Sites can be tight depending on where parked, some are well shaded and some are full sun. No noise was heard from nearby I-81 over the hill. Power, sewer and water connections are well located and were good. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient to I-81 and easy access to sites through some paved but mostly gravel roads. Some treed, some open sites with one area with cement pads. Sheep meadow on hill to the one side, cattle in meadow to other side. Utility connections were handy, very good water pressure, good campground wifi with very good Verizon 4G LTE signal. Attractive, clean, low-cost laundry. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with a huge pasture of sheep and cows around it. We remember this park for the cow that was wearing long black sox (so it looked!) Nice big area with bridges over the pond to have a walk. No dog park but the dog sure enjoyed the cows and sheep. Easy to find off the highway. Very nice open feeling to this park. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant setting right off interstate. There was a sheep pasture on one side and a cow pasture on another. The sites were mostly pullthroughs, relatively narrow, and gravel. Front office staff very friendly and check-in was flawless. The three nights we were there, they were full. Seems as if this is a good stopover for snowbirds traveling south. Would highly recommend making a reservation if traveling in October. Our first site was situated whereby we had to back out because a tree was located so closely to the front left of our site making it impossible to exit going forward. Would come back again for a one-night layover. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were here for only one night. A bit pricey for our liking. We did have a pull thru. They do have free cable available, and we needed it. So many trees that we could not get any satellite reception.
We were parked in Site #1. WIFI was excellent at this site. We would never take Site #1 again. Every RV that pulls in had to stop in front of our site. The noise was not good at all. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park for an overnight, stopping by type of place. Not highly scenic but fine. People were very nice and everything was very easy to pull in and out of in our 5th wheel. No grills but a picnic table. Good walking areas for dogs. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just off of the interstate, quite clean park nestled between 2 hills. Some sites have trees with gravel pads, but I stayed in the newer section with level concrete pads but no trees. Staff was friendly during check-in, but no one showed us to our site or checked with us during the week we stayed there. Water, electricity, and cable was all good but the wifi was spotty at best. Enjoyed the stay and will be back when visiting family again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night and found it to be satisfactory. Sites were grassy and ours was a slightly unlevel but not enough to be a problem. Host was very friendly and helpful; wifi was satisfactory. Convenient to the interstate, but far enough away to have no noise. Beautiful setting, surrounded by pasture land. We would not hesitate to stay at this campground again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in on our travels. Wide, level gravel sites. Very helpful people on the desk. Excellent wifi. We didn't use the facilities, but if they are as clean as the rest of the park, they were spotless. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Older park with sites in the trees or open. The WiFi worked well and the site was level and all services worked. An excellent stop if running the I 81 corridor. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park has some very nice shaded, large sites in one section. Was placed in another, open area with much tighter sites in an earlier visit and SPECIFICALLY asked to reserve a site in the shaded area when I called for 2 site reservations more than 3 months in advance. Advised it would be no problem although they won't assign you a specific site when you make the reservation. The other member of our party came in a night early (Thursday). He was assigned a site in the area I specifically told the lady taking the reservation that I did not want. Said the girl in the office never even looked at his reservation. When we arrived on Friday, the office staff was not a bit nice about screwing up the reservation - told me they "couldn't guarantee a specific site". Yet people coming in off the highway for a quick 1 night stay got some of the nicest spots while someone making reservations 3 months in advance got a raw deal. The site was narrow and the grass had not been mowed. I don't think this facility owns a weed eater because the seasonal sites were all grown up around the campers. The pond was covered in green scum. Never saw anyone checking to see if sites were open and there appeared to be no rhyme or reason as to what size camper got what spot. Very dissatisfied and will never be back. Office staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Didn't seem to care. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our brief stay in this campground. The sites are spacious and the campground is not too large. We only spent one night but were very comfortable. It was a warm day and the site was comfortably shaded. The campground was clean and in excellent repair. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Park entrance is not far from interstate, but the eastbound exit intersection is confusion corner. Lots of roads going different directions, so you have to make some snap judgements quickly. I followed the GPS, and it was accurate, for once. The clerk at the RV park had also given me directions on the phone, so the two combined helped. Call to get directions.

Speed bumps that dot the main entrance road into the park were the "shake everything in the coach type." I can never understand why park owners do this to their guests.

No escort to site after check-in so when we arrived at our site, another RV was already there. This required a walk in the rain to get another site assignment. Young man at desk didn't seem overly concerned or apologetic that I was inconvenienced and soaking wet.

Our gravel site was wide enough and level. Some grass in between and some shade. There were also concrete sites without shade. Hookups were well placed and worked well. Cable had all the best channels. Wi-Fi worked until campground filled up on the weekend and then connection was screeching halt. I didn't check out the pool, restrooms, or laundry, but they were available.

This isn't the most attractive campground, but it's good for several days, especially if you are out seeing the sights in area. Lots of graveyard junk in the storage row behind us. Campground seemed to be at capacity on the weekend, so book in advance. We'd stay again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.
