Overall Rating:

We stayed this past weekend, our second time and we'll go back again next year (for an annual event nearby). Being on the weekend made the rate $5 more than weekdays ($40). It's a small campground, maybe 50 sites. Half of the sites are right next to the river, which was really nice. Except for a few tent sites, all the sites have full hookups. They also have fixed trailers you can rent for the night, which is great if you want to stay with friends who are camping. The owners are wonderful folks, making sure everyone has a good time. They have a strict policy about dogs being on leash, which is good, since it helps make sure they're picked up after. The campground is very dog-friendly. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Saturday night bonfire can be fun for folks to get together, though they didn't have it when we were there this time, due to the heavy rain. The place is well-kept and nicely decorated and landscaped. It's also outside of St Johnbury enough that you're not in the "city", but it's right off the highway, so easy access. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was a great place to stay for our first venture out in our new Travel Trailer. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, as were the other campers. Saturday night bonfire & DJ is the best! The ground were clean and well maintained, sites were excellent and hospitality #1. Will be returning! We camped at Moose River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Small park with lots of seasonal campers but the lady who runs this place keeps her fingers on it all. Plenty of room for big rigs but reservations are probably important, the place filled up every night I was there in early September. The place is immaculate, both wifi and my satellite worked well, and St. Johnsbury is an interesting stop if you're into the history of the area. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Motorhome.

Loved the park. It was a small park and all the seasonal campers were friendly. Everything was well groomed, sites were a good size, and restrooms/showers were very nice. The bonfire was great, as was the sip and paint we joined in on. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it for a relaxing vacation. Not really a lot to do in the area, but there is a lot of enjoyment in just relaxing or taking part in their activities. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Stayed for 12 days owners are very hospitable and make you feel at home. We will return again next year for a longer stay. All facilities are very clean and easy access. The camping is 15 miles to Kingdom Trails and less than 2 miles to the grocery store.

Water lots a good size for your average size trailers (30'). The center lots are for big rigs. Not suited for young kids. Great place for hikers, mountain bikers and just relaxing. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I was so enthralled by this place. It looks like a manicured golf course. We had a site by the river which lulled us to sleep each night. The Campground was having a wine and cheese party the night we pulled in and it was wonderful to meet your neighbors and have some fun by the bonfire. It was so nice that I made a reservation for my brother and sister-in-law to have a getaway for a few days there. They thoroughly enjoyed it. We will return year after year (God willing)! Excellent campground and very accommodating owners. They had a pig roast and band the night we arrived. Both were top notch. Most weekends the campground has "something" special going on. Sometimes entertainment, other times it may be an ice-cream social or live music. Owners are very eager to make your stay enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend this campground. Tips for other Campers:

Lots to see and do. Cheese making and sugar houses with delicious maple syrup. Very beautiful state but the northeast is the best. Good food at Mooselook Restaurant (home cooking and plenty of it at a very good cost), Riley's Fish Shack for local seafood and great clams, Tim's was another treat and very reasonable.

This is a FANTASTIC park. The owners are the best. They do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. It is easy to get to, very well maintained, and relatively quiet along a beautiful rapidly moving river. The owners love to plan special events and they absolutely love making the blazing bonfire on Saturday nights. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not miss Polly's Pancake Parlor in Maple Hill, NH. You may to wait awhile but it is really worth it. A bit further east you can go to the Flume Gorge. Amazing beautiful. The 2 mile hike thru the gorge is worth the money you spend to go. A must!
