers, laundry was closed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are trees between sites that could block an on-roof satellite dish. We got setup and then had to undo to pull forward a ways so our dish had line of site.

Very good information center across the street.

Hickman Bridge Trail hike is great.

This park is closest to the west entrance to Capitol Reef National Park. The owner is friendly and accommodating. He keeps the park spotlessly clean and expects his guests to do likewise. There are cabins for rent, a dog play area, tenting areas, dish washing station, laundry and very clean restrooms. The cable and Wi-Fi worked well. Site was level and water pressure was good. It was just tight enough with the tree at our site to prevent the awning from opening. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Closest grocer is in Loa, 19 miles away. A small coffee and candy shop is across the highway from the RV park, along with fuel and a visitor center.

They have rules on rules ... for example you can't leave your dog or cat unattended in RV - and of course, the National Park doesn't want your pet either! The park is clean, grass between RV's is a welcome site. They have a large area for pets; however, it is not fenced in. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a clean little park. We were backed up against HWY 24, but it really quiets down at night. All the sites have a grassy area with a picnic table. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There's a tiny strip mall across hwy 24 with a subway, a gift shop, ice cream shop and a cafe across hwy 12. All are within walking distance. This park is an easy drive to Canyonlands.

Beautiful RV Park in a beautiful setting. Apples abound, located even on campsites. Cows grazing in pasture adjacent to the park. Located convenient to Capital Reef National Park. Only issue we noted was gravel sites which were not quite level. Good value. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

I agree with other positive reviews. This is a very clean campground with nice landscaping. It was full mid-September, and we just barely got reservations a week in advance. They put our 34-ft Class A in a great back-in at the far end of the park, with grass on both sides and trees for shade. Although there is no fenced pet area, there was a large grassy field next to a farm where horses would come looking for a treat. We left our small dog in the RV while exploring Capitol Reef. It never occurred to us not to (if there was such a rule, we didn't know about it). There are only two negatives, neither serious. First the wifi was OK, but the Verizon 4G was much better. Second, there is no view of the stunning red cliffs on the north side of Torrey, which light up at sunset. There was a good view of the mountains to the south. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have a big rig with a tow that makes us about 65 ft long, and the only reason I didn't give this place a 10 was because the driveway is extremely steep and the first turn narrow. Yes, you have U-24 behind you, but the road noise is light compared to MANY rv parks. The Wifi is spotty...had great service the first night, but as more guests arrived it all but disappeared. Its proximity to Capitol Reef is great. Our dogs loved the open green spaces. While not the biggest we would definitely recommend this Park. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly owners who are meticulous about maintaining the park. It's really quiet. By late afternoon, into the evening, there is practically no traffic on these highways. We originally booked 2 nights but ended up staying 4. Would like to have stayed longer. This park is calm and relaxing and is in a beautiful area. My only complaint is that the wifi was spotty. This is the kind of park that we will go out of our way to come back to. You won't be disappointed. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

So aptly named - a wonderful campground. Beautifully manicured with long, relatively level sites, trees and grass. The laundry is immaculate and inexpensive. Right at junction of Highway 12 and Rt 24. Minutes from Capitol Reef National Park.
