This is a small campground in Jefferson National Forest. It is fine for hiking, trout fishing, or just to relax, not much else around. Our rate was with the Senior Pass. Our site, as was most, was unlevel in both directions, I used two complete sets of Lynx leveler blocks, (20 blocks) & still never got level. Ours was in partial shade, & grassy, with electric and water hookups. Wi-Fi is available in the electric sites, and it was not very strong, but that was fine by me. The host was friendly and helpful. The electric sites back up to Route 16, which is much busier & noisier than I would have thought. This is obviously an older campground, as evidenced by the obvious lack of emphasis by the Forest Service, I assume because of the small size. The bathrooms were relatively clean, but need remodeling. There are NO showers, the nearest are 5.5 miles away at Hurricane campground, which requires an entry fee, plus $2.00 per person per shower. The streams at the rear of the campground are a nice touch. I doubt we would stay here again, with nicer, bigger campground just a little ways down the road. We camped at Raccoon Branch Campground in a Motorhome.
