We stayed at the Green Mountain Family Campground for one month and we could not have chosen a better place as our base camp for exploring Vermont. All the sites are spacious, the campground is clean, friendly and well maintained. The hosts go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great experience. We have been traveling from Texas for over 3 months and this is by far the best campground we stayed in. Looking forward to our return trip to the area and staying again - highly recommend! We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A small and simple campground! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner and he checked us in. He also gave us a guide to our site where he provided a 50 to 30 amp adapter for our site. The hook-ups were easily accessible on the site. The water pressure was good and so was the power. Wifi really worked well on our site. There is a small pool that did the trick after we set up. Although we did not use the facilities we did take notice on there cleanliness. We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park is now under new ownership, so I don't think the previous negative review is not applicable any more. We came here into a full service site while we searched the area for a summer cabin. We have been here for over 2 months now on a very reasonable monthly rate of $600.00. The wifi is the best we have had in over 12 years of RVing. The new owner, works night and day trying to upgrade the park and is very responsive to our needs. There is occasionally a problem with old wiring to some sites, but he is diligent at getting the repair made ASAP. We would definitely stay here again. The grounds are lovely and the sites are well spaced. It is a rural location and we enjoy taking walks around the the park. We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Even though the park is on the edge of protected land, it is close to Bristol, a lovely little town with country charm. It has nice little shops, good places to eat and also has a great laundromat! It also has banks, post office, a good grocery store and even a good medical clinic.

We came in April and are staying the summer with them, the campground is under new management who have done a wondering job cleaning up the grounds and bath house. They are great people and are doing a great job, putting in flower beds always doing something to made this a great campground. My husband and I are retired and go south for the winter We are staying here in our home town and gave the campground a try. In the past the campground had a bad name but not as of Jan,1 st 2017 Please come and visit with them and meet the 2 goats and the 2 baby ( kids ) hope to see you. We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Published on-line rates are $30 less a 10% discount if senior, police/fire. And a one night reservation fee. He charged us $80 upfront for two nights and it should have been $54 for the two nights we were there. Upon arrival the sites were sideways up a mountain side and very un level. Then the electric service was 108 volts with a ground fault issue. Told us he would fix the over billing issue but did not. Would not return our multiple phone calls to the CG or his cell phone. Had to leave and find another CG so we did not damage our electronics or appliances...

Told us to dump our grey water on the ground. Saw others (long term campers) with sewer hoses running out into the woods....can only guess what they were dumping....... We camped at Green Mountain Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
