Creekside Campground is a hidden gem within the Shenandoah Valley. We stayed there several nights in a full hookup site. It it had the best cable and WiFi of any campground I've stayed in recently. The sites on the Creek are very peaceful and relaxing. If you are exploring the Shenandoah Valley the campground is centrally located. I have stayed at several other campground within the area but this is by far the best. Can't wait to go back! We camped at Creekside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

35' MH towing a car. The road in from town is narrow and final road to campground is treacherous. No room for two large rigs passing. No pull thrus. It reminds me of a place people setup a rig to go to for a weekend camp location. Not for an overnight. Paid for full hookups and within 35 minutes the electrical quit, so went to the office where young fellow had us use extension and connect to next site electric. Price included WiFi but they did not have an available box so no TV. No doggie play area or decent place to walk a dog. All sites are tight. Picnic table was a cob job. Avoid. This is NOT easy on & off the interstate. You must travel through Edinburgh which is old town with typically narrow streets. Once off the main road, you travel through narrow roads in residential area, then onto a road leading to campground that narrows, has blind curves and is downhill. This is the way in and out. As you near the bottom, slow down campground is on left. If you overshoot you have to back up. The road continues to a narrow one lane bridge. Highlight was leaving this place early AM. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a small park on a creek. You are only one block from Main Street. This would not be a place for a long stay but was perfect for a couple of nights. The park was clean and bathrooms close. The cable was very fast. We were actually able to stream Netflix with no problem. We would stay there again. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

VERY steep and narrow access roads to the park. Electric service wires very low. Could easily to back rear ladder into them. Cable TV was the worst we have ever seen. Our sewer connection was covered with tin foil. Asked about the sewer cap and reply was "Sorry, I forgot to go to Lowes and buy one". The lights in the restrooms are on timers. Both my friend and I were "caught in the dark". Picnic table was "child sized" We camped at Creekside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do NOT follow GPS to get here. Had some difficulty finding an open restaurant for dinner. Spring House Tavern in Woodstock was decent (interesting decor and good beer selection)

We were on the creekside...site 20. Our site was LEVEL. W/E/S all worked well. Cable was good. ATT worked well. IF you are looking for pristine with lots of amenities this is not for you. Looking for peaceful and relaxing this is it. We enjoyed all the ducks on the creek. We were happy to see a little weasel across the creek a few times. The host was helpful, but is leaving in 2 days. As for the children they are very happy fishing and enjoying the outside. They stopped by a couple of times to pet our dogs, but were no problem. They are polite. They will be leaving within the week. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The site was pretty level, water pressure good, 50 amp worked well, wifi was good and ATT service good. We reserved a specific site but it wasn't available when we checked in (the unit in our reserved site was bumped into our site since his was given to someone else, after talking with several people this happened quite often). We were originally given a very narrow site that we couldn't put out our awning. We changed to our reserved site the next day and it had plenty of room. The campground hosts were very nice and helpful. It was a nice and peaceful campground until the four kids (permanent) in the park got home from school. They would ride their bikes down the one street yelling then tromp thru our site looking for each other. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

DO NOT FOLLOW GPS to 10 ton single lane bridge - use their directions and follow signs. This is a very small creekside campground with easy access to Interstate 81. Sites are small and close together - either creekside with the town above you, on the woodside or grassy open tent sites on the creek. Select you site carefully as some in the middle of the creekside are extremely close to one another. We had electric, sewer, water, cable with an additional box, and wifi. Electric on hot day was a bit inconsistent - use caution. Relaxing, peaceful campground located in a equally welcoming small town. Will definitely be back to explore the area. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Mill Museum - great local civil war historical museum. Shenandoah Winery - nice pleasant stop on a hot day. Sam's Italian Grill & Bistro - PASS - we must have hit it on a bad day based on other reviews. Tough veal and thin watery "can" tasting sauce.

Smaller campground convenient to I-81. Few options in this region, this one is the best. Gravel roads that need some more gravel. Sites are not very level, may need to jostle around a bit to level your rig. Scenic, quiet with the soothing sound from the creek. Water, wifi, electric all good. Need a cable box to get cable, no charge but something else to hook up. No store on site. Follow their website directions, not your GPS. It will take you to a load limited one way bridge. We will stay here again, good overnight stop. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

We were looking to stay hitched for two nights and were able to do so. The park is within walking distance of main street, with some sweet eateries but no real shopping. Note: there is a rather steep hill on the two block walk to town for those who have mobility issues. The two young men running the place had made some significant upgrades since our visit several years ago and were very friendly. The new Super Site at the end by the rapids had a lovely deck (but rig would have been facing wrong way for the view) and perhaps more private decks along the water will come. Little to no vegetation or screening of sites. All are back in sites. Main Street did not have much in terms of shopping, but there was talk of getting a grant to turn a building into a variety of shops. They could use some onsite trash containers. There is a trash trailer behind the office. Pleasant stay on our way back from Florida! They might be well served to turn a site or two by the bridge into cabin sites and a park gazebo would be very sweet. Definitely be back. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Shenandoah Valley Cultural Heritage Museum, which was well done and good lunch at Trixies next door (the locals were ordering the burgers). Priscillas for breakfast and lunch was arty and lovely with an outdoor deck and yard for dogs. Priscilla is a retired vet and our breakfast croissant sandwich was killer. , Sam's Italian Grill for dinner (great soup) and Trixies for lunch were all winners.

About half of the sites are along a nice creek. All sites are back-in and are of different sizes. Our 35' with deep slide out and awning fits nicely in some and has a very tight fit in others. The campground is nicely shaded, but for larger trailers the trees that make a nice shade become obstacles to easily backing in and can interfere with slide outs and awnings. Still there are several sites that are easy to park even large RVs in, so just tell the person who answers the phone what you need. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Route 11 potato chip factory out of Mt. Jackson is a good visit. There is a very interesting local museum in an old mill in Edinburg that is cheap and easily found. There is an interesting drive up the Edinburg Gap road (675) that goes to Camp Roosevelt, the site of an old CCC camp. Not much left of the camp, but signs describe what was once there and there are some camp sites and picnic facilities there. The road goes on over the mountain and makes a nice drive.

Very small park. Big rig WARNING! Don't follow GPS unless you can go over a 10ton bridge. Ask for directions to make sure, if you weigh over 20,000#! Wifi is billed as one of the fastest and fiber optic. While it did at times have good speed, it dropped off quite frequently and slowed considerably during high use times. It was hard to average 3MB down most of the time. (Retired network admin so I do closely monitor these things).

Our spot (19) was tight for our 41' DP and depending on where we parked it ranged from 5-7" drop at the rear in our back in site (level mate pro). Check in was friendly and free cable was good (even helped us set it up as it required a box). After checkin though, subsequent visits to office were unfruitful as no one was there. Late check ins that came in were trying to call the number on the door and got no answer. We tried to return cable box the day we left and office was locked at 9:20am (hours 9-4 on door) and tried calling number to tell them we were leaving the cable box and no answer and no one ever called back to confirm they had gotten it. Ok in a pinch, but not sure we'd go back again. A little more onsite customer service would go a long way. Good Verizon cell coverage at 2-3 bars LTE. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Beans BBQ about 1 minute away was outstanding (only open 3 days a week tho). Also the Italian restaurant in town was good and reasonably priced.

Luray Caverns nearby as well as the famous Skyline Drive. (Got in free with our National Park Pass). Food Lion grocery store about 10 minutes away.

We were here over the fourth of July weekend. We had one of the sites across the road from the creek; these sites are a little longer. Interior roads are gravel; sites are gravel and grass. Sites are very close together. Not much room to park your vehicle. All sites are back-in. Excellent for tenters by the creek. The park clean; owners are very friendly. Best WiFi we've had (fiber optic). Within walking distance to the main street of Edinburg. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We had the best time at Creekside Campground, it is definitely at the top of our list of favorite sites. We camped next to my parents at sites 16 and 17 right on the creek, for four nights. We especially prefer quiet, secluded, and low key campgrounds and this couldn't have been more perfect! Also they have awesome wifi connection (free) and free cable (we had nearly 100 channels).

The staff is amazing, nonstop cleaning, providing service, and a friendly smile. The campground is extremely clean, well maintained, and has friendly staff!! Many of the campers were in and out for short periods of time, and some were there for longer stays like us. The campsites are on the smaller side, but we're perfect for us and we spent most of our time right at the bank to the creek behind our camper. We even had 17 month old twins with us and enjoyed our time there with them. I highly recommend this campsite!! Guaranteed relaxation and serenity!!

Definitely don't follow GPS when you get close to the campground. It will route you to a difficult entrance (at Water St) with tight turns and a one lane bridge. I had seen this in other reviews on Trip Advisor, and we easily followed the signs for the campground to enter through a second entrance that was a piece of cake. It's all very self explanatory if you follow the street signs with the Creekside Campground name and arrows. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 1 night while passing through. The grounds were well kept and clean. Restrooms and showers were clean. The owner was very friendly. The sites were level with gravel pads and grass to the side. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. It's a small campground, and very peaceful. The only downside is that there's only 1 shower in each of the ladies and mens restrooms. We'd stay here again. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.
