This camp ground is simply OK for RVers ... mainly for full timers. They have the best sites on the river front. Landscaped nice. Not much to do unless you own a boat. The pool was nasty. My child got double ear infection and eye infection after being in it. Seriously - it was warm bath water that was full of much sunscreen, sweat and I'm sure, pee. There was mildew on the pool walls too. I didn't let my kids stay after I assessed it. I couldn't find the posted pool water chemical reports that most have written. I never saw anyone test the waters. Anyway, despite the total pool grossness, they do run a tight ship on their rules. No one is getting away with anything. One family was asked to take down a confederate flag down. Sites are larger than the usual KOA/Jellystone ... not much on shade though. Sites are grassy which is nice. Don't think I'll miss it if I never go back. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Motorhome.

Take a vehicle to tour Williamsburg/Jamestown ... go find a beach or something... there's just not a lot to do in property.

One of the challenges of traveling for months at a time is the mandate to find somewhere (anywhere!) for summer / holiday weekends. We chose Greys Point Camp for a week over the July 4th holiday. It was everything you would expect - hot, humid, crowded, and expensive. Very Expensive. But, it is a really nice park. We ended up in a premium site with a lovely concrete pad and huge patio. It was one of the shorter sites, and to fit the 45 ft bus plus car on the site, we had to back way to the end, with the rear of the coach overhanging the grassy area. We did not realize that this put the rear of the coach within 4 ft of the adjacent campsite's firepit. Luckily for us, they refrained from having a fire, for which we were grateful, as we would have had to move. We are two retired adults, traveling with no kids and no pets. So being right next to the pool, water park, playground, and basketball courts was a special experience! But hey .... we knew it would be a madhouse there and it was! No complaints. Probably should have asked to be reassigned to a site further from the action, but the folks in the office were super nice, and super busy, and we didn't have the heart to bother them. There was plenty of bike riding in the park and the views along the river were just lovely. We were surprised that we had such marginal cellphone signal strength (Verizon) in this area, but we didn't need to stream, as the cable TV was the best we've ever seen. Overall, it was a nice spot, and we would stay here again. Maybe in the off-season though ...... We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Grey's Point for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We were very impressed about the fact that they escorted us to our site. We paid for the Super site, which was paved, nicely leveled and easy access to hookups. During the week, when you leave the campground and come back, you have to press a call button at the gatehouse to have someone open the gate to let you back in. It wasn't too bad at first, but we ran into an issue one day where nobody picked up and it went to a voicemail where the mailbox was full. Thankfully an employee was driving around and saw us and helped us to get back in. We loved that they offered golf cart rentals. We drove the golf cart down along the river each day and enjoyed the view. Overall, our experience was good and we look forward to going back again in the future. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Travel Trailer.

I have stayed at this place many times in the past and this was the last time this year and probably in long term. The workers are excellent and they do their job really well. My site Rockfish didn't drain well; when I arrived, the place was wet with water accumulation exactly where my access door was. Sunday was a rainy day and the water went over my shoes. These guys make reasonable money to properly level the sites and assure a good drainage. They advertise WFI and it is never accessible, signal is basically nothing. The water pressure is horrible and sometimes I need to remove the pressure regulator (high flow) to get some water in the shower. The place has a nice view and excellent personnel, but owner needs put more attention to details. Too much money to get my feet inside the water just to go out of my RV. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in one of their grass sites, instead of their supersites. We think the supersites are too narrow for our tastes. The only negative I have, which isn't really their fault, was that we had so much rain our site was soaked and extremely muddy. Again...not their fault.

We like it very much. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for a week. Would not give me a code for the front gate. Had to press the "call" button and ask for permission to enter every single time. Arrived on Sunday. Got to site and saw very little shade. When booking I asked if the site had shade. They said yes. It does. But only at the one end and only by a 16' tree. They were willing to move us to grass site w/ much more. Wife liked the paved site. I had about 20 cigarette butts around my site from previous user. They had cleaned up other sites on Tuesday. Would have been nice if they got to mine before 5 on Sunday. No hand dipped ice cream. Over all this is nit-picking. But one thing ticked us was the golf cart cruising Fri. Sat. Sun. nights from 5 to 10:30 some w/ music blasting, all w/ bright lights. And fast. Staff was nice, neighbors were nice. Water was nice. But what the heck is up w/ no fire rings! Not safe, only on "super sites" And those rings were like 36" dia. w/ a 12" wide wall and 14" deep, couldn't cook on them if we had them. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Pros: Clean rest room, helpful/friendly staff, paved roads, nice pool with water slides, sprinkler park for tots, activities for all, and nice playgrounds. We had a very level concrete premium site. Very quiet/peaceful park but it gets busier on weekends. Grounds and landscaping are lovely and well manicured. Cons: River swimming includes jelly fish. My kids and hubby got stung. Very small laundry room and pull cord showers. There are no A/C in bathrooms or laundry room. However, lots of retirees camp here, which would explain the peace and quiet. When we retire we would come back. Bring your bikes to get around this is a very large park. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground! Very quiet and clean in every respect. We stayed during a Harvest Weekend with music, craft fair, train rides, and ice cream social. We stayed after the prime season so pools were closed. The pull-through sites are very long and spacious. Very well manicured around asphalt pads. Employees were friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in with golf cart escort to assigned site. Will definitely return during peak season. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our site was a huge "super" site, and we were able to camp awning to awning with family on an adjoining super site. Pool area was very nice. Small beach area on the Rappahannock River was enjoyable, but difficult to get to for handicapped and elderly guests. Registration process was easy. Friendly staff. Agree with other reviewer that golf carts were out of control with many underage drivers and drinking while driving. Not enough bath houses to accommodate the size of the park. Water had a horrible "sulfur" smell. We did not notice this smell on our first visit, Memorial Day, 2012. Camp store was sparse. We rented a pontoon boat from a nearby marina and spent a day enjoying the river. This was our second visit, and we would probably visit again. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Travel Trailer.

The sites in the main area are huge and very grassy. The entire place is nice to look at. Tons to do in the area. Would get a 10 but the store is woefully understocked and the fishing pier is unusable. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Motorhome.

A GREAT park. We only stayed a week but had a wonderful stay. Sites are quite varied. There's a small marina for guests in the park. There's a washing station which was wonderful. We had just come from the Outer Banks and the RV and toad were covered with salt. All paved roads and nice level sites. Will go back on the return trip. This was our first time to the park. Their website is a little misleading. We paid for a super site. When we arrive the site was covered with cut grass. The site was small. When our awning was extended it was almost touching the unit beside us. The park is about 50% sites and 50% seasonal park models. The park models were well kept, but the golf carts were out of hand. All night long they drove around and the later the evening go the faster they went. The positives... The park is well kept for the most part. The pool area is nice and the location along the river is a nice spot. In the future I would seek a site on the main campground portion away from the seasonal sites as they appear to be larger. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Motorhome.
