Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center has camps for children and provides space for groups to worship, and for anyone to have a time of retreat and relaxation. While this is true, the campground is open to all and you may come and go as you like. The campground is separated from the area where the children are playing while at camp and is very quiet. There is a pool on site that is open to those camping there. The campground is very wooded and nice. The sites are not large, but are separated nicely from each other. We drove at least 20 minutes to get to Historic Willaimsburg, but did not mind being out of the tangle of roads around the more tourist oriented area. The people at Williamsburg Retreat Center are VERY helpful. We ran late arriving and they called us to make sure we knew where to find the papers with instructions, campsite information, and helpful phone numbers upon our arrival. They also shared with us very helpful information concerning visiting Williamsburg and the other attractions. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is a separate section of the Christian Retreat. From the paved Barnes Road, you follow a winding compacted, well-maintained gravel road about 1/4 mile long to the camp office. Friendly staff. The RV campsite is a circular campground with a bath house in the center. There is a forest of 75-100' trees all around. Very quiet. All sites are back-ins but the road is wide enough to do so. Site #9 is the only one with 50A - all the others are 30A. Plenty of large wide open space to walk. No CATV but some OTA channels 45+ miles away. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Great, but small 22 spot CG located on a 300 acre Christian Retreat. Through the week there was little activity and we are afforded the use of all of the recreational things they offer. Road to main entrance is a little narrow and "windy" for big rigs. All sites are on a single loop in thick woods; the bath house is in the center. Full hookups, picnic table and a fire ring on a concrete pad. Four sites looked permanent. Firewood was $5 for a wheelbarrow load. Overall a slightly rustic place, but well worth it. We will be back ! We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Travel Trailer.

This was a perfect place to explore the Williamsburg area. The level site was large and wooded and drained well during our four days of drizzle and downpours. We were advised when we checked in that the 50 amp service was not working correctly, however we had no problems. The water pressure did seem low and erratic flow but this may have been due to an older filter on our unit. The sewer was located conveniently. Each site had a covered shed for firewood which was provided free. There was also a bench and a flattened gravelled area around the fire pit. The area was very busy over the weekend as there were multiple Retreats occurring in the cabins and Central areas of the park, but it remained quiet. OTA television was fairly good considering the weather and we had adequate Verizon and Sprint service . The office staff was very helpful. we would definitely stay here again if we were in this area. Tips for other Campers:

Colonial Williamsburg was a definite treat and well worth the entrance fee. The ranger tour and archaeology tour at the National Park section of Jamestown is also a must. We had an excellent breakfast at Honey Butter's which was just a few miles up the road.

Excellent park for a quick overnight or longer stay. Not able to utilize the park much due to the quick turnaround but service, check in, cleanliness and location was superb. Very handy to Williamsburg and Jamestown. Would recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Third review of this campground. It is pretty much the same as our visit in July, except they have now upgraded the wifi to cover the campground. It seemed to work well from the site.

Everything else said before still applies, nice, quiet little campground, very friendly people, not too far from Williamsburg, overall an excellent place to stay. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Travel Trailer.

They have a large spacious grounds. There are 23 sites in a nice wooded area, all with elec.,water & sewer plus internet access from site. Sites are about 30 ft. apart. It is a very well maintained area & bath house. Williamsburg is about 15 miles away. But jumping on rt. 64 with a 70 mph speed limit, you are there fairly quickly. This is a hidden gem . They also have a nice pool & play area for children. Quiet, clean & excellent staff. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 3 night in the campground. It was a beautiful site. There were lots of trees; total shade. It was a very peaceful place to stay. There was even wood at our campsite ready for a fire. There was more wood available and we didn't hasbe to pay for it. The ladies in the office were very friendly and helpful. We were close to Colonial Williamsburg and spent most of our days there. I would stay here again. It was probably one of the best campground we have ever stayed in. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Travel Trailer.

My second review of this campground. Still a great campground and the best deal in the Williamsburg area. The bathrooms were fairly clean but needed some updating. Site was not real level, nicely shaded though, water and electric were in good working order. Lots to do both on site and in the area. We will return here. Great place to stay. Large clean pool/spa, trails to hike, sporting areas for groups, very clean bathrooms/showers. The only bad is the thick tree cover, hard to get satellite reception. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Motorhome.

There are only 23 spots, All back-in and are spacious and easy to maneuver. The camping section is shaded throughout. The water, sewer, and electric hook ups are easy access with most of the sights being level. Showers & baths are clean with plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Things to consider are no camp store, Internet is accessible at the Center which is nice and has very good reception. Primarily a retreat, but have lots of things for children including a nice pool. The sites we liked were 12,13,14,21,23. The campground is about twenty minutes to Williamsburg. Our RV is 28' long. We plan on returning. Very nice little campground. It is a Christian Retreat Center with some planned activities, a nice activity center (where you can connect to Wifi, none at the sites), hiking trails, disk golf, a large outdoor pavilion, and a fair sized swimming pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are wooded and nicely spaced, with a bath house in the middle of the single loop along with a small pavilion, a playground and firewood available on an honor system. All sites are back in. Electric was good, did not hook up to the water. The bath house was nicely laid out and very clean. Rate reflects PA rate, which is good for two nights, any night but Friday. We were pleasantly surprised by this campground. It is situated in a Christian Retreat Center that is located in a beautiful and quiet area about 3 miles off the Interstate. They have a section for RV campers with 30 amp/sewer/water hookups in a treed section (about 20 sites in all) with the toilet and showers located in the center. The showers and restrooms were very clean and not new but nice. It gets busy there on the weekends because they have groups come, but we weren't bothered by the activity because it is in another section away from where we were parked. They have WiFi only in the main office/dining room area. The staff is super friendly and nice, and we had a very nice 9 day stay there. Also add they had a very BIG swimming pool with a diving board. Could be busy in summer with groups there, but we were here in middle of Sept so wasn't busy during week. Very easy access to park our unit and driving to Interstate to visit historic Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, etc. We camped at Colonial Pines Campground at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in a Motorhome.
