Rate reflects required reservation fee which makes it a bit 'high' for no hook-ups. Add $2 for site with 'lake view' and No senior discounts. Activities and sites etc. remain as previous reviews. Most all sites in the big loop are in an open area good for solar and satellite, and would accommodate most any size rig despite the on-line suggestions. Fuel and grocery services are a bit away. Pool is only 3 feet deep, left over from the Girl Scout Park days. I liked this park as evidently do many 'locals' on the weekends, and would stay again for several days to make the daily average fee more reasonable. We camped at Button Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed on a weekday so the park was mostly empty. Great water and mountain views. Good canoeing. Our site had no hookups. We did not use the public toilets, so I have no comment. Fresh water and dump station access was good. Access roads within the park were good. Every site was level. There no TV reception using a standard amplified antenna. We camped at Button Bay State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The closest shopping is a 20 minute drive so bring every thing you need.

Beautiful location but not good if you want any hookups. Very few trees so in 95 degree summer weather our MH got too hot. Very little shade. The view from our site was worth staying for a few days but we were traveling with dogs and the MH just got too hot. There is limited generator use and for us it wasn't enough. Try and get site T52, unbelievable view. We camped at Button Bay State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Perfect place for a spring or fall trip.

This is a great CG. The staff are friendly and helpful, they have canoes and lake kayaks for rent, a nice swimming pool, and some nice short hiking trails. The roads are paved and the sites are grass. They have some issues with drainage after big rains and the second loop seems to have more wet sites than the 1st loop. We had ok Verizon Mi-Fi when there weren't too many people in the campground. The pay showers cost $1 for 10 minutes of hot water well worth it. Minimum is $.5 for 5 minutes. You are right on the the lake in a very rural setting low noise and light pollution. Take advantage of the various programs they have available. We'd come back here again in heart beat. We camped at Button Bay State Park in a Motorhome.

Button Bay State Park, Ferrisburgh, Vermont Friday – September 9, 2011. No hookups There are 55 campsites here located in two loops most on grass and if they have had heavy rains like after the hurricane some are underwater. This campground is located down some back roads that are very scenic and when you arrive it is beautiful looking out over Lake Champlain and the mountains of New York in the distance. We were there for one overnight on a beautiful sunny day with the temperature around 80 degrees the second week in September. Bathrooms were very clean and like all Vermont State Parks showers are pay. Vermont charges $20 for sites with a view and $18 if you are you do not. There is a swimming pool in the park during the summer months, a playground, picnic area. It is located 6 miles off of route 7 in western Vermont. We would return if we were in the area. We camped at Button Bay State Park in a Motorhome.
