WOW! The owners and managers have invested a lot of time and effort into upgrading this park. The power pedestals are all new and easy to see. The bathhouses are all nice, clean and new. Even on a BUSY weekend when every site was filled the bathhouses and other facilities were clean. They had lots to do for kids and adults. The staff that they hired are all super friendly and helpful. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Ok so this park is worth its value as it stands alone; the sites are decently spread apart, they do separate the "full timers" (migrant workers) from the transients, its a big park and was very empty while we were here on May 12 weekend. We were in site 611, which we had chosen on the map ahead of time. What we didn't know was this site and the others on the point had NO cable; and as an avid golfer the Players Championship was on and couldn't watch! They did offer i could move, but once you're all hooked up you really don't want to move again. Water connections are a bit odd, you have to lift off a cast grille which was flush with the ground to get at a recessed connection, bit odd and could be a hazard if not careful. The main problem of this park is its location; the address says Virginia Beach BUT you are at least a half hour south (actually close to the NC border) AND the road to get here is about 25 miles of VERY NARROW/no shoulder to peak of roads!! I am a very experienced driver with my 1 ton truck and 41' 5th wheel; but this was the most stressful stretch I have ever driven in over 50,000 miles of pulling this combo! If you're squeamish about narrow roads? Don't come down this stretch to this park. Having said all this I wont penalize the park in my review of the road. One other thing, they advertise waffle breakfast at the clubhouse; we went there on the first morning and were told they weren't doing it that day because the cook wasn't feeling well. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Really Liked this RV Park. The sites had a lot of room and a nice beach area. They have a lot to do for all ages . We stayed in site 312 which has water front view . Nicely done ! Well stocked Store and very helpful and friendly people . There is a real nice store 4 1/2 miles from the camp. We will return in the spring for sure . I would recommend North Landing Beach and RV resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I would give a 8-10 rating, except this is NOT in Virginia Beach! It is 40 minutes from VA Beach out in the middle of nowhere on narrow country roads! It is only 10 mi from the NC border. It is about 25 mi south of VA Beach. It has a beach that is on the bay. It is a very nice facility with brand new bath houses, nice pool, tennis court, basketball court, game room, workout room, bikes, store etc. I love the campground, just not the location of it. So if you want peace and quiet and to stay on site for everything, then this is the place. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is under major construction which will add additional sites and amenities. When we stayed we did encounter a little bit of construction traffic but everyone was friendly and accommodating.
The sites were wide and left you room to easily park your RV and set up to enjoy the outdoors.
The campground has it's own beach/waterfront area which is immaculate. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

They are in process of construction improvements, so we stayed despite constant dump truck traffic. The site was not well maintained. Grass/dirt site was full of weeds growing through the gravel/dirt, the surrounding grass very much unmowed with knee-high weeds. The sewer pipe was almost a foot off the ground, defeats the purpose of gravity emptying your tanks. Too far out of town (Virginia Beach), about 40 minute drive to the main beach area. This is an attractive park and it appears that during the "season" there are many activities for adults and kids. The riverfront was nice. The utilities were good although the Wi-Fi was unreliable. There is occasional daytime noise from Navy jets.

There are convenience stores closer but major shopping, WalMart, food lion, are 17 miles north. The roads in the area are relatively narrow with NO shoulder. It is a pleasant rural area. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

An overall outstanding campground! Please disregard any and all old reviews for this website, because this campground has different management from a few years ago. My family and I were very impressed with the very clean, air conditioned bath house, very friendly staff, shaded lots, clean swimming pool and access to a small beach on the North Landing River, upper Currituck Sound. The campground is also a short ride to the Pungo Strawberry Festival. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We called for reservations several months ahead and stayed during the off season. There were not that many campers there. The park is beautiful with a nice beach and great views. The onsite maintenance and office staff were very friendly and nice. It's off the beaten path but not that far. The only problems were the laundry was closed for renovations the entire 2 months we were there (the nearest coin laundry is 20 minutes away and very small), they had several campers with excessive barking dogs (I mean all day while the owners at work) even though they make you sign a separate pet form and the biggest issue is there is no onsite management. All questions require a phone call to an out of state manager. I had trouble getting answers to questions before we got there and during our stay all questions required a phone call. We did enjoy our stay and will come back. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We love the location of this park, but it leaves a lot to be desired for safety and family atmosphere. No shortage of Rebel flags, drunks, loud music, crazy driving, golf carts everywhere. The roads are un-paved (very dusty), water hook ups are underground and are very dangerous (trip hazard) and hard to hook up and turn on. The beach was nice. Bath houses were serviced regularly but still dirty, and no soap in dispensers the entire stay. Staff was not helpful. We reserved a site well in advance and was changed upon arrival. We do not plan on visiting this campground again and would not recommend this campground to anyone. Hopefully they will improve this park as it does have a lot of potential. We spent 4 nights here last week. Although facilities were fine it was very difficult to leave the site as the turns are much too tight for a 42 foot motorhome. It was also impossible to be outside due to the number of mosquitos. Owners need to pave, or stone the sites due to dirt and mud, and create better site egress for larger coaches. I would not go back without these improvements. Lack of signs on roads make it easy to pass by it and you need to go 8 to 10 miles to turn around. Spent four nights here with the wife and three boys. The rental boats are over priced but the campsites were huge compared to KOA and kids had a blast the whole time. The entire park lost water and power the first night...not sure why but only for three hours. Mosquito's...lots!!! Private beach was nice but crowded. Great bathrooms and showers. The sites are not paved, or perfectly level and the water supply is in the ground not on a post. Great pool but also crowded. Would definitely go again but not on a holiday weekend. This is a campground with potential, but real issues with the clientele. On the positive side, the location is nice and the facilities were cared for at acceptable levels. Having said that, you need to be a certain kind of camper to tolerate the craziness at the campground. If you are into confederate flags everywhere (including tattooed to the chests of the men and women who wander the campground), this campground is for you. If you are into loud music blaring from golf carts until 11:00pm each night, this campground is for you. If you enjoy watching stone cold drunken campers stumble around the campground while screaming and yelling, this campground is for you. If you like going to the beach and praying that the drunken boaters don't run into the kids who are swimming, this campground is for you. I have been to dozens of campgrounds and in my experience, this has the most "party like" atmosphere in VA. If are you looking for that type of experience, North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground should be your destination. If you are looking for something suitable for families, you might want to consider an alternative. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved this place. The staff we met were very friendly at all times. We usually stay at the Holiday Trav-L-Park but were tired of the jet sounds. Here we only heard a couple but not the loud jet sound. We love the peace and quiet of the country and this place had that. We will definitely stay here any time we come to Virginia Beach again, starting next spring. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Camped with a group. They did not put the group together despite have the spots reserved in group's name. Men's bathroom soap dispenser's were not refilled all weekend even though staff were seen servicing restroom multiple times. Charged for rental of pavilion. Spliced electric lines were prevalent throughout the campground to sewer pumps. Some sites had sewer odor from pump location.
