Our site, which we reserved ahead of time, was very cramped and our RV barely fit into the site. In fact, they had to come out and trim several trees and bushes so we could get into the spot. Trees, bushes and foliage in the area we were staying were unkempt. Due to the size of the site, we could not park our truck on the site. We parked it at a vacant site across from ours. We were in an area that was mostly seasonal or long term residents and many of the sites were a mess. Some sites had multiple vehicles on the site and were quite cluttered. We could not sit out at night due to bugs. There is a pool, 3 feet deep, that appeared clean and taken care of. They advertise 2 pools, I didn't see the second nor most of the other recreational activities advertised. There are 2 washers ($2/load) and 2 dryers (.25/10 minutes). We enjoyed the location of the campground, close to the highway and Burlington. WiFi did not work and phone reception with Verizon was almost non existent. Cable TV was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a last minute check-in, as our prior reservation had to be cancelled. The park is just south of Burlington allowing access to Burlington, Stowe, Woodbury. Our site was tight to back into but we were able to park our Motorhome, car and tow dolly. Services were very good, we had strong wifi with our booster and cable. The cable head was quite a stretch so we had to borrow cable from the office which they had available. DId not use any of the amenities, so have no comment on them. Lots of seasonals in our area, but the park for the most part was quiet. Sites had lots of trees and shade that we appreciated, hated the open fields. Don't use satellite TV, so not an issue. Looks like the owners are trying to update and clean up, so this park is a work in progress. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

When I pay $47 to a camp ground, I expect the things they advertise to work: cable, wifi. I expect the roads to be pretty smooth and the site to be level and wide enough to back into without several attempts to adjust for the trees. I don't expect to step into muddy dirt in my spot. I expect a decent bathroom with more than a concrete floor and wet spots around the toilets and plenty of bugs. I expect the advertised pool to be more than 3 feet deep. I expect to be offered a partial refund if these things don't work. Next time I'll try the parks north of Burlington. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Dakin Farms store has a decade old tradition for great maple syrup and Vermont cheddar cheese as well as a bunch of other stuff. Plus free samples of everything so you can try lots of varieties before you buy.

Not cheap: but delicious! About 2 miles south of the campground on the right side. Go past it and make the first turn to end up in back of the store with good space for a long rig.

We stayed the night before going into the Champlain Valley fair grounds for a rally so we could arrive with full fresh water tank and empty waste tanks. The camping area is convenient for visiting the Shelburne Museum. The site we were in was supposed to be a pullthrough (to pull through diagonally) but we would have been hard pressed to hook up our electric or sewer if we had parked diagonally across the site. The site was deep enough for us to be able to back in and have our tow vehicle parked beside us.
The signage for the office was lacking; after turning in off of highway 7, it was not at all obvious where the office was - we just kept on driving straight down and eventually came across it. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

There are not many campground choices for a 40 foot motorhome in the Burlington area. We stayed here two nights and it was very convenient for us. However, the park was not very well maintained and is located back behind a rundown motel and cabins. The space was tight. But it was all we needed and we were happy to have found a spot. There are a number of seasonal campers. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

Only CG in the area open all year. Very convenient location & lots to do in the area! As others have said you are close to your neighbors, but trees give privacy. It is set well back from the road and so quiet at night. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

We went to Shelburne farms which is open to dogs after 1 Nov until the spring & loved it, beautiful estate set right on the Lake with beautiful fields to hike around! Check out on site bakery & cheese shop.

Check out Higher Ground if you are into local music.

We took our 32 ft 5 er on the Essex-Charlotte Ferry on our way to Old Forge NY & was a beautiful scenic ride.

The campsite was OK; it was good in size and there were trees around us which made it feel private enough. I don't think this campsite is pretty enough to stay for a week, but I do think it's absolutely great if you want to enjoy the city and everything in the area which is gorgeous. Perfect spot to spend a few nights.

The staff were nice.

The bathrooms and showers were free and clean.

Overall, perfect for us. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed just 1 night. Sites are tight, access streets are narrow. Right in town so convenient to resturants & attractions. They offered discount to Shelburne Museum which we visited and enjoyed. On divided highway so can't turn left into or out of campground. If staying in Shelburne again I would probably stay here since not much else around. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

We almost did not stay here because of prior poor reviews. But for visiting the wonderful Shelburne Museum and Burlington, it was the perfect location. We found this campground typical of many in New England - a bit cramped and a few too many trees although they gave us a site that facilitated connecting our roof top satellite dish. There were a few mobile homes where people seemed to be staying full time mixed with seasonals mixed with transients like us. Because it is located on a divided highway, getting into the park from the north was tricky. Once we found the special U-turn lane on the right hand side of Rt 7, it was doable. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Shelburne Museum is like no other museum we have ever visited. Allow two days for all the exhibits both inside and outside. We enjoyed a boat ride on Lake Champlain from Burlington and a rails to trails bike bath that included a ferry just north of town.

This is camping in a mud hole. The campsites are cramped with electric and water on the wrong side. We had to run our electric and water hose under our rig. The Wi-Fi worked OK and the cable TV was fair. It was raining throughout or stay and water and mud were everywhere including just outside our door. We could not exit without walking in the mud and water. I expected this in Alaska but not in Vermont. We would not stay here again. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

Rate this as a 0. Place is a dump. A seedy trailer park with overflow as an RV park. Weeds were ankle deep. Trees not cut back. Electric was marginal at best. Had to look in the bushes to find electrical box. No security. Woke up to find an old man searching thru sites for cans. And was there with a Tour Group. Would not stay there. Walmart parking lot is a 10 compared to this place. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The first was in the fall one year, and this time it was mid-July during a heat wave. On check-in the person told us we had a choice between two sights, and he told us which one had the most shade. I don't know how he thought this one had shade, and the one we didn't take was completely shady, but once we were hooked up, we didn't want to move. I will say the people here are very nice, and I like that now they will let you leave your pets in your RV while you visit the area, as long as you leave a cell # with them. So many parks do not allow this, and I don't know how they expect you to visit their area and contribute to their economy! Our site was wide enough for our big rig with three slides, and we had enough length, too. The pool looked very nice, although we did not use it. Lots of people seemed to be enjoying it, though. The roads here are some kind of white dirt, and it is always extremely dusty. This also tracks in not only on pets' feet, but also on their coats, and then it is all over your floor and furniture. Everyone here was very nice and friendly and it is such a short drive to lots of things to do and even into Burlington, VT. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.

Trashy motel up front, but campsites are very good. Power good, water good, sewer a little far off to the side, took 10+' of sewer hose. Showers dated but very clean with plenty of hot water. We would stay again if in area. We camped at Shelburne Camping in a Motorhome.
