We used points to stay so the price shown is what we would have paid if not a member. Our site had an outside sink, gas grill, and a large custom picnic table all on an oversized patio. There is a pool, putt-putt course, horseback riding and much more. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Shenandoah Crossings is a major timeshare resort, with cabins, yurts and a hotel. It also includes a marina with boat rentals, several large pools, recreations rooms, arcades, a stable, mini-golf...you name it, it's here spread out over several miles of wooded acreage and roads. There is also a large RV park sort of added on to the property. The RV side is divided up into 3 zones with about 50 sites per zone, each with a bathhouse and laundry room. We stayed in the lower zone, which was within easy walking distance to the main recreation building and pools. Walking...a thing that most folks do not do here. Never seen so many golf carts ever. Seems to be a "locals" hangout. RV's come in with 2 or 3 chase vehicles, almost always including golf carts, RV park has no apparent rules as to how many people/vehicles can share a site, so they bring them all and every toy/gadget/electric gizmo imaginable. Gone are the days that kids run around or ride a bike...if it's not a hover board or has a motor...well, the Joneses are falling behind. RV side is a complete split personality depending on day of week. Monday thru Thursday its quiet, adult and very pleasant. Then Friday comes, and the hordes descend. Campground Armageddon. Golf cart races, bonfires, 20 persons per site...off the chain crazy. That said, we really like the place overall. The sites are all paved and extra wide with trees and shrubs in between for some privacy. Previous reviews complain about the level...no, the sites aren't perfectly level (are there any anywhere?) but it wasn't horrible and was completely manageable with a lego or two under the tires. Having a paved site was awesome. Utilities were logically placed and worked well. Wifi was good during the week and not so much on the weekends when the kids who weren't hoverboarding were streaming movies. Laundry is FREE!* (*= free, but the machines are tiny) We stayed 3 weeks here, so saw the cycle a few times. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Travel Trailer.

History buffs will really love this area. # founding fathers' homes are within 30 miles (Monticello, Mont Pellier and Monroe's home) and several Civil War dramas played out locally. In Gordonsville there is an elegant old train hotel that was converted into a Confederate war hospital treating over 70,000 wounded soldiers.

We stayed here for 7 nights as it was central to a lot of historic areas (presidential homes and battlefields), wineries, and other locations we wanted to visit. The presidential and deluxe sites are some of the nicest RV sites we have ever used! There is an older section down by the lake with smaller gravel sites in the woods as well. As others have mentioned, the checking process can be confusing. There are plenty of activities on the resort for kids and families. We will definitely visit this resort again. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for two nights with Coast 2 Coast, and wish our stay was longer. Beautiful Resort, and it is definitely a resort! Our site was big rig friendly, with full concrete pad and driveway, gas grill, and outdoor kitchen, and trek patio furniture. Some sites also had hot tubs. The grounds are very nice, and well taken care of. Lots of things to do and see. Horse stables and rides, carriages, putt-putt, several hot tubs and a large swimming pool. Use of laundry washer and dryers were FREE! Great place for kids. Very friendly staff and 24-hour security gate. Loved the little town of Gordonsville. We would definetely stay here again. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow.....really nice resort. Came into this BlueGreen property with Coast to Coast. (I guess that is why we got their forested area rather than concrete patio area.). Turns out our site was great with more space than the deluxe sites. Several full-time campers in the forest area but it is peaceful and lots of shade. Sites are a little more challenging for "big rigs" but we made it just fine. Back in sites with full hookups plus cable. No fee do a really sweet deal. Really nice grounds with a lot of things to do and see. Horse stables and rides, carriages, putt-putt, several hot tubs and a large swimming pool. Great place for kids. Very friendly staff and 24-hour security gate. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

It is a beautiful location but check in is confusing. Guard gate gives you a poor quality copy of a map with spot circled and sends you on your way. After disconnect you go forever looking for the place to pay. And checkin-- discover you check in at The Lodge Hotel. They try and get you to go to a presentation on the property which we did not do-- neighbor at site came over before we checked in and told us it was the longest couple hours of his life and they had little to offer an RVer. The site is the worst we have EVER experienced in our years of camping. We have a 45 foot fifth wheel and the site had a minimum of a 5 degree slant BOTH front to back as well as the passenger side going downhill. The wheels would not touch the ground after leveling PLUS we had to use 4 stacked jack pads on each of the passenger side jacks. We finally ended up going to LOWES purchasing wood blocks to go under the wheels on the passenger side to support the coach. The sites are so narrow the awning on the living room slide could not be used-- trees in the way. There is a sink, grill, and furniture on the patio. The sink cabinet doors were hanging on due to lack of maintenance, the grill had NEVER been cleaned and we refused to eat anything that would have been cooked on it. The sewer plug was off and the sewer had filled with leaves that had to be cleaned out before we could hook it up. Again, the maintenance is lacking. Everyone around us had the same leveling issues and it was the talk of the park even among the owners. You can tell the RV park was a definite after thought to the resort-- someone who has never RV'd designed the pads. After the set up and leveling issues were overcome, it was an OK place to stay. We would not stay here again -- too much work to get set up. We had to park our truck at an angle to get it on the site. Not the ideal situation.

Office staff knows nothing about RV's-- they even told me that. They were not helpful and could not understand when you talked with them about the unlevel sites. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Even without the Coast to Coast discount this was an amazing resort. Everything worked and was well maintained, sites were concrete, fairly level, and had patio furniture and gas grill. Even good wifi! The grounds were beautiful for hiking and you are close to Charlottesville and all the historical sites. Will definitely stay again. We ended up here due to Charlottesville RV parks being busy in late Sept - that was a shock. We arrived in our 40' MH on a Thursday. Check-in was very confusing - you go see the guard at the gate who doesn't know where to send you to check in (lodge or preview bldg); then go to your site and hookup and then wander around finding out how to pay. This is part of a time share called Bluegreen Vacations so you pay but are then sent to another counter where they offered to give us gifts if we looked at what they had to offer. We guess that 2 hrs was worth it. BUT starting Friday the hordes arrived (we assume BG owners as many seemed to know each other) who were extremely loud & obnoxious. We had to call the guard twice that night to get them to come over (1st guard didn't seem to care and 2nd one finally did something at midnight) to get some sleep. They had a grill on the site but no propane so was unusable. Overall property seemed nice but it was all spoiled by the inconsiderate other campers. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful large facility including campsites, vacation homes, yurts, extensive recreation facilities, time share type resort. Website not intuitive for camping. All paved spaces, well landscaped, but many are not level. Ask for a reasonably level site! Some deluxe sites include a hot tub! Ours had a gas grill and high quality patio furniture. Guard at gate not very good with directions to site. Map not very readable--poor copy. A site escort would have been welcome. We would happily return. This was our first visit - found on Internet because we needed a place to stay close to Louisa (was attending a concert there). We stayed in a back-in site: large, paved, private (this time of year the campground was not full). Pros: large sites with gas grills, utensils, and tables and chairs. Cons: bathroom in bath-house was not clean (ladies). I reported this and it was taken care of (pro). Kids on golf carts seemed to rule the place - this was the only major complaint. They were reckless and unsupervised. Lots of places to walk, beautiful setting. Would recommend and go again. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Such a beautiful park. BBQ with propane included. BBQ utensils. Outdoor sink with electric outlet on the side of the cabinet. Wide, wide, long, long sites. Real table and chairs of some type of polyfiber. Two pools. Two spas. Activities for kids. This is the first site in nearly 2 years where we did not have to look directly at our neighbors hook-ups. This is pricey, but every now and then we treat ourselves. Great place. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

97 degrees and no shade! There weren't any trees around and we had asked for a site with shade. It was an unlevel, cement slab. There was a grill and a table with 4 chairs.

We have been camping here for ten years. In those years we have seen the new campsites, yurts and some cabins built as well as the general store and two pools.

Many of the reviewers have mentioned coming into the park in the dark. Just don't do it. It is true, in the dark the road signs are hard to read. Easy to do in daylight.

Poor internet is the biggest drawback to this park but using our booster works well.

We have often told other RVers that this is one of our favorite parks ever as a family who has camped for 30 years. What we have seen during our July 2016 stay is that cut corners in service and maintenance are showing. I still recommend staying for the large, well-equipped sites, the views and the amenities.
