The fall foliage was stunning. VERY close to a busy freeway, so noise is a factor. Also close to a train track/crossing, although I only heard two go by, one at 8:30pm and the other at around 8:30am. Signage at the unmanned check-in kiosk was confusing, stating rates for the high season but nothing for off season. I Googled the park and determined the rate is the same year round. Interior roads were somewhat confusing, but wide enough to navigate. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Flying J gas is available at the same exit as the park, so very convenient to fuel up without having to do another off-on for the freeway.

Okay for an overnight stay but nothing special. Camp host was very friendly. Lake available for people who wanted to fish but the dumpsters were so smelly near the lake that it wasn't pleasant to be nearby. Did have a short walking trail. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

OTA channels good. Costco, Walmart, very nice shopping center 20+ miles away. This is a good stop over if you have to stock up on supplies, etc.

Could be a nice location but too close to the freeway, substantial noise! We spent only one quick night with air conditioning running, and for that it was adequate. I would consider this place again for an en route stop, but would never choose this as a "destination park" - it would not be enjoyable outside due to the constant noise. Note that many of the pull thru's require that you go the "wrong way" down the loop so be aware as . Note also that it is 30 amp service, so with temps in the 90's, ran the generator until sundown so we could run both AC's. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here for three nights on lot #69, 6/05/17 thru 6/08/17, would have stay longer, but site was reserved. Verizon cell was full five bars, air card was same. Site was a pull thru with 30 amps., water, and sewer. We were in a 35' Motor home had no problem keeping cool. Noise was no more than any CG close to a Hwy. We camp here about every three years. This is a great location to Ogden where you can stock up on groceries and get whatever you need. Also the Flying J right at the entrance to the park is good for getting gas and filling up propane. The sites are fairly large, level and private and the beach is beautiful and clean. The downsides are the staff doesn't maintain the grounds. Overgrown weeds etc. lead to a bit of a junky feeling around camp. Also there is no rule enforcement. I saw a park ranger drive by 1 time in a week. Road noise was really bad so don't plan on quiet here but inside the RV it was not noticeable. I've read some reviews talking about bug problems but I did not experience that. Having 50 amp full hookups at $30 is great for a state park. Connectivity was excellent. Verizon 5 Mbps+ download, AT&T 30 Mbps+ download, T-Mobile (can't remember the speed but fast enough to stream) - All unboosted. TONS of OTA channels. I would stay here again if I had a need to stay around Ogden. Site accessibility (good roads, easy to navigate, level site) - 4 Campground location (Easy off the hwy, but road noise was bad) - 2 Nearby amenities (Everything 15 min away) - 4 Site Privacy (large sites, good privacy) - 4 Campground amenities (50 amp FHU, no cable) - 4 Dog friendly (Dogs allowed everywhere but not a lot of walking trails) - 3 Activities (Awesome beach, short walking trail) - 3 Cost ($30/night for FHU, no cable) - 4 Staff (Friendly but limited site maintenance and no rule enforcement) - 2 Connectivity (Decent Verizon, excellent AT&T, T-Mobile good, tons of OTA channels) - 4 Total rating = 3.4. Tips for other Campers:

Bonus shout out to Sierra RV, which is about 10 miles away. I had an issue with my RV door handle. The spring popped out. I took it there, they fixed it for me, no charge. Very nice RV shop there, and HUGE, clean, new with tons of bays. If you need anything done, give them a chance.

I like the park itself. It is fairly quiet. Camp sites are of good size. LOVED the walking trail to the reservoir. We didn't use the restrooms or the showers, but did look in on them and chose to bathe in our RV. They smelled really bad and didn't look clean enough to use. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Just a nice getaway to unplug. Wifi is shotty at best, but for me camping is a way to get away from it all!

We camped in a 39 ft motor home with a tow. Price includes $10 reservation fee. Bathrooms were clean but very old making their appearance dingy. Roads are paved, no problem with tree branches. Sites are paved and level. Good space between sites. Cement patio with table, grill and shelter at each site. 3 bars with Verizon. DirecTV satellite was good in site 73. This is a state run campground, but is very nice. Spacious, level sites with sewer, electric (30 amp max). and water. There is campground Wi-Fi, but it is very poor and not reliable. Good cell phone reception, but too close to the freeway. You'll hear the traffic noise, but it's not bad. In the fall the nearby town of Perry has some of the best peaches in the world. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

The only drawback here is 30 amp service. The sites are large, level & our site (#73) even allowed for satellite service. It would help big rigs if they would trim the trees along the roads but it is passable. You get water & sewer which is unusual for a state park. Scenery is beautiful and quiet and beach is nearby. Check in time is 3:00 but we found no problem with checking in at noon. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground with paved, level sites, and plenty of access for big rigs. All sites have a picnic table under a roof cover, fire pit, and BBQ grill. The site was clean except for some left over garbage scraps from the previous camper. A new nature trail is being built and there is ongoing remediation from an earlier gas spill which damaged various park areas. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. They stick to this unless you want to pay an additional day use fee. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on site 39 (a pull thru). Electricity and water pressure were good. Sites are crushed gravel and our site was level. We could get a satellite signal and 4G Verizon MIFI and a good Verizon cell signal. You can hear I-25 freeway traffic and an occasional train whistle. We did not use the restrooms or showers. We would stay here again if passing thru this area. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

A well kept and peaceful state park. Full hookups with 50 amp power. In October during our visit only about 6 other campers in the park. The lake is apparently low much of the time so the boat launches are at your risk. Close to freeway, you'll hear the noise when you're outside. Picnic table and cover at most sites. Stayed for 7 nights. No one at entrance gate. You have to see the camp host for help. All roads and sites are paved. Spacious sites with shade at some. Hook ups convenient and in good order. Sewer is a bit of a stretch. Don't know if internet available, but my Verizon network worked well. Quiet except interstate noise is an issue. We were here when the mosquitoes and flies were at there peak. Needed lots of repellent and even that wasn't enough at times. Fire rings and covered picnic table on concrete at each site. Location convenient to gas and highway to near by Brigham City. Would stay again. Good value. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Paved roads and level sites. Many are circular pull throughs. Several sites are open for satellite. The WiFi didn't work the two days we were there. We would stay here again. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.
