Mixed reviews here. We had selected site 57 online. Mistake! Might have well parked on I-15 as far as noise is concerned. Later moved to a location further back which was a big improvement. Sites are a good size with fire rings, picnic table. and covered patio but the grounds were not well maintained. No 50 amp service. Bathrooms were unattractive and not particularly clean. Showers were suitable for solitary confinement prisoners in a very old prison. Interior roads were good and no problem to navigate. Host was very helpful in arranging a new site needed due to an RV maintenance problem. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this as a base because we like state parks. The road noise is very loud. We loved the covered picnic tables at each campsite. We have Verizon and had no problem with service. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Travel Trailer.

If it's the right season there are fruit stands and farms across the freeway. We got some delicious peaches and fresh corn.

Well located for overnight or longer. Boat facilities nearby. We are partial to state parks and found this to be better than many as sites are spacious and have decent separation from your neighbor. Has both pull thru and back in. Nature trail leads to beach with picnic kiosks and more. Easy on and off I-15. We'd stay again. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I like the park itself. It is fairly quiet. Camp sites are of good size. LOVED the walking trail to the reservoir. We didn't use the restrooms or the showers, but did look in on them and chose to bathe in our RV. They smelled really bad and didn't look clean enough to use. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Just a nice getaway to unplug. Wifi is shotty at best, but for me camping is a way to get away from it all!

We only did one night as we were headed north on Interstate 15. Access is excellent from the freeway. Spaces are level with good access to power, water and sewer. We used 30 amp so not sure if 50 is available, but check their website. The camp host has been there in summer for a few years was very accommodating and friendly. Ask him about the landscaping and fruit trees his wife has put in on their host site. Freeway noise is present but if windows can be closed in your RV it is not a problem. April bugs were out so we did not sit out in the evening and kept the screen door closed. Our rig was a 32 foot Airstream so plenty of room/access here. We are not boaters but would use this as a stopover place. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We were not there to recreate but I did see boaters with their RVs there. There is across the freeway and very close a very spacious Pilot/Flying J for big RV rigs and dump station and propane. If you have time and are heading to points south I highly suggest highways I-84, to Heber City (near Park City) and highways 40/189 to Duchesne and then 191 to Price. You can thus avoid the intense traffic of Interstate 15 between Ogden and Provo and see some very scenic area.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We actually extended it after getting here. Close to the water, large wooded sites, and convenient location make this a good spot. Proximity to the interstate is unfortunate but it wasn't so bad that it disturbed our sleep. Advertised Wi-Fi is worthless. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Good overnight stay with easy freeway access. Yes there is some road noise. Have easy circle in pull thrus as well as angular back is. Site was level. Unusual to find a state park with 50 amp and sewer at each site. Restroom was plain but clean. Park could use some grass and brush trimming. Good for an overnight when traveling thru. Somewhat pricey for a state park when you include the $8 online reservation fee. Would stay again if passing thru the area. We camped in a 39 ft motor home with a tow. Price includes $10 reservation fee. Bathrooms were clean but very old making their appearance dingy. Roads are paved, no problem with tree branches. Sites are paved and level. Good space between sites. Cement patio with table, grill and shelter at each site. 3 bars with Verizon. DirecTV satellite was good in site 73. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a state run campground, but is very nice. Spacious, level sites with sewer, electric (30 amp max). and water. There is campground Wi-Fi, but it is very poor and not reliable. Good cell phone reception, but too close to the freeway. You'll hear the traffic noise, but it's not bad. In the fall the nearby town of Perry has some of the best peaches in the world. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

The park rules are sometime enforced, depending on who you talk to. The Park Ranger we dealt with was very unprofessional and rude. After traveling from Cheyenne WY, we arrived approximately 1 hour early from the official check-in time. The person at the toll booth checked us in, but advised we may have to hang around the park awhile, if our reserved campsite was occupied. It was empty, so we pulled in and begin sitting up. A Park Ranger arrived and told me we would have to leave as it was before the check-in time of 3 PM. To make a long story short, we stayed, but this ranger was confused as to the facts surrounding our checking in early. The park is generally poorly maintained, the bathrooms are not properly cleaned, and in general, the park staff could use some Customer Service # 101. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The only drawback here is 30 amp service. The sites are large, level & our site (#73) even allowed for satellite service. It would help big rigs if they would trim the trees along the roads but it is passable. You get water & sewer which is unusual for a state park. Scenery is beautiful and quiet and beach is nearby. Check in time is 3:00 but we found no problem with checking in at noon. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground with paved, level sites, and plenty of access for big rigs. All sites have a picnic table under a roof cover, fire pit, and BBQ grill. The site was clean except for some left over garbage scraps from the previous camper. A new nature trail is being built and there is ongoing remediation from an earlier gas spill which damaged various park areas. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. They stick to this unless you want to pay an additional day use fee. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice state park close to the water. Highway is close, but with the windows closed the noise is not too noticeable. Being mid week and cool weather, the campground was not busy and consequently quiet. Again, given the temp and the inability to utilize the lake, it would be nice if the price was a little lower. Otherwise, nice spot just north of SLC. We stayed here on site 39 (a pull thru). Electricity and water pressure were good. Sites are crushed gravel and our site was level. We could get a satellite signal and 4G Verizon MIFI and a good Verizon cell signal. You can hear I-25 freeway traffic and an occasional train whistle. We did not use the restrooms or showers. We would stay here again if passing thru this area. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

A well kept and peaceful state park. Full hookups with 50 amp power. In October during our visit only about 6 other campers in the park. The lake is apparently low much of the time so the boat launches are at your risk. Close to freeway, you'll hear the noise when you're outside. Picnic table and cover at most sites.
