This is a great place to stop for a overnight (or two) if you are taking a break as you travel I-81. We stopped on our way from PA to SC. It was our first time. The campground is up behind the truck stop plaza. There is an IHOP there as well. We are self-contained, but I always make it a point to check out the shower facilities. They are a bit dated, but clean, and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. We have a 41 ft 5th wheel and had no problems. Check-in was very easy, as I had made a reservation and paid online. Very courteous staff. They asked if we had stayed before. We will use this now as our stopover all the time on our way along I-81. I recommend it without hesitation. I liked that the IHOP was there, too, as being tired from the drive, it was handy to have that as an option for meals. Sites are close, but really everyone is just there to get a rest, so no issues; very quiet. Nice value to have 50 amp and full hook-up for the low price. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We disconnected our truck and I drove it down the hill to the IHOP to get dinner to bring back to the RV. This also allowed me to fill up my truck with diesel at the "regular non-tractor trailer" pumps at the front of the plaza, so we'd be ready to go in the morning without having to go through the big rig fuel lanes.

This is a great place for overnight or a few nights while sightseeing. Best price we found for FHU pull-through. Restaurant and conveniences on site at the travel center. Yes, some truck noise, but no more than other CGs where we close to a highway. Gravel sites did need a few blocks to level, but plenty long to stay hooked to toad. Check-in at the Travel Center Fuel Desk. Friendly service. Pull in to the far tight on the IHop side at the Truck Entrance and you will be in the right direction to drive on down to the CG. Overnite sites are easy to get to, but watch out for the first turn...it is a left then almost immediate left again, before you pass the dump station/bathhouse. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

They have about 7-8 pull thrus and numerous back in's. We decided on dry camp is huge parking lot. NO FEE FOR DRY CAMPING. The truckers stay here as well. Since we ran our generator all night, their generator noise wasn't an issue. There is a truck service center should you need help. A great rest area! Definya "do-over"! Stayed for a month & half. Although located behind large truck stop and near I-81 the noise level was very low and not a bother. Lots of grass for walking our dog. Pull thru sites limited but packed gravel and level. Back in sites the same. Some monthly's but not cluttered & clean. Lexington just a short drive into town for restaurants and a Walmart super center less than 3-4 miles away. Quick and easy access to I-81 as well. In the 15 yrs of rv-ing this park is well worth the stop and I would stay again. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

Our 3rd visit to Lee Hi. 50 amp, FHU, pull-through site was just fine. Approx. 20 OTA TV signals, WIFI worked fairly well. We find this stop very convenient to our travels between PA and NC since it is approx. half way and it is easy on/off I-81. Staff is always friendly and helpful whenever we have stopped by. Campground is above the truck parking lot on a hill. There is some noise from idling trucks which continues throughout the day and night but if you're using your A/C you may not notice it at all. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

As said previously the campground is behind the Travel Plaza. Check in is at the fuel desk. My husband filled up while I checked in. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's not obvious how to get to the park even with directions we of course went the wrong way. So facing the travel center from the pumps you want to go around the left side of the building past all the trucks. We had the last pull through in the row (47) next to the exit road. We didn't want to unhook the tow but the turn to get on the road was so tight we couldn't do it without unhooking. Spot was not level so we weren't quite level but good enough for one night. Plenty of grass for the dog. No frills but fine for a stopover. There is an IHOP at the Travel Plaza. Noise from the idling trucks at the plaza was not an issue. Hookups were towards the front but we reached them without a problem. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient to I-81. The campground is part of the truck stop and the signage does not help you if you're new to the place. Check in is at the "fuel desk" inside the truck stop. The campground is at the far south side of the truck stop up on a hill. There is some noise from all the trucks idling at night but not enough to keep us awake. 50 amp, FHU, pull-through site was fine. 20 OTA TV channels available, WIFI worked well while we were here. This is our 2nd stop here and an IHOP restaurant has been added to the truck stop. Staff here has always been very friendly and helpful. We would return in the future. This is located behind a large Travel Center and was adequate for a one night stop. The sites are located a few hundred yards behind large overnight truck stop and was full. That said, truck noise was minimal. Our initial security concerns were unfounded. There is a gas station and IHOP on site. We could not level on our site and hookups required full length of electrical cable. Sewer run was long and we did not hookup. If visiting Blue Ridge Parkway or Lexington for a few days, we would flook elsewhere. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a couple of days while visiting attractions in the area. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of greenery (grass and trees) in the campground. Pull through sites are quite long and easy to get into. There are some permanent campers in the park and some of their rigs are in pretty bad shape, but the outsides of these sites are well-kept and uncluttered. Truck noise is really not an issue as the trucks parking area isn't in the camping area. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice overnight camp site at the Travel Center of America truck stop right off I-81 North...it was level site FHP...no cable, but we didn't have any problem with our antenna on rig. Easy pull thru, right behind truck stop and into the campground area ...we did not hear any noises from the truck during the night. We would stay again when traveling. Bath house dated but clean. Nice pull-through site on lower tier. Fairly level, but just beyond the ability of my auto-levelers. Since the front was low, would have had to chock the wheels and raise the rear off the ground a little to get absolutely level. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

Having read other reviews we were leery of stopping here but were pleasantly surprised. Although this campground is part of a huge truck stop we were far enough away that we did not hear the trucks down below and our location was basically quiet even though just off the interstate. We had a 30amp, FHU pull through site which was just fine for an overnight stop and we would return in the future. Girl at the "fuel desk" (which is where you check in) was very friendly and helpful. The only thing this place needs is a sign out front stating that the campground is there, currently you have to guess that it might be behind the truck entrance. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a truck stop campground. It gets noisy when the truck lot fills. The interstate is right next to it so that's noisy too.

We were on a pull through site (14) with full hookups. The site was narrow and not level. Exiting the park was a puzzle. We drove around looking for the way out.

This place is a last resort stop when nothing else is available. We would not stay there again. Over priced poor value. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a barebones campground on the hill behind a truck stop. There are multiple sites - pull thru and back in. The pull thrus are full hookup, not sure about the back ins. The shower building is concrete block and is not anything fancy but is utilitarian. It's a great place to stop for overnight or for a few days while visiting the area. If you are hungry, there is a full service restaurant at the foot of the hill and the food is great (of course - it's a truck stop and you know they say to look for the trucks when you are looking for a place to eat). They do take reservations but usually have space if you just stop in passing through. There is a fair amount of truck noise as most of the overnight trucks keep their engines running, but it is not bothersome. We would stay again. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

It is easy on/off interstate but beware, you are staying a football field length from a truck stop where you will go to bed hearing idling trucks and wake up to idling trucks. The upper level gets the interstate noise. The wifi worked well until truck parking lot filled then it slowed. Put tv antenna up and pulled in only 3 stations with lousy reception so forgot about it. Half the camping slots seem to be filled with permanent residents. The middle tier has 6 camping slots in a 1/4 moon shape and only 2 could accommodate a large rig towing or fifth wheel with the rest too small to allow turning around to exit. Our take is the owners used the land the only way they could, turn it into a 3 tier campground. This is the second time we camped here and the last. For $37 with discount it is overpriced and in December we will camp in another campground when we head south. We camped at Lee Hi Campground in a Motorhome.
