Clean, quiet and very friendly helpful owner. Had some problems with our van and helped us find a dealer to help. WiFi poor unless you go to the porch of the main building. No shade, no level pads just grass to park on. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a jewel of a park, located in a beautiful area. You look out your door and see mountains and forest. The owners are easy to work with, they keep the park beautiful and well maintained. They have one area where horses can be kept while camping. It is quiet and other campers were friendly and respectful. I would love to go again and spend time. You do have to travel up a mountain road to get to the park, but so worth it. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Tent Trailer.

PA rate. Beautiful park about 20 miles from Montpelier. Forested area, but the park itself is not heavily forested, which is a perfect combination. Immaculately maintained, owner exceedingly friendly and helpful. No sewer but dump station. Satellite-based internet, so somewhat slow, but not his fault. He just installed a second satellite dish to service additional sites.

Highly recommended. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped there.... The pool that is advertised is just a kiddie pool, really nothing for children to do at all there, more for adults who like to party and drink. BEWARE!!!! they have alot of alcohol and loud music at this campground. No courtesy for other campers. WIFI is a horrible connection and also television is terrible. The campground store is a joke, never tended to and the owners are VERY irresponsible to their guests. Owners do not make any effort to make their guests feel welcome; that is, if you ever get to see them. Think twice people...AVOID THIS CAMPGROUND!!!!! If you want to become a Seasonal...DON'T!!!! not a wise idea. No picnic tables at sites. Only a dump station, no sewer and only 30 amp electric. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We noticed and talked to other campers and they were charged different prices. Unfair policies at this campground. No sewer hookups, nothing for children/teenagers. Noticed a lot of loud parties and alcohol. Owners seem to be more involved with their own selves then to make their campers happy. Bathrooms and showers not impressive at all. Overall, I would tell other campers to avoid this campground in all cases, other beautiful campgrounds within 20 miles that are wonderful. Again, avoid this campground!!!! We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not stay at this campground....warning!!! Horrible experience there, would advise no one to waste money on this park. Owners do not care about their customers, treats them terrible.

Other great campgrounds near by such as:

Sugar Ridge

Breezy Meadows

Tree Corners

Moose RIver

Check these out, you will be much more pleased!!!!

Our rate was with Passport America. When we arrived, we found that there was no one in the office, with a note on the door stating that they would return at 4:30. A lady stepped out of a permanent travel trailer and said to just grab a site and check in later, so we took a nice grassy site in the open with electric and water. There are no sewer hook ups, but they do have a dump site. There are a few trees around for shade, but not enough to block satellite. OTA TV worked well, with about 11 channels. The site we picked was a little unlevel, so we drove in, which made leveling easier. Campground appeared clean and well maintained. We didn't use the bathrooms or showers, so I can't comment on them. If in the area again, we will stay here. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice RV park with gravel main roads with gravel site roads with wide grass sites. The large open section has large sites with no trees, no table and no fire rings, 30 & 50 amp and good satellite signal. Unlevel sites, had to use 3 inches under tires to get level. The wooded area sites are smaller and all back in with 30 & 50 amp. The park is well maintained with usable password protected wi-fi signal, no Verizon or ATT cell signals very limited tv antenna signals, no cable. Good water pressure. No sewer at any sites only a dump station. Outdoor above ground pool, no rec center or small store. Only open in summer. Activities on holidays. Staff nice. Would stay there again. Cost listed is PA. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Good enough for an overnight stay. Clean and safe. Approximately 2.5 miles off of Hwy 2. Steep hill to climb off of Hwy 2. The pull thru is on the grass which has electric and water. There is a dump station on premise at no charge to campers. Site was hard to level. Plenty of room to walk Fido. Wi-Fi on site, but is weak. Satellite was fine but no OTA or cable channels. Would stay here again, but would like to see other options in the area. Rate is Passport America. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

OK campground. Lots and lots of people with small children live here. It was late September and the place was pretty empty except for the circumference sites which were permanent residents. The office was open but never staffed. A guest pointed to a field where we could set up. We set up next to the office and we still could not get decent Wi-Fi. Eventually someone came around to collect. I will pass on this park in the future. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient to Montpelier, Stowe, and good foliage drives. No sewer, but serviceable dump station. Wooded sites around the perimeter up the hill, wide open spots (with good satellite reception) down the hill on the flat. Fire rings, but no picnic tables. Wi-Fi was marginal, but usable – just s-l-o-w! No cable, but good antenna reception for local network channels. Adequate gravel roads and fairly level grass sites. Great value for the money. Would stay again. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Passport America rate listed at $17.00. Sites are only 2 way but fairly adequate. Large sites and easy access. Very picturesque area. Great place for a 3-5 day stay. Easy access dump station on the way out. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

Staff friendly, new electric hookups, open field that was mowed. Downside is the lack of quiet hours (or if there were they were not enforced). Friday night was a combination of noisy kids and barking dogs. We were awakened by the barking at 5am. We will avoid this park in the future. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This park is small but in a beautiful setting. Our pull-through site was grassy, level, and spacious. There is no black-water dumping, but gray water is permitted on the ground. The staff was very helpful. Wi-Fi was good; cell phone service was poor, but is very spotty all throughout this part of Vermont. There are a number of long-term campers here. Access from the northeast or northwest is much easier than from the south, and is worth a few extra miles to get there via US Hwy 2, even if you are coming from the south. We would stay here again. No Verizon phone or data. Free (slow) WiFi. Ability to dump gray water at site. A couple of air TV stations (including network). Small above ground pool. Level grassy sites. 1/2 price for PA. Best access is from north rather than from Groton. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.

The above rate reflects the Passport rate. We weren't charged any extra for electricity. This park is adequate for a couple of nights stay. It is pretty remote. There was no Verizon service anywhere near this campground. The site I was in was out in the open and not too level. It did rain some over night but not enough to be muddy. There are quite a few seasonals here. We camped at Groton Forest Road Campground in a Motorhome.
