Nice, new park. Gravel pull-through site was just slightly off level and widely separated from neighbors.

Great service, information folder, cable TV, Wi-Fi, campstore and onsite snack bar/grill. Lot spacing was spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel and features a picnic table. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped for one night on a holiday weekend and got one of the last few sites which happened to be full hookup. Sites are quite close to the neighbors with some trees but no underbrush so no privacy. Gravel site was level and our particular site was shorter than most but adequate for our rig. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And of course the bunnies were really cute! We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're in a small rig and don't need a hookup, check out the tent camping area. You might be able to score a site with a view of the waterfall that cascades down into the river form an opposite bluff.

Cable TV does not work with older TV even with a digital converter but no discount offered for that. Internet shut down and unable to access in AM and no one in store/on-premises we could contact to fix. While the park is lovely we feel we paid top rate fees for service we did not receive. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Lovely setting down in valley with river and waterfalls within camp grounds. Sites nothing but dirt and gravel. Lots of space to hike and walk about. Hot tubs needs to be re-conditioned as only one out of three was fully functional. Outdoor pool heated (83 degrees) and lovely. Will camp here again if passing through and needs to stop. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We called on the road to see if there was space but nobody answered the phone, nor called us back, so we decided to take a chance and drove in. It's a fairly small road from the freeway to the final part of the RV camp, and one should watch for traffic coming the other way. Also, a rather steep hill which is paved, marks the final approach to the valley. I was told there weren't any spots available long enough for us to pull through and not have to unhook our tow car, which we did. I thought the price of$43 which didn't include a sewer site was a bit high. the site was level and pretty, and very shaded, and my wife loved the most amazing thing about the RV park--the hundreds of rabbits that roam freely, and which you can feed. She calls it "bunnyville" and enjoyed the animals. There's a well stocked store there, as it's a long trip into town. We found the WiFi didn't work well, and cell service down in the valley was tough as well, so take note. We weren't able to get our dish up with Direct TV because of interference from all the trees. That morning, there was some rain, and it puddled up around the rv sites fairly quickly. I can't imagine in a heavy rain, how tough it would be with large wet areas. We stayed there in a 40 ft. motorhome. When we left, I was concerned about towing our car up the long hill, so we hooked up at the top. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

First the positives: Beautiful scenic park with wooded sites near a river. If you're an animal lover; many, many adorable tame bunnies scampering around. Would be great to camp here with a tent or small/medium travel trailer.

And now why we wouldn't return: Very long, narrow, winding road to the park with many low hanging branches lining the street. Wreaked havoc with satellite and antennas on top of coach.

Only a handful of full hookup 50 amp sites. Takes a bit to get to them with no escort on crushed stone road with many potholes/divots. Pull thru site was barely wide enough to fit 35 ft motorhome since trees took up much of the space. Length wise we could barely fit coach with tow attached. Very close to neighbors but we've seen worse. Just barely able to extend all slides again due to trees. No internet; told they were having trouble with it.

Not worth the effort it took to get here. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

My wife and I are a middle-aged couple who travel with our two dogs. We try to avoid KOAs and other similar campgrounds that have a lot of kids because we prefer solitude when camping. We never seem to be able to find a nice campground in Virginia, but this one was convenient on our way home from South Carolina so we decided to try it.

As we were trying to set up, kids kept riding their bikes and walking through our site, acting as if we weren't even there. After we finished setting up I noticed that a lot of campers used their trucks, toads, and picnic tables to try to prevent the kids coming through their sites, and we followed suit.

The internet didn't work while we were here, and our cable TV didn't work until we went to the office to complain and they sent someone out to fix it. Oh, and we had to walk to the office because no one ever answers the phone here. Of the four times we left a message with our call back number, we received one return call.

There is absolutely NO privacy in this campground - the sites are short and narrow, with nothing dividing the camping pads.

This being Virginia, you'll see all kinds of... "different" types of people here. We saw a young woman with a child in her lap riding a motortorized leather recliner around the campground (!) and another camper with their pet pig in a pen on their site (or maybe it was going to be their supper).

Oh, and there are LOTS of semi-tame rabbits running (hopping) around - we were told some bizarre story about how a camper released their pet rabbit here years ago, and since rabbits... well, you know... PROCREATE like rabbits, there has been a population explosion. So between the ill mannered kids - presumably raised by ill mannered parents - and rabbits... and barking dogs ... and being packed in like sardines...

This is one of the worst campgrounds we have ever visited, but if you have kids and don't mind a lack of privacy you'll probably like it as there are LOTS of activities. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice clean park. Easy access to I-81. No issues and no "squatters" in old RV's. Sites not very level, rain water accumulated at our door and a little traffic noise otherwise would have rated a 10. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is new. Family run, family orientated, no full time live ins. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by the owner. We paid $25 which reflects PA discount, her son escorted us to our site on a golf cart. The site is very spacious, nice grass, picnic table, 50 amps, 80 PSI of water and sewer, It is just a short hop off I-81. It is also very open to the southern skies, has views of fields and mountains in the background, so we get good satellite reception. It has a nice little salt water pool, and also a small restaurant serving breakfast , lunch and dinner, a gift shop and a few RV items, it has a beautiful public fire pit with nice swing seats around it, it also has a small open building with open sides and room for perhaps 10 picnic tables or 50+ people, they provide two horseshoe pits, a tug a war rope, bean bag toss. The camp ground has nice new small cabins which will house 6 pp each but they do not have there own baths. The public baths are new and very nice and it has a laundry room with 4 machines in it. This camp ground is "perfect for family fun."

We have a 43 foot RV and only 1 or 2 sites would get us 100% level. Perhaps another 6 or 8 get you close but you will either be slightly out of level or you will really have a big step to get into your RV. This is fine with us but is not for everyone unless you carry a step. I would rather be slightly out of level. Like I said we are close to route 81, but we do not hear it inside our RV with the windows closed and AC but you certainly hear it outdoors. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

It poured the entire time we camped - BUT - the sites were very close, they are pull-thru, but very tight. We have a 35' TT and the rear corner was hanging out on the back road, and the front of my truck was on the front road (still hooked up). The sites were a swamp, so did not drain well at all. The sewer caps were in the front of the sites, so unless you carry 50 feet of sewer hose there was no way to dump. When we left I pulled up to the dump cap and blocked the whole road while I dumped, or I would not have been able to use it. The camp store was ok. The hot tub room was very odd - it stank of a dirty mop bucket and was musty. The roads leading to the place from I-81 are narrow with some sharp turns. The pond is advertised as stocked every weekend, yet we caught no fish or got a bite. They have rabbits EVERYWHERE - which is cute, until you want to walk thru the grass and there is rabbit crap everywhere. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park should stop advertising Internet. We camped here for a week and could not pull up a web site. Got a few emails but could not open any pictures or website such as YouTube or Facebook. The park is very clean but the maintenance people speed around in golf carts and tractors all day. People walk through campsites on a regular basis to get to office or river. A few miles off the highway so no road noise. Will not stay here again. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Great family campground. Beautiful, clean rental campers. Lots of activities. There were a few issues, but they were minor and wouldn't warrant any negativity from me because the staff was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back, hopefully annually. We wanted a place to stay for a week and our trip was business-related, so all the extras for families wasn't a plus for us. It was likely worth the extra cost for families, but not in our case, so we just stayed one night. We didn't check out the whole place. The staff was friendly and the park was clean and attractive, with lots of trees and shaded sites. That was not so good for us, because we couldn't get satellite coverage and the campground's Wi-Fi was spotty. It looked like a family-friendly place, and children seemed to be having a good time. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites are hard dirt/gravel. There are lots of trees and roads are narrow. Water/electric/sewer were fine. We had to back out of our pull-through to make the turns/hills to leave. There were tons of rabbits and many more flies, which made it difficult to sit outside. The road to get to the campground is narrow and winding. The river is pretty, and our Golden Retriever enjoyed swimming and tubing the river. We will not return. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The camping sites are very close together here. The RV sites are slightly bigger, but we saw where some tent sites were in a middle row, which is basically in between two driving lanes, and they are sectioned off with wood to make a square spot for a tent. They were very small tent sites and they appeared to be directly in the middle of the road, and I would not recommend those sites to anyone. Our site number was 95 which was the second to last near the exit/entrance. The site is a pull-through site, but it is a slight incline, and we could not get our trailer to be completely level because of the incline. The campground offers activities; DJ, karaoke, etc, which is nice, and the staff seemed friendly enough. However, when we checked in, there were 6 people behind the counter, and one person was helping another customer and everyone else just was standing around or talking to each other for several minutes before they offered to assist us. We were also 'policed' several times during the weekend because of noise. The staff stopped at our site several times during the evenings during the weekend to tell us we were too loud. We were camping with a group, so I know the guys can get a little loud, but we turned off our radio when it was quiet time, as we were observing their quiet hours. One day, the staff came to us during the day, before the sun even went down to tell us we were too loud, which was ridiculous. The campground is right next to a river, which you can tube down. It is considered a lazy river, very slow, good for all ages. The campground was OK, was clean throughout, and overall decent, but because of the very small sites and the constant harassment of the noise being too loud, we will not be returning here. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
