We stayed in the deluxe rv site with "enhanced fire pit" and patio furniture. The site was nice, but the firewood didn't burn very well. We are a family of 6 and had to pay extra for half of our kids. With the price of the campsite I thought that was overkill. The pool was nice. Playground was fun for the kids, but very outdated. The Gemstone Mining they advertise is you buying a bag of sand/gems for $12 and sifting it in the water. Overall nice little trip with the kids, but felt overpriced. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed in 33ft motorhome. No tow vehicle (I drove separate since we were local). Some lots were in full sun, luckily we had shade since it was in the 90's both days!

Very clean campground. We stayed in a cabin and never expected it to be so nice. The beds are sealed in vinyl so you get nobody's cooties and they are easy to clean. Many activities for the family. Lovely swimming pool also. We camped with Cub Scouts but chose to be in a cabin as we brought our dog. The campground is very dog friendly. They are extremely pleasant people. Can't wait to go again. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Cabin.

This park is located off a narrow, winding road. The entrance road could use some patching. The interior roads are dirt. The sites are gravel and somewhat level. The wifi was weak. We were next to the pond and duck poop was everywhere. (Can't stop the ducks from pooping so I'm just saying). We had a rain storm and our site was flooded. Had to stay inside until it drained. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stay while on the road to a further destination. The registration was a breeze and the park was QUIET. The site was a level, pull-thru for our 32 foot MH. Highly recommend this park if you want a quiet, wooded, relaxing campout. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

While visiting family in the Fredericksburg area, we stayed at this KOA because it really is the only option. The route to the park is in the country and narrow. There is a steep hill right before the entrance so you hope no one is following too closely and is paying attention. The entrance and interior roads are full of potholes It's a pretty big park with lots of trees. Directv satellite was not possible. We had no Verizon coverage unless we used our extender and then we still only had 3g and one bar so it was pretty useless. The Wi-Fi worked pretty decent but only because we have a Wi-Fi extender. The sites are strange. Most of them have a steep entrance and/or exit with a somewhat flat part in the middle. Some sites in the back were partially flooded due to heavy rain. Each site has a picnic table but they old and very dirty. There's no landscaping, just the "natural" look. They have what they call deluxe sites which just includes a small pergola - hardly makes it deluxe IMHO. There is a small playground with some old worn out equipment. There is a pond which attracts lots of geese and the resultant poop. The pool, although small, is probably the nicest amenity. They have a dump but it is strangely positioned just past where the check-in line starts. We paid for the weekly rate and still think this park is way too expensive. BTW - you have to specify that you want the weekly rate (which is a night free) or they won't give it to you. If you are a KOA member, they will just apply the 10% discount rather than giving you a night free. If not a KOA member, they will charge fully for each night. Weekend and holiday nights are more expensive, and the night you get free is whichever is the last expensive night. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

Smaller KOA but had so many amenities with pool, dog park, fishing pond, boat & bike rentals, stocked store, playground and pristine babbling brook. Dog waste cans provided in multiple locations. Staff was very present, HAPPY and very proud of their park. i just walked the park "looking" for something wrong and I couldn't find one piece of trash, one unkept area and the bathrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen. My only thing they could improve is the wifi....it is painfully slow. Only one restroom for entire park so plan your space upon what your needs are. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice campground, open year round, they had nice, level sites, a bunch of cabins, good, well stocked store, nice pond and a nice looking pool. Sites are gravel and mostly close together, some premium sites had nicer fire rings and patios. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Bath house was very clean and looked fairly new. Only problem was low water pressure, so it took forever to get hot water, and then it wasn't very hot.

It is not too far off I-95, far enough to get away from the road noise, and down a winding road to get there. You could occasionally hear a very distant rail line, but you had to listen for it, otherwise very quiet. Overall a great experience. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this lovely campground for a week and enjoyed it very much! The campground is mostly wooded with nice trees at each site. It had large, level pull through sites with full hookups, free cable and wifi and the nicest bathrooms and showers ever! They seemed very new and the camp store was great. Super nice folks running it and lots of fun things to do for the kids like panning for gold, renting pedal-carts and paddle boats. It felt very safe, and was very quiet, yet convenient to good shopping and several great Civil War sites and battlefields. We would definitely come back! We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

Park is not big rig friendly. Place looks so unkempt. Park is difficult to navigate. WiFi terrible. Zero amenities. Even fire ring is just a couple rocks placed in a circle. Staff acted as though they were doing you a favor by waiting on you. We are full timers and have been to probably about 20 KOAs. In general KOAs are just OK. But, this one is the worst we have seen. If you are tent camping and just looking for a spot in the woods to pitch a tent this might be OK. But for anyone else, would recommend you pass. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed her for a weekend to tour the civil war battlefields of Fredericksburg. The campground was lovely and the people were very friendly. Our site was an electric/water very shaded back in site. The only real complaint was the fire pit was located under our awning so no fire. The showers were clean but the water pressure was not the best. Was able to connect to the wifi but it was extremely slow. If we come back again to finish touring the battlefields, since it takes more than a day, we would stay here again. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly and helpful staff for our first time visit. We opted for a pull through, since we were just staying one night. Our site was a bit narrow and not quite level, but it was satisfactory. Great place if you are traveling through the area and need a place to stay. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was the nicest KOA I've ever stayed at. Grounds were impeccably clean, office/store was spacious and beautiful. We had torrential rain but no flooding or big puddles around site.

We have stayed here 3 times in the last 2 years. It is a clean, well maintained park.

The narrow hilly road to get there is a challenge if you have a big rig.

It is kind of pricey, but, most KOA camps are.

There are many Civil War historical sites nearby.

For one or two nights, it is a great place to stay. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Don't buy propane there unless it's an emergency. Price I was told was $3 something a lb. I must have heard wrong.

This KOA is several miles off of the Interstate. We like that because we can listen to the birds instead of traffic noise. We travel in a 45' motor home and pull a trailer. We asked for and were assigned a pull-through site with 50A. This has been our 2nd visit to this KOA and we will return if we travel through this area. One area of concern at this KOA is that the pull-through sites are not necessarily completely level on the pullout side. You may have to raise the coach level to avoid scraping. We walked the sites this time prior to selecting one to make sure we will not have this problem. This is a very nice, well kept, clean and wooded KOA. Highly recommended. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.
