17 RV Parks near Fair Haven, Vermont
Oct 2014 - $22.00
This is a Vermont State Park with no hookups but a dump station. We had a nice, clean, and quite large site right on the water which offered privacy and scenic viewing. The restroom for our particular loop was immaculate. Surprised there was only one shower. Would not want to be there in high season! The rangers were friendly and helpful. The park was very quiet at night. We heard owls and saw eagles flying over the pond. For a day trip, we put our tow vehicle on the ferry, about an hour away, and did the 7 minute crossing to Fort Ticonderoga. Lake George is about 2 hours away. There isn't a lot to do here if you're not into fishing, hiking or just relaxing, but the local scenery is superb in the autumn. There are beautiful lakes and farmlands surrounding the campground. Lots of farm stands selling fresh, local produce. Very happy we stayed here and would return. - Buckie
Aug 2008 - $23.00
My family and I camp here every year. This is a nice quiet clean campground. The staff here run this campground excellent. I have not been to any place yet that matches this campground. If you want a nice quiet, clean get away camp here. - bigjimbo78
Jun 2008 - $18.00
This is a lovely Vermont State Park where you can camp next to the lake. Fishing is excellent with hiking trails abundant. Vermont is into "Old Fashioned" camping sites so no hook-ups which was OK with us since we have solar and a generator as part of our 27 foot motorhome. There are several lakes nearby and biking on the backroads. We have extended for a full week. If one can do without hookups, this is a great find. They do have a dump station and a water source for RVs. Roads are a bit narrow so I'd not recommend any rigs over 30 feet long. The staff is very friendly. - David R
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Awesome campground. Indoor mini-golf, huge camp store, duel waterslides and they even have a pizzeria at the lake. We plan to be back again. - RiggsandClem
Jul 2015 - $39.00
Shower actually had a seat and shelves to put things on. This is one of the nicer KOA's we have stayed at. Very large gift shop, adequate General store. Very large game room with mini golf. Movies in "theater" at night. Easy to find, sites about average to pull into. - DaPope
Oct 2014 - $40.00
Very rough bathroom is not clean, and has a misting showerhead. The lake is millfoil-covered and slimy. Can see lots of splices in the site electric cables that are hung from trees instead of on poles or run underground. - luminary110
Sep 2016 - $42.00
We stayed here in a 36' 5th wheel w/3 slides and a F-350 DRW truck. Campground is a large field with water, sewer and 30/50 amp electric hookups; fairly small campground. Sites are grass and sufficiently wide and long to accommodate larger rigs. There are a lot of trees on the perimeter of the property; roof-mounted DirecTV satellite worked well; Verizon cell phone and WiFi worked well. Did not use restrooms/showers/laundry so can't comment. Picnic table and fire pit at sites. There's nothing fancy about this campground but it's quiet and convenient for sightseeing in the Rutland area. We also visited Fort Ticonderoga, NY - about a 50 minute drive. Owner is on-site. We would stay here again if in the area. - Moneypenny
Aug 2016 - $40.00
We stayed here because it was closest to Rutland and the Vermont State Fair. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The campground is basically an open field with side by side sites that are more spacious than most but there is no vegetation between so no privacy. Very easy in and out and good for big rigs. Dish and Verizon voice and data are very strong. We stayed two nights and would return for a night or two. They have a pool and game room but we didn't bother to check them out. Overall a good experience. - bgbassman
Aug 2016 - $27.00
State park. Gravel roads, gravel/grass sites. Some are larger than others and some will NOT accommodate larger campers.
Restrooms were rustic, but clean. Showers were clean. Would be nice to have more shower houses, though.
Swimming area was nice. Lake was absolutely gorgeous.
Some of the roads in the campground and the roads leading to it are very hilly, so be prepared for that.
No electric and no water available.
All around a nice campground. - grim509
Aug 2013 - $22.00
We reserved our site months in advance as we wanted to be on the water. We had a level site right across from the beach. This campground is primitive with no electric, water, or sewer. There are water spigots to fill up your tanks and a dump station for your departure. A couple of times of day a wood seller and a mini school bus drive around selling ice, worms, etc... Our relatives rented one of the mooring buoys and we had the best of both worlds. We have stayed here numerous times and definitely will be back. - Sockiegirl
Jul 2013 - $22.00
Our 2nd trip to this primative campground. Some of the sites are full of roots so it gets to be a pain. However, the campground is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Great priced and close to the town of Ticonderoga for whatever you need. The fishing was great as was the lake. If you are a hiker, bring your boots to go to the top of the rock for breathtaking views. It is a moderate hike. The supply trucks go around several times a day and you may want to invest in a small generator to keep your battery charged. Some of the fire rings on the sites further from the lake need to be upgraded but they still work. Great place to unwind. - Jellystar
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We needed a cg near Burlington as we were going to a rally and this fit our needs. Big rigs are an easy fit. We are a 36' MH plus toad. Delightful cg. rv owners, actual rvers, new owners(2nd year). We were greeted warmly at the office, paid and then led to our site. We were as far from the office as we could be and the wifi was very solid. Only 30a service but they are planning to upgrade to 50a. Would come back here again. - Wandering
Aug 2015 - $40.00
We stayed at this park for 6 nights. Wonderful people! Though close to Hwy 7, it was very quiet, lots of trees between us and the road. The owner is new as of August 2014. He has put a lot into fixing it up and plans to continue the upgrades. My only criticism is the wifi, thet do have it, but currently you have to be within 30-40 yds of the office...none of the sites are that close. Owner is trying to correct that with his vendor. Will stay here again for sure.41. - kltfaught
Sep 2015 - $39.00
I would have liked to give this park a 10 but because the pull-thru sites for "non-seasonal" are so close to the main road I could not. The owners have put in trees and shrubs next to the road but it will be quite some time before that will help the noise which is bad early in the morning. They are in the process of adding more and longer pull-thru full service sites on the adjacent property which they have acquired so these might possibly have less noise. From the first phone call to the park until we departed the lady who owns the park was warm, friendly and helpful. When we called to request a 2 night reservation she said if we stayed 3 nights the 3rd night was free so we took her up on the offer. Cable is $5 per night which is high compared to other parks but due to all the trees satellite was not an option. Wi-Fi worked well from our site which was nice since there is no AT&T cell service in the park. Even with close sites it wasn't bad while we were there because there were not many others parked near us. The laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers and was very clean. We would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area. - BandPS
Aug 2015 - $39.00
New owners have had the park for just over a year. They're working hard to improve it. Very nice people, except Mrs. Owner was very annoyed when we checked in because she didn't know we had Good Sam. (It took less time to correct the rate than she took in making sure I knew I'd inconvenienced her.) Be sure to ask her about any discounts when you call. AT&T doesn't work here at all. Owner said Verizon would work at office but our hotspot and phone did fine at our site. Good wifi at our site. Mostly seasonals but everything is neat and clean. They're working on increasing the number of short-term sites. Pull-thrus are close to the road and close together but noise wasn't bad. They're tight to get into. Convenient to Fort Ticonderoga, Crown Point and nearby state park. Would stay again if in area. - all4pets
Aug 2014 - $35.00
Nice park with new owners. Pull-through sites are a little tight, but are fairly level and covered with gravel. Laundry and bath house are clean and nice. Wi-Fi may work at some sites, but is good at the laundry room. NO cell service at all in the campground. Water, sewer and electric hookups are well located. Cable TV available for extra charge. A few OTA TV channels available with your crank up antenna. We might stay here again. It is conveniently located near Fort Ticonderoga. - TX Camper
Mar 2009 - $30.00
The park has new owners, and wow what a difference it has made! I camped here twice in 2008 and the campground was immaculate, and the owners were very helpful and courteous. They made me feel very welcome, even suggested areas to visit and had menus of local restaurants to look at. There is a new store and office that has loads of stuff and the pool area is very well equipped with furniture and tables. The campground had many campers both times I visited, but I still felt like I was camping in Vermont with beautiful trees and large grassy areas. The owners were diligently cleaning the bath house every morning and every night. I highly recommend the Campground!! - DGSteve
Jun 2007 - $23.00
Only campground we ever went to, where they had no provision for our trash (told us to take it with us)! You could pay $4 a bag to have your trash taken. They also told us not to pick up our dog waste (we did anyway). Bathrooms dirty. If you stay one night you pay extra to dump. No chairs by the pool. No recreation facilities. Everything was for the convenience of the owners. We have NEVER felt so unwelcome. We were only one of 4 campers at the campground and we quickly found out why it was so empty. Large grassy sites, though. They do keep it mowed. Its a passion of the owner, he mows all day! That's all he does. I don't think they ever clean the bathrooms. Extra for A/C. - pyrlover
Sep 2016 - $86.00
This park has very big campsites and very wooded but that is about all it has to offer. The whole park is filled with large gravel, so its hard to walk on. It is NOT dog friendly at all and very difficult for dogs to walk. Everything is located in one spot at the entrance and very far to walk to. The pool is very nice. No hiking on site or in walking distance. You must have a car. - buddykate
Aug 2016 - $79.00
We stayed for 6 days. The site is very big. This is a family type campground. Children under 12 will find it great. Adults and teens will find it average. We camped with 2 teens. If you are a family with young kids and can afford this campground you will enjoy it. There are other campgrounds more reasonable for adults and teens. - Vidman
Sep 2015 - $75.00
We stayed here for Labor weekend 2015. This campground has great potential. The positives are the great big themed pool with snack bar and the sites are spacious and spread out nicely. However the roads are not paved so the dust can be quite unbearable at times especially on very dry days. I have been camping for many years and have never experienced such a dusty campground. This is a new campground so hopefully they will at least pave the main roads soon. The other annoying thing is they sometimes play religious music at the pool, which is fine if that is your thing. The arcade was nice too. A fishing pond would be nice, especially for the price you pay. - Chuck Ct.
Oct 2016 - $32.00
Lovely park very private.
Great general store
Great Lake and beach owned by campground. You can rent a boat too.
Large spaces for rv buses and large rigs
Very winding road drive to get here. - Paige Taylor
Aug 2016 - $51.00
Had to move from a nearby CG due to insufficient voltage (Green Mountain Family Campground). Found this on advice from fellow camper. They had a FHU pull thru available. Would stay again. - Retired Lt
Jul 2016 - $25.00
Busy place on weekends. Full of tents and happy families. 2 pools and lake shore swimming very nice. Shady sites OK to maneuver into with out 25ft Class C. Park hosted a dance both nights. All ages in together. One neighbor started getting loud and rowdy, but only for a short while. All quiet all over on time and folks were generally quiet in the mornings too. I would go back for sure. Big storm blew over power pole, no elec for a few hours, even the store had no power but all got along and it was a good stay. - cherish
