5 Parks near Emporia, Virginia
Jul 2016 - $41.00
Our site was littered with debris from previous campers when we arrived. - LSM55
Jun 2016 - $45.00
Typical Yogi Bear campground. Overpriced and overrated.
Sites were gravel and fairly level. No shade where we were parked on a 91 degree day. Sure gets warm inside the RV !
Office manager was very pleasant. - w3sjkb3aam
May 2016 - $40.00
Dirty. There was trash in our fire pit and trash in the fire pits all around us. Site was not level, no way for us to level it. We had to use 2 extension cords to reach the power supply.
Check in was easy, offer plenty of discounts. For us, we will not stay again. - adcharles1969
May 2010 - $18.00
This "campground" is a dirt (spots of grass) parking lot behind a motel. It appears to be very old and poorly maintained. Hookups very rusty, but usable. We did not see any sewer hookup. There was a dump...not in good shape. Restroom was available with a key...very old and basic, but seemed clean. The lot looks like it would be a mess in wet weather, but it was dry when we were there, and it is very convenient for a pull through night, just off the highway. We will not likely use it again. - joyces
Dec 2009 - $29.00
Sites were level. We were able to use our satellite. Site long enough for 40ft+towing. Sewer connections nicely placed (not in back and not raised). Wi-fi strong and fast and free. Local pizza delivery available (not RV park pizza). Interior roads very wide. Roads paved with no ruts; more than enough for big rigs. Staff was friendly. Very nice and clean. There were no permanent residents. Propane was available. We will stay here every time we are near. - petersoldan
Oct 2007 - $18.00
This campground is a reasonably priced, easy off, easy on, Interstate stop over. I would not recommend this as a destination RV Park. Cable TV is an extra $4/night, but the TV service is was excellent as was the free WiFi. The voltage was low (105-V) in the morning when all the overnighters were using power. I had to turn my refrigerator and water heater on gas. Security in an unknown quantity as this campground is not in the best of neighborhoods. However, there are lots of bright lights. I would stay here again. - dlr
Jul 2016 - $34.00
We stayed 3 nights. We had a large level gravel site. Spacious, clean, Wi-Fi strong in some areas. We visited to check out Roanoke Rapids area. The staff was excellent and very professional. Large Dog run, pool, hot tub, 9 hole mini-golf for a great price. Satellite reception was excellent. We were in site P19. - Nomad61
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Stayed two nights. Clean, spacious sites. Easy in/out. Level. Some sites paved/concrete. Others with gravel with concrete pad. Only problem - water does not drain well at some sites. It rained ( can't prevent that ) both days. Had to step out into 1-1 1/2 of water because pad is lower than the ground. Will stay again; but not at site P6. - billydw
Jul 2016 - $33.00
I think this is an excellent stopover CG off I-95. Easy off/on and easy to maneuver within the CG. Office was closed as it was July 4th. They have a very easy and clearly described self check-in system. Choose your site, put cash in an envelope with site #, and put in box. If paying by CC, go to office the next morning. It says you pay $1.00 more for CC, but they did not charge me that. Our pull-thru, 50 amp, FHU site was gravel and level. We paid $33.00. The paved sites were $5.00 more, and the gazebo sites were another $5.00. WiFi worked well. They had limited cable channels, but plenty to have enough choices. If we had not been traveling to a destination, and if there had been anything in the area, we would've happily stayed here for a few days. We will stay again if traveling on I-95. - Gayle E.
Apr 2016 - $10.00
A little tight pulling in with fences on both sides of the motorhome. Check in was very comfortable, nice concrete level pads. We only stayed over night but would stay again. - TheBounders
Nov 2015 - $1.00
Price reflects ROD membership. Campground was easy to find. (We followed directions on C2C website.) They have a "fun center" on site with bowling, exercise room and other activities. It is odd that the hot tub is in a different building than the indoor pool. There is a restaurant at the campground, but it is only open on a very limited basis. When checking into the campground, they direct campers through a very narrow drive with a fence on both sides. It was very challenging to maneuver through this area. While we were there, another camper ran into the fence causing damage to their camper and the fence. The fenced area is a very poor design; they need to find a different solution to put campers while waiting for registration. Because of the trees and the very narrow roads through the campground, the sites are hard to get into. Sites are close together, but there are enough trees that it makes it have a little separation. Campsites have a concrete pad to park the RV. The concrete pad helps the sites to be level. Each site had a wooden patio with a picnic table. There is also a charcoal grill at each site. Well maintained roads through the campground. Laundry Room is so small that the doors of the dryers don't fully open-they are stopped by the washers.
We had to use our booster to get Verizon coverage. Not a prayer of getting DirecTV satellite in these trees. - GLPColorado
Jul 2015 - $10.00
Stayed overnight on a Coast to Coast reservation. Check in was quick and escort to site was provided. Back-in site was level, but dirt/clay which stuck to everybody's feet, including the dog. Interior roads could use some work, but sufficient for overnighting. We will probably stop here again. - Alworth
