Older campground with gravel sites. While sites in "40's" are big rig accessible, they are heavily shaded making satellite reception difficult. Leveling was a challenge. We moved to the "Premium" site that had a paver stone patio, picnic table, level and fire pit overlooking a pond that could use aeration. Showers, laundry, etc were located in the main office building (might be a long walk for some) and we didn't use them. No Wifi nor CATV were available. OTA was limited. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed over Labor Day weekend,Park was totally full we had to take a premium site over looking the large pond.Site was large with paved patio. Park had a lot of activities going on while there but we didn't partake in any as there to visit family. We really liked this park and would stay again. Sign at entrance of park is not very noticeable keep an eye out and watch for the camping sign. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a well maintained campground and perfect if you want a quiet visit. We enjoyed the country view although I would highly recommend they install fountains in their two huge ponds. Not just for beauty but because it will circulate the water so it doesn't look muddy all the time and keeps mosquitoes down. Our only criticism is that there is only ONE trash collection center. We have never been to a campground that doesn't have trash cans scattered throughout the grounds. We had to walk about 2-3 BLOCKS just to take trash. There was no mention of leaving it at the end of your site for pick up. Clearly they are making this easy for them and not us. They also do not guide you into your space which is unusual but I can get over that. The trees on some of the sites are close to the pad. Pay attention before you open awnings. It's cleanliness and quietness make up for this. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV pads and park is extremely well kept and clean. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The facilities are full of antiques and memorabilia and you can tell the owners have pride in there park. The hall is huge and can hold huge parties and the meeting/dining room easily holds 40 people seated at tables. The store is well stocked with almost anything you might need. My only desire for improvements is they need to add WIFI AND Cable at the sites. WiFi is available in the store only. You can still get good over air tv stations via antenna. This is a very nice park and we will be back. We camped in a 36 ft Motorhome. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy to access campsite and campground. Very helpful/friendly front desk personnel. Quiet, well-shaded, level site. Gravel roads within the campground. Campground is about 15 miles W of the intersection of Route 522 South and VA Route 60. We camped for an overnight while visiting friends in Richmond. Was a very quiet campground even though there was a lot of traveling workers. Owners and staff very helpful. Had and issue with my camper and they stayed open late to make sure I had everything needed to get set up. The only downfall is there wasn't any fish in the ponds. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I wanted to share important information to anyone considering this campground. As a positive, the sites are a good size, the views are nice, and the playground is shaded. It's important to remember that the WiFi that they say they have is only available inside the camping store which is away from any actual site. So you might as well say there is no WiFi. The pool is nice and even partly shaded in the afternoons, but expect to carry your camping chairs with you, as there is not a single chair available to sit in by the pool, which I thought was very odd. The bathhouse has 2 toilets and two showers, which were clean but no normal sized human can fit in the toilet stall with the door closed, so be willing to use it with the door open for people to see you. Our site had a brick pad so there was no need for our rug which was nice, but there was quite a bit of mud on one side and I noticed that most all of the sites had the same run off problem. I think they could very easily make some changes that would better please their customers in the future, so I hope they will. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had an extended stay at Cozy Acres while moving between Blacksburg and Chesterfield. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. No loud parties or no rude neighbors, everyone we met were friendly. At 10:00 PM the place was quiet and peaceful. The only downside was the Wi-Fi service, which was only available near the office. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We drove all day from Pennsylvania to get to this place west of Richmond, VA because the comments were good on various websites. We don't select RV parks based on amenities like fishing, swimming, and photos of kids eating ice cream. Our most important criteria is the condition and positioning of the pad we request and are assigned. Here we requested a site clear of trees so our satellite dish would work and were assured from the site we were assigned that it would. Not so. The trees were too dense and too tall. Perhaps once upon a time when the trees were smaller satellite reception was possible, but not now. There were plenty of open pads and I suppose we could of have moved around until we found one with a clear view to the SW, but it had been a long day.

The roads are all dusty gravel and the pads dirt. The pads once had gravel but it is long gone, and all pads we saw would be gooey mud in rain or even days after rain. Our pad was dry, but there was evidence that it had flooded recently.

On the positive, the staff was friendly and the place clean and green. We intended to stay 2-3 days, but given the condition of the park we left the next morning. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We were really looking for a site in Shenandoah National Park but everything was full. This was the only site we could find anywhere around for Memorial Day weekend. It seemed that there were a lot of groups here and we were just a single family. I guess if you were in one of the "groups" it would be great. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is more set up as a long term summer camp that families have been going to for years There are year round spots but they are well maintained and landscaped. The bathrooms were clean but the women's toilets were unuseable. It was physically impossible to go into the stall and close the door and sit. There was not enough door clearance. This is a gated park and they give you rfid card upon arrival. There is a $25 charge if it is not returned. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great family run campground. Nicely maintained and the people are very friendly and helpful who run it. The sites and campground appear to be well maintained with wide driveways that are easy to navigate. The camp office/store is an interesting place with collections from the owner - including a vintage Ford Pinto automobile.

Cozy Acres is big enough to be fun but not too big. Went for their Halloween weekend. It was great! We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 1 Month. (550.00+elec). This place is a Campground. Not a trailer park/mobile home park or RV resort. Its a true blue campground. Only a few monthly spots and separate section for seasonal RVs. The pool is large but older. Camp store is well stocked, bath house is clean. Didn't get a chance to eat at the grill but they do have one. Play ground for kids is decent but older. Nice rec hall/ club house. They also have 3 ponds for fishing. Sites are somewhat level and fairly close to one another. Everything is ROCK. Roads, sites, etc. There are green areas for kids to play though. WiFi is only available in the store and they give time limits for use. My biggest complaint was feeling nickel and dimed to death. Extra cost for gate card, extra cost for using CC. Extra cost for fishing pond. Extra cost for sending a FAX. The list goes on. Also the laundry needed upgrading. took 3 cycles to dry 3 towels. Overall it is a Nice family Campground and we may have stayed longer but it was 50minute drive for work. I do recommend it for family CAMPING, as they do involve the kids on holiday weekends. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We decided to go here on the way to our river rafting trip. I'm glad we did! We have found another beautiful campground. The campground doesn't offer a lot of activities for the kids. However if you want a place to sit back and read a book, this is it. We arrived on a Saturday. There were a few campers there. Sunday came and most of the left. We had the whole campground to ourself. There was probably only 10 campers there. We will go back again. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice little family-run park. They were scrambling to clean up after a big storm hit a day or so before we arrived, with lots of downed trees and limbs, and washed-out roads and spaces. If coming from the south, don't trust your mapping software, or else you'll end up taking the extreme "scenic route." You want to come in on US-60 to the north, and then head south on SR-627 Ridge Rd. to the site.

They have a really nice office with a little snack bar area (closed when we were there), which has a separate room with a pool table and more. Also, kids will enjoy all of the playground equipment, and there are two ponds on the property, plus a really nice pool. This park is out in the woods, so you'll have a good night's sleep (unless severe thunderstorms - the rule vs. the exception during our stay - happen to hit).

We'd easily stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

If you go into nearby Powhatan, be sure to visit Mabel's Espresso and Bakery Cafe. Great coffee, baked goods and speedy WiFi. This was a great location for us to visit some of the Civil War battlefields and historic sights.
