This RV Park is a tale of two cities. The older section, which is the vast majority of the park, appears to have been designed several years if not decades ago. The sites are grass/sand, and I consider them adequate, although I did find the water pressure to be lacking (45 psi). The newer section containing the super sites had a totally different feel to it, and if we ever return to this park, this section is the only one we will accept. We were there over a holiday weekend and the place was packed. Being a beach town, the park is a hive of activity with people running around everywhere, from sun-up to the onset of quiet hours at 2300. If you need to be around a lot of people, outdoor entertainment systems, and golf carts, this is the place. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

The park's private parking area at the beach is near the south end of the boardwalk and Waterman's seafood grill. Highly recommended.

This was a large, very busy campground. Got there Saturday of 4th of July weekend and had to wait an hour just to check in. Started off on site 344 which was a very nice back-in site. Other sites in that area were small and would not have accommodated our motorhome. Had to pay extra to use the wifi and the connection was horrible. The cable TV was fuzzy. Also had to pay extra for a fire ring (REALLY?!?!??). Golf carts were everywhere and management did not enforce rules when it came to only licensed drivers operating the golf carts. Also saw more than one person drinking beer while driving them. The campground website boasts 4 pools, but only two were open at any given time while we were there. Things quieted down quite a bit after the holiday weekend and we were able to move to a supersite. This site was very nice and included a fire ring in the price. Bathrooms were filthy and I was thankful that I didn't have to use them. We liked the location of this park - close enough to everything but not in the crazy downtown area. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

We thought we reserved full hook-up but they gave us W/E only. When we went back to the office and stated that it was not FHU, they apologized and moved us to a FHU site, for $18 more. Site was fairly level. WiFi is Tengo and they give you 1 hour continuous every 12 hours. Slow. Air Force base beside the park and jets were flying from early morning till late at night. It felt as if they were flying right through the RV. Every time they flew over, lost signal on TV (OTA) and WiFi. Nice enough campground for families if you don't care about WiFi, TV or jet noise. We will not camp in Virginia Beach (anywhere) again because of the noise, high cost of RV parks and lack of services. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very large campground. They have some nice long pull thru sites (at least half) that allow big rigs to stay hooked up. They have 50 Amp FHU available. The park is older but clean and tidy. ATT & Verizon work well. Plenty of clear sky for satellite set up in some locations but also lots of trees if you want. Restrooms are dated but clean. No train or Hwy noise but the jets make up for it. Some days they can be continuous from before 8AM until after 9PM. They are not just loud like on take off but are low flying in pass overs and sometimes two together. Free WiFi works for 1hr every 12 hrs. Internal roads and pads are gravel and grass except in the super site area which are paved with concrete pads and patio. Sites are well spaced at 25 feet wide. They are very convenient to Virginia Beach and have a large private car park right down town a block off the boardwalk. It was Easter and spring break and the 4 pools were all closed. A nice mini golf but they charge $3 per person to play (Come on!)
Not sure I will stay again because of the jets. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrived at 4PM on New Year's Eve expecting the worst. Check in was very busy. It looked like everyone had the same idea. Check in was friendly and fast, good directions, good info. Site was fine despite everything being soggy from all the rain. Hooked up no problem, toured the grounds, checked out the facilities...all were fine; clean and very well maintained. What is not to like. My worries about drunken reveler so were unfounded...a few yells and firecrackers but all to be expected on New Years.

Nice campground; I'll stay again. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here almost every year for the past twelve years so this review comes with some comparisons from years past. We really like the location to this campground for all the Virginia Beach activities. The campground itself has four pools and entertainment every night during the season. Check in is speedy and there is a guard at the entrance 24 hours a day. Bathrooms as we did not use them much were clean. Utilities worked well, voltage remained at 118 the twelve nights we stayed, water pressure was a little low during high demand. We stayed in site 168, this was more than enough room for our 33' class A motorhome and car. Best thing about this site is the "yard", you are not staring at another RV ten feet away from you. The dog park is great to let the pups run for a while. What we don't like are the golf carts and scooters that drive all around, most are driven by people drinking and some by kids who do not possess a driver's license. If we were to visit again we would opt for a Super Site but not on the perimeter of that area as the campground uses the grass area to store dilapidated campers. Again form staying here for a handful of years I think they need to clean up some areas of the campground and tighten up some of the rules. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

The staff was very busy when we checked in on a Thursday, early evening. Although busy checking in several people, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a super/premium site and it was well worth the extra charge. The premium sites are large, paved, have their own fire ring, and picnic table. Most of the super/premium sites have some shade. The park has four pools, one of which is in the vicinity of the super/premium sites. The park also rents bikes and golf carts. During the evening hours, people cruise around the park in golf carts. The park was pretty busy on Friday and Saturday night with children riding bikes. Although, I did not find it bothersome. The laundry facility is probably the best I have ever seen. Very clean and spacious. There is a naval base nearby and the park is right in the jet zone. The noise from the jets can be loud. Although, it did not really bother us. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

When we arrived at the campground we were treated like a number and not a person. The directions that they give you to get to your campsite are less than terrible. A park of this size should escort you to your site. The rest rooms that were near our site were locked the entire weekend. They had some kind of wine tasting and the campground was full of drunks. They were loud, rude, and had no respect for other campers. They rented golf carts that they let their children drive, pop wheelies because they had too many people on the cart. People were allowed to burn fires, but there were no fire rings on any site. They just started a fire right in the open and let it burn. This seems to be a party park more than anything else, loud people and louder dogs. When we tried to call the office to complain no one and I mean NO ONE answered the phone. When I went to the office there were people in the office waiting for an employee to show up. She did come from the back area and was not helpful at all. I will not be back to this park and will not recommend that any people that I know use this campground. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

Very large resort. Very wooded, and various pools throughout the grounds. The convenience store well stocked but very messy.
Best of all, it has a parking exclusively for residents of the resort on the beach. Phenomenal. So there was no parking problems.
Generous and fully serviced plots. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

Internal roads are paved, but in poor shape, you have to really watch for all the trees when driving in the park. Our site was dirt, not very level and fairly spacious. The facilities worked well but we had to move to a site that was satellite friendly, they don't know which ones are. Staff were friendly, park WiFi is Tengo, you get 1 hour free every 12 hours and it worked well, T-Mobile cell service was spotty. The park was quiet, but the military jets from the nearby airbase are not, at least they stop flying around 10 pm. Rate is Good Sam. We would stay here again. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a great spot backed up to the woods. Even though the area got 7" of rain in two days, the drainage ditch behind our spot flooded, but the water never reached the tires of the 5th wheel. There was a wooden deck built all around, I suspect for this very reason. The park is very big, and mostly empty. The roads need some repairs. Wi-Fi was good. Sites were level, and dog poop stations throughout the park. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was the loudest campground we have ever been to. The sheer volume of campers that are there is just overboard. The rest rooms and showers are clean but there are not nearly enough showers, my wife, and 10-year-old daughter each had to wait over an hour and 1/2. The Wi-Fi was expensive and there was no fire ring at any sites I saw. I like to cook over the fire but that was not possible. They have quiet hours but those do not apply to the owner approving that the band can play well past it (11 PM) if they enjoy the music. Despite what other post indicate, we were there Monday through Wednesday and there were bands every night. We have young kids as did many campers and going well past 11 PM is unacceptable in a “family friendly” campground. . This was like camping in a city. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on a super-site. We originally reserved a full hookup site but were put on a list for cancellations for a super site. Well one came up and they called a week before and offered it to us. We had to move to a different site our last night but we were okay with it. The super-site was very nice with a concrete pad and nice fire ring. The picnic tables were large and had nice backs on them. The showers and bathrooms were extremely modern and clean. This campground offers four pools, a fully stocked camp store, nightly entertainment at the main pool, pet friendly and shuttle service right into the campground that will take you anywhere in Virginia Beach you want to go to. An all day pass is just $2. The office offers discounted tickets to several attractions as well. It was a very enjoyable stay even though there were a few rude campers we encountered it wasn't the parks fault. We will definitely stay there again. It was worth every penny. This is a huge campground in Virginia Beach. The sites are back-in and fairly level. Electric and water are good. Hookups are easily accessible. This campground gets heavy use and the staff work hard to keep it up but the use shows. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly. They get the price due to location. They had entertainment on Saturday night. Due to the price would look elsewhere. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.
