Long gravel pull through. Most are level. Close to interstate. Good stop over. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

About a mile off I-81, so there is some traffic noise from the highway, but not noticeable in the coach with a/c running. A good overnight stop when traveling north or south on 81. Easy to get to from the highway, all utilities worked great. WiFi was excellent! Gravel roads and sites with some grass. There is a very small pool and a bathhouse/laundry. Our site was long enough that we did not have to disconnect our tow vehicle, saving time in the morning. Would stop here again if passing through the area. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful campground for families with children because there is a wonderful creek that runs alongside the campground for tubing or just playing in the water. Lots of green space, small fishing pond. WiFi was bad. We have Verizon, but the phone service was almost non existent. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This was a Friday over night in June 2018. VA HWY 81- Exit 269 and a mile or so on Caverns Road turning on Industrial Park Road. Check in was at their Campground Office/General Store/Snack Shop. It housed a cool assortment of items. I did see a propane refill area in front of the store. The campground roads and sites were gravel. Our site (P-3) was level; FHUs included 50 amp/30Amp services, cable connection, picnic table and a grassy area between the sites. The campground offered many amenities and was pet friendly. The campground is the first property on Industrial Park Road and Highway 81 passes parallel with the back side of the property. Our site was at the front of the campground and the highway noise was surprising low. I never saw a heavy presence of trucks or vehicles headed down Industrial Road. Shenandoah Caverns is just around the corner from the campground. We would stay here again. We camped in our 33 ft. Fifth Wheel, $46.44 with our Good Sams discount. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground was a great base camp for the Mount Jackson, New Market and Luray areas. Fuel was competitively priced at the gas station inbetween the ramps. Made it incredibly easy to fill up that evening and pull out early the next morning.

Very nice campground. Owners are very friendly. Sites are able to have big rigs to pull through with no problem. The only thing is there is noise from the nearby interstate. Not enough that you could not go to sleep or be outside sitting around the campsite and not be able to hear the person next to you. You do hear the noise of the interstate, just not overpowering. If back in this area again, would come back. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

We only stayed 1 night but a very nice stopover on our way south. Very easy to get in and out of, sites were large and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites were gravel and clean. The only downside was this campground is near interstate 81 and the road noise from the interstate was noticeable. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Shenandoah Valley is a regular overnight stop for us on our way south or north on I-81. The staff at check-in are always friendly and helpful, and the sites are fairly spacious and the roads are easy to navigate. The utilities are well placed, and our pull-through site was easily long enough for our coach and toad. We didn't use the free WiFi or cable, although both have work reasonably well in the past. We had good AT&T and Verizon cell service, and all sites have a good satellite view. There is some road noise from the nearby Interstate, but we didn't find it intrusive for sleeping. We will definitely be back again! We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

I really think that the ones who gave this park a bad review are expecting too much. If you are going camping and still want ALL the luxuries of home, then buy a coach that has it all. this park is a great place to go and get some peace and quiet. the staff is great and helpful. They will do what they can to make your stay as best as it can be. The wifi is sporadic but if your camping, why do you need it? Disconnect folks and enjoy the great outdoors. Some of the sites are not as level as some would like, but that is something to expect at most parks. It is a tight fit to drive through the park with a big rig. The road to the park is a narrow winding road. It is a state road and not a park road. We've been here twice and will be there again. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Spent the night on our way to Asheville. Easy access to I 81 as previously posted. Pool looked inviting, but did not use. Check in was painless, easy, owner was very friendly. We stayed in P4, fairly level, no issues with FHUs, or road noise since we were on AC during the night. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Highlight of the stop was the Shenandoah Caverns right across the street, worth making the stop. After the guided tour of the Caverns, we had lunch in the restaurant, very good, then went over to Route 11 chips for a quick stop and free samples.

Overall Rating:

CG is easy access from I-81 with crushed stone roads and sites. We were able to get in and around the campground with our 45ft MH and tow. Sites are long but almost each site has a slant front to back, some more severe than others. We moved around a bit on our site to find the best spot but still had one wheel just barely touching when we put the jacks down. Utilities are well placed and work well. We did not try the cable but WiFi worked pretty well for gentle internet surfing and email. Most sites are in the open making satellite and OTA reception good. The campground is located right next to the highway so there is road noise. We were using our A/C so it was not a problem for us. Did not use the restrooms or laundry so cannot comment on that. The location is very pretty and the owner/staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Good Sam discount for one night stay at a long pull through, FHU, 50amp, gravel site. Most of the sites have a slight slope to them. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception and good DishTV reception. The park is convenient to Interstate 81 and does have some road noise. The rate is high for an overnight stay, but we would stay again based on the convenient location. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.
