This campground is in the country where it is quiet and peaceful....our site was very shady, level and had privacy from the next site....electric and water were good, no sewers but easy to get to dump station....the owners are very friendly and helpful...we had no ATT cell service but had decent WiFi....got a few over the air tv channels....beautiful location for visiting the surrounding area, a lot of shopping and good places to eat...shower and restrooms are in the main building, they are small but manageable....they have sites that are open next to a lake but we choose the woods....we would stay here again.... We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

This is a gem in the rough. The owner obviously puts a lot of time keeping up the appearance of this very nice place to spend a day or a weekend. Cash or check only. The sites are grouped around a few ponds and adjacent meadow. Most have a clear view of the sky. Some are suitable for any size RV, others are intended for tents. No sewer connections however the dump station was located in an open area near the exit.

The property could easily accommodate more sites, but they have kept it to a manageable number. We look forward to coming back another time. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

Spent one night on our way home. Small family owned campground with a bit of an odd layout. Nice owner that cares about his property. Call for reservation and he will give you directions and not have you rely on GPS. Interior roads good. Site was level. No shade at our site but others are in wooded area. No septic but dump station available. No problems with water or electric. Restrooms very clean but odd shower set up. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

This park is next to ski area. It is picturesque and such an inviting scene to awaken to. The owners are superb at giving directions, providing assistance and keeping the grounds well manicured. Pull thrus and back in sites available, Water & electric gravel, level sites. Shaded and unshaded sites. WiFi signal was strong. When reserving, ask for directions. This is a really nice little park. It's a few miles outside of Bennington and it's best to enter through the ski area that's beside the campground. Sites are scattered about and there's a bit of distance between you and your neighbor. Nice babbling brooks was right outside our front door and there are several ponds and walking trails. The owner is super nice and lives onsite. He was very helpful. No sewer sites that I am aware of but there is an easy to access dump station. We really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet, well groomed campground with personalized service from your hosts. Two lakes on property with no charge use of canoes/ row boats. Short hikes right out the door. Strong electricity and water. Limited over the air TV, good cell phone coverage. Our spot #1 allowed rooftop SAT TV along with a view of the small lake out our windshield. No credit cards. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

We camped here in a 36' 5th wheel w/3 slides and a F-350 DRW truck. Credit cards are not accepted; we mailed a check when we made our reservation. This campground is a real gem for location and scenery - surrounded by woods; we were here in early Oct. so the leaves were at their peak; there are hiking trails close by. There are plenty of grassy areas around the campground. Our site (#40-E) was a wide, gravel back-in with water and 50 amp electric and a large grassy area outside. There was good reception on our roof-mounted DirecTV satellite; over-the-air antenna worked well. Verizon cell phone worked well but we had no Verizon WiFi and were not able to connect to campground WiFi. A lot of the sites are heavily wooded so specify if you want an open site. There are no laundry facilities but there is a nice laundromat in Bennington, about 9 miles away. There are no sewer connections in the campground; there is a dump station and you can borrow a portable tank if you need to dump tanks during your stay. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park. Wonderful couple who own the campground and their adult son who maintains the facility. Two gorgeous ponds, hiking trails, and really nice isolated campsites for tents and small trailers. Our 40foot fifth wheel fit nicely into a pull-thru. 30 and 50 amp service with water and Wi-Fi. We stayed 7 days. There was no sewer at the site, but a easy-to-get-to dump station on the way out. Far enough away from the highway, so the nights were quiet. Hardly any lights for miles around made watching the nite-time stars amazing. We were here just as the trees were changing colours; it was fantastic. One word of caution, GPS will try to have you enter on a back road; don't use it if you have a big rig. Instead go back about 1/4 mile towards Bennington and there is a large parking lot for the Ski Access to Prospect Skiing. Enter thru that parking lot and follow the signs to the left for the campground. Highly recommend this place. Close to Bennington and other interesting things to visit and see. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bennington is 7 miles away and has every kind of store you could possibly want. It is a nice town to 'stroll' the main street. There are several Diners around and they are very good. Sonny's Blue Benn Diner is awesome and the Village Chocolate Shoppe on Main street is a great place to check out. Also Henry's Meat Market and Bakkerij Krijnen (Dutch Bakery) are on Main Street. Across the street from the campground is a Gulf Gas Station with gasoline and diesel and items tailored for campers.

Gorgeous campground with trails and two ponds next door to a ski hill. We were in a 40' pusher and it was a bit tight. Trailers or smaller rigs have some choice locations to spend the time here. No dump at sites but they have a main dump site next to the lodge. Comfortable lodge with game/TV room, laundry and reading. Grounds are well kept and the mgt was extremely helpful and friendly. One note, it is just off a long steep grade coming from the west and the trucks tend to rattle the jakes on the downhill slide. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

This a first class operation. Everything is clean and fully functional. They were upgrading the wifi system and replacing the antenna. Good hiking paths are near the park. Sites have gravel, some are shaded and others are open to the sun. Satellite dishes work well where there is no shade trees. No sewage hook-ups at the sites but dump station is near by. AT&T was not available until closer to town. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

What a delightful park. This is the kind of park you grew up in when you were tent camping but now you can enjoy it in an RV. enter through a ski parking lot that opens into a beautiful property. We were there for fall colors and the color in the campground were wonderful. Beautiful walks around pretty ponds. Host was great and welcoming. No sewer but easy access to dump station great wifi. This will be our 3rd year at this campground. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most incredibly wonderful place you could ever want to camp! It's a utopia among campgrounds and lodges. I feel more at home here than I do with most family members! The campsites are all lovely. The bathrooms & showers are in the lodge - immaculate and with all the warmth & charm of a high-priced B&B. If you're staying in the Lodge, you may use the bright, open, newly re-modeled kitchen; fully stocked with every pan, pot, & utensil, plus comfortable seating for a group. There's firewood available there and a terrific general store right across the street with everything you need, including bakery goodies. You can hike up the mountain without having to drive. Our 2 dogs love walking all around the park & the lake. You can also take one of their free canoes, (complete with nice life jackets and paddles) on their lake. If you want to go to the outlet shops, fantastic restaurants, horseback riding, apple picking, or find some intensive hiking, it's all only a short drive away. We love that we can be snug in our camper and friends can come & stay in the lodge = the best of both worlds! I'm sure I'm forgetting a million other things that make this place so great, but I'm running out of space, so just know this: there's no place as great as this place! We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

This park has it all (except full hookups) as others have stated. Entry is across from General Store at Prospect Ski Area. Upon arrival, we drove the gravel road to registration area, parked and entered Lodge to register. We were greeted at top of stairs warmly. We were given choice of sites and found they were big rig friendly, good size (scattered), strong utilities, clean, quiet and dark. There are hiking trails, ponds with free canoes/boats, strong WiFi, 1G vs 4G Verizon, lounge at Lodge, new septic system (dumpstation) and knowledgeable hosts. A very pleasant rv experience. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

The previous reviews are accurate and echo how great we think this park is. The entrance has you wondering just what you have gotten yourself into, but our 40' coach had no problems getting onto the property or into our spot. The surroundings are beautiful, it's quiet, our spot was level and the owners and staff have been great. The Wi-Fi was upgraded about 4 days before we got here and it has been terrific - the best we have had in weeks. If it had sewer it would be a 10 all the way around but the dump station is easy to access on your way out so it's not a big deal. There are not a lot of amenities, but that is fine for us, but families with kids might find it lacking. Bennington is about 10 minutes down the mountain for supplies and dining. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bennington has a Home Depot, Walmart and Chili's along with local shopping and dining. There is also a museum in town and covered bridges close by if that is of interest. Also, going up inside the Bennington Battle Monument is worth the trip to view the area if it is open and the weather is good.
