1 Park near Fredericksburg, Virginia

Smaller KOA but had so many amenities with pool, dog park, fishing pond, boat & bike rentals, stocked store, playground and pristine babbling brook. Dog waste cans provided in multiple locations. Staff was very present, HAPPY and very proud of their park. i just walked the park "looking" for something wrong and I couldn't find one piece of trash, one unkept area and the bathrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen. My only thing they could improve is the wifi....it is painfully slow. Only one restroom for entire park so plan your space upon what your needs are. - ImaStyxFan

This is a really nice campground, open year round, they had nice, level sites, a bunch of cabins, good, well stocked store, nice pond and a nice looking pool. Sites are gravel and mostly close together, some premium sites had nicer fire rings and patios. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Bath house was very clean and looked fairly new. Only problem was low water pressure, so it took forever to get hot water, and then it wasn't very hot.
It is not too far off I-95, far enough to get away from the road noise, and down a winding road to get there. You could occasionally hear a very distant rail line, but you had to listen for it, otherwise very quiet. Overall a great experience. - Cyclonic

We stayed at this lovely campground for a week and enjoyed it very much! The campground is mostly wooded with nice trees at each site. It had large, level pull through sites with full hookups, free cable and wifi and the nicest bathrooms and showers ever! They seemed very new and the camp store was great. Super nice folks running it and lots of fun things to do for the kids like panning for gold, renting pedal-carts and paddle boats. It felt very safe, and was very quiet, yet convenient to good shopping and several great Civil War sites and battlefields. We would definitely come back! - Jeni
