Was a small park. Dog's were allowed in the bathroom, when reported owner he said we are "dog friendly". Nice wide and deep sites, good Wi-Fi. Walking path around lake. On check-in owner said we were lucky someone left early and we were placed in the middle of a group of nice people in a A-Liner rally in site 22. The owner I guess had forgotten he had told us we were in site 38 at time we made our reservations. Site 38 was occupied when we checked in they must have offered him more money who knows we had a nice site just be aware. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cabot creamery, Ben and Jerry's, covered bridges everywhere!, Bragg farm sugar house.

Don't let the trailer park you pass as you come up the entrance concern you. It is terrible but has no connection to the park. Park is run and owned by a young couple who say they are making improvements. Restroom/showers are older and small but work. .25 per 7 minutes. Used the laundry only because I needed to do two loads. The washer/dryers need a good cleaning and the cobwebs need to be cleaned out of the corners. Floor is unpainted concrete so made sure nothing hit the floor. Lots are grass and wide and didn't feel crowded over Labor Day weekend. The water slide that shows on the website doesn't look like it's been used in years. It's a quiet park even with Labor Day crowd. Close to Barre/Montpelier, Cabot Creamery, Quechee Gorge, Rock of Ages Granite quarry/factory. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We really enjoyed the Cabot Creamery tour. There is a covered wagon on the way to Cabot that is worth stopping to see. Also found the Rock of Ages tour very interesting. Tour guide was a retired teacher and did a great presentation. Had dinner at The Firehouse Bar & Grill in Barre. It was a very old firehouse with lots of interesting memorabilia If you are in need of RV supplies M's RV in Berlin, VT went our of their way to try to help us with a carbon detector problem.

As others have said, disregard the mobile home park on the way in. Entrance to this slightly rustic campground is gated and immediately after the gate is a down slope but our 40' had no problems. Roads are gravel/sand but not dusty at all. Sites are grass but ours took no time at all to get level. Sites are well spaced and we had great satellite reception. We are next to the Wi-Fi antenna so our connection has been great and owner also said upgrades to the system are in the works. Unbelievable how quiet the park is, but we are here after Labor Day so it is not crowded at all. Beautiful lake on the property that tent sites overlook, but the RV section where we are at does not; it looks through the fence toward the mobile home park but not an issue. Saw some reviews about the owner being rude but we have found him to be the exact opposite. Took us to our site, answered any questions and gabbed about the park and his plans for improvements...very friendly from our experience. Would definitely return. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hannaford grocery store about 10 minutes north. DO NOT TAKE EXIT 5 off of I-89 as your GPS will probably tell you...road grade is not good for RVs and trucks are told to avoid it. GO TO EXIT 6 and then east on HWY 63 to Hwy 14, south a few miles to campground on your right.

Great scenic park on a lake with ducks and forest. Our site was in the open, at our request, and satellite and cellphone friendly. We had full hookups, all of which worked well. This park is well maintained by the hard-working owner. It has gravel roads and crushed granite pads. The pad was close enough to level that we didn't put down jacks, though Rick was ready to help us do so. We were escorted to the site. A sign at the fork showed NO ENTRY and the other part was a downhill, so we stopped and looked things over. Rick came up to wave us in. We would definitely return. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is convenient to the Capitol and all Montpelier sites.

Can only echo what others have said, very spacious level sites, good hookups, good cable. Most peaceful campground we have seen in months of travel, no trains or traffic noise. Store is fairly well stocked and operates a small snack bar. Lake is picturesque and lots of kids seem to like playing in it, but the beach is away from the campsites just a bit so no noise from that. Definitely will be back when in the area. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very handy to Montpelier.

Had a nice stay and the sight was large, clean and backed up to nice lake. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

...Tour Maple Syrup plant and Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory. Strange as it may seem their is a unique cemetery in town that has some granite tomb stones that cost 500,000.

Actually not much going on in the area.

Williamstown is just outside of Barre, which is about 20 or so min. from Waterbury or Montpelier and about 40 min from Burlington - all places with tons to see and do! It's also the cheapest place to stay, and super nice! The sites were the most level we've run across in ages, nice space between, great cable, WiFi, cell service, peaceful, nice shade, well kept up...and the people, both the 'regulars' and the owners, couldn't have been nicer! We had car trouble, and "neighbors" gave us a ride, Rick, the owner, got a hold of a great mechanic that came right out and for us. Just super great people. Rick also was great at telling us about covered bridges, etc. We'd come back in a heart beat. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

So much to do! Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Cabot Cheese, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, covered bridges, Hope Cemetery, Rock of Ages Granite Quarries, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory

Campground in very nice setting overlooking a small lake (large pond). Sites are large and grassy. Wi-Fi either worked great (75% of the time) or not at all, no in between. Nice walking trail around lake. Very quiet and relaxing place! We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

We had site 22 which was 50 amp full hook up with cable and a huge site. Good water pressure, new owners very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms clean and laundry reasonable. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice surprise. Well kept grounds with a large number of seasonal rentals. Site were grassy and level. Staff was efficient and friendly. Had a nice lake with swim platforms. Only complaint was a $5 charge for A/C. Price included Good Sam discount and charge for A/C. Would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Lovely campground in a peaceful, serene setting. We had site 31 overlooking the lake. It was a huge site with large shade trees. The owners are very friendly and are working hard to upgrade the campground. We had cable tv and decent wifi access. The store has basic supplies. It was very quiet during the week but gets more crowded on weekends. Lake is nice and has canoes and pedal boats available for a small fee. Water slide available for fee. You have to pay for showers but we showered in the camper. Conveniently located to many area attractions such as Ben & Jerry's, Cabot Cheese, Montpelier, etc. Price reflects Good Sam discount plus surcharge for use of a/c. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this campground. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice quiet well run park. It's about 6 miles south of Rock of Ages granite factory. Nice tour. Be sure to take exit 6 off Route 89, and not Exit 5. Its a little bit longer to double back, but the road from Exit 5 is a 2 lane, narrow road with very steep grades over 10%. The park is on a nice quiet lake well away from traffic and noise. We had a 30 amp full hookup with water and sewer, but no cable, and we were unable to pick up any stations using the digital antenna. New owners are wonderful people working very hard to create a great camping experience for you. The campground is on one side of the lake, and forested on the other. I can't begin to imagine how beautiful this view would be when the leaves change in the fall! This park is arranged so that it would be a great place to have a large group gathering, but best to call and plan ahead for this. Overall, a very nice park. We would surely return again! We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is really a nice friendly place. We were apprehensive about camping here as the old owners were less than hospitable. But we took the chance as my brother and friend were already there. The new owners were friendly, helpful and genuinely glad to have us there. The new owners have installed all new electric, water, and septic on the sites so it was a little muddy at first but there was no standing water. Once the new grass comes in it will be beautiful. I will definitely return for another weekend or two. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is under new management. Let me tell you they are friendly and hard working. We were shown to our site and helped with parking. The sites are roomy and even with all that rain good drainage. We had a full/hookup site, everything worked great. I was surprised to get Wi-Fi so well in Vermont. We spent a week there so I used the laundry room; it was clean and reasonable. This is a real nice location for touring Vermont. If you have small children, this park is nice for bike riding, small play area with jungle gym. If coming and using a tent the picnic table has a covering. Nice park for walking your dog as you can go around the lake. Small dog park but nice and well kept. Overall a very nice campground. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very pretty spot. Be sure to follow website driving directions. Large level sites: ours was wide but not deep, the FHU 50A sites easily accommodate large motorhomes. Good Wi-Fi, and major cable TV. Very friendly owners. Medium size dog park, but a large field to run your dog. Our Golden Retriever enjoyed swimming in the lake, but every time she went by the office, the owners gave her another biscuit. I thought I had reserved a FHU site but ended up with just W/E on a very busy weekend. Bathrooms are old but clean and adequate; showers are quarter for 5 minutes. We planned on staying 3 nights, but are staying an extra day. We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
