Great location on Main Street in Damascus. The owner is friendly and has a very welcoming place here. Most nights you'll find guests congregating on the front porch. Bathrooms are clean and the shower is hot. And the WiFi is strong! Your stay gets you 10% off at the Bike Station across the street. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is not an RV park in any conventional sense. Rather it is a few diagonal parking spaces right on a pulic road to park your RV. It does have full hookups which work well; although it only has 30 amps. There is no cable TV. The wifi is excellent. The road that the parking spaces are on is very busy with bicycles. The host is very pleasant. I would not stay here again. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a basic, BASIC place to park your RV. The one shower is small with no mirror. (We used the facilities in our RV) The owner is friendly and helpful in setting up your RV. All the sites have full hook-ups. The WiFi was strong and reasonably fast. The sound of Laurel Creek was pleasant to listen to as we went to sleep. The RV Park is within an easy walk to restaurants, bike rentals, churches and the PO. GREAT place to stop if you are biking the Virginia Creeper. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

We used Blue Blaze, the original bike rental/ shuttle service for the Virginia Creeper Trail. They were great.

Best place in town, walk to everything, every spot is on the creek. Also best bicycle trail in the country! Check out Virginia creeper trail on line. Owner of park is nicest person you will ever meet . Also gets you a discount on the bike lift to top of mountain. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is a perfect location for biking the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is a tight campground for a 40 foot motorhome, but the owner is super nice and everyone camping is friendly as well. Other than the bike trail, there is nothing much in town, but we enjoyed our stay. Keep in mind this is 30 amp electric and not 50 amp. We had the site closest to the main road and the trucks started coming by at 5 am. Not real great for sleeping. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is small and limited, but the camp host, Russell, Is very friendly and full of info, and the CG is right in the middle of town (Location, location, location!). The VA Creeper recreational trail is at one end of the street (about 3 blocks) and the other end of the street is the AT which runs right thru the middle of town. several other trails very close by. Site was about 1" out of level and power was excellent @ 116 Vac. Not a whole lot of space between sites but we did put out the awning, and all 7 sites back up to the lovely babbling Laurel Creek. We will return here for more bike riding and maybe some kayaking. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Damascus Brewing Co, just west of town (closest brewery to the AT) has some great brews.

Nice little park right in town. Very good location for bicycling on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Small sights that back up to the creek with a picnic table. Level sites. Small town so not much road noise. Good friendly owner. Not much to do other than the bike path. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice little campground with a very nice owner. Wi-Fi was very limited with a weak signal in site 5. All sites back up to a stream and you get the sound of water flowing over the rocks. The park is almost downtown which makes walking to any of the stores downtown a snap. Damascus is geared for biking and hiking. Great place to stay and calling the owner to get directions to get into the park is a must. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

The previous review was right-on. Nice place to stop and visit this quaint little town for a little R & R. The only drawback we had was there was no AT&T cell service. There was some kind of service since we did see people walking around using cell phones. Nice folks running this campground, and it was fun to sit by the creek and watch the fish and ducks. Couldn't get much more relaxing than this. No bathrooms or laundry facilities. Virginia Creeper trail is right there and bike rentals are plentiful if you so choose to ride the Trail. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Located at the intersection of US 58 and Railroad Avenue in downtown Damascus. The sites all back up to Laurel Creek with a good view. The sound of rapids is peaceful and relaxing. Sites are almost level, fine gravel. All hook-ups were good. Convenient in town to link up with numerous bicycle shops for transport to the Virginia Creeper Rail-Trail. The owner and wife were very friendly and welcoming, treated us like we were family. The Virginia Creeper Trail is only 3 blocks away. We would definitely camp here again when in the area. A very small RV park located next to a stream in Damascus that is very basic, but clean and everything worked. The owners are very friendly and helpful if wanting to see the sights and spend some time in the area. This area of Virginia is among the most scenic and this park is the only one for 30 miles around. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV park in center of town easily accessed from main Hwy, at bridge over creek. VA Creeper Trail close by. A few miles up the road to Abingdon and the Barter Theater. Great mountain roads nearby, including Rt. 91 from Mountain City, NC. Friendly, talkative manager who was accommodating. No showers or laundry. No play ground equipment but we saw plastic wading pool and slide that might do for small children. All utilities, including Wi-Fi, worked well for us. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
