We had plenty of room on our site for our RV, and two SUVs without feeling crowded. The turns around the park are somewhat tight, but not too difficult to manage. We had a 50 Amp FHU pull-through site. Only downside was our EMS kept tripping because of power shortages dropping below 104V with everyone drawing on the power so much, common issue in summer months in larger RV parks/campgrounds. We enjoyed the pool area, DJ on Saturday night, snack bar area, and the atmosphere of the overall grounds. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Jamestowne Settlement is great and nearby. We did not visit Colonial Williamsburg, but it is also nearby. Plenty of grocery store options. We did go to a movie at a lovely dine-in theater that was about 20 minutes away from the RV park.

Very nice Thousand Trails. Fairly level asphalt/dirt 50 amp full hookup kind of pull-through sites. Great electricity, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and nice game room. Roads are slightly tight and you probably will have to back out of your pull-through site. You must pay for cable if you want because there are many trees, but over the air is great. Would have rated higher but you must also pay for Internet, however cell service is great for hotspot. Would certainly stay again. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Really poor registration process! The first come first serve site management system is inefficient and a little frustrating. The sites are "tight" and paths leading into them narrow. The staff is friendly, the amenities nice, but the interstate road noise loud. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects Thousand Trails membership. This campground is right off of I-64, just north of Williamsburg. Roads are paved but tight. All of the motorhomes we saw had dropped their toads prior to entering. Some sites are tight, other's tighter. Ours was gravel/dirt combination. Very little grass. Lots of trees. The ladies at the front office bend over backward to get you in. You are given a selection of suggested sites to look at and then you drive around and look for a site you like. Then you go back to the office and let them know where you landed. Bathrooms are tiled and clean, but need to be de-spidered. Due to the amount of droppings on the floor, the spider's have been there quite a while. Pool is very nice. All site utilities worked properly. There are a lot of full time residents. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

When you arrive, head over to the Colonial Williamsburg visitor's center and get an old daily program. That will get you orientated to what's generally happening at the attraction. Keep in mind that Williamsburg is a tourist town, so it's crowded during the summer and everyone drives like a tourist.

Typical Thousand Trails....old park, aging infrastructure, unlevel & tight sites, rules not enforced, most sites taken by annuals or seasonal campers, etc. Office staff were nice. The workers do the best they can with the budget they have to work within. Up and back interior roads narrow and confusing. Several tight turns. Many trees need to be removed. Watch out for big remnants of old stumps, even in your car. Nice newly redone miniature golf. Indoor pool and hot tub nice. Outdoor pool and hot tub were closed for the season. Shuffleboard and basketball. Also tennis court painted also for pickleball, but court surface is rough asphalt and you have to install the net yourself. (According to the staff, too much trouble with net and other sporting equipment being damaged, stolen, or not returned.) We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

We went to this park in April and everything was shut down. Nothing for kids to do. I don't know why it's called "Outdoor world". There are a lot of unlevel and hilly sites. Sites are first come first serve. Luckily we arrived at check-in time and got a fairly level site that was close to the office and restrooms. I will not return to this campground. This is an old facility with tight, unlevel sites. There are a lot of "work camp" trailers on site and our view was looking at a lot of big propane tanks. The amenities are well kept but the campsites are mostly gravel with little grass. The only reason we stayed here is because it was cheap through Thousand Trails. It is convenient to many attractions, but the camping areas are pretty much a dump. I would not stay here again. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Easy to find but the sign says Thousand Trails not Outdoor World.

Warm friendly hosts. Quite a few "resort" park models and seasonal campers. They will try to hook you up with a camground time share/membership. Family friendly park with plenty of amenities. I would stay there again. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Since this is an older park, the sites are on the small size and difficult to maneuver. Unfortuantely, all the best sites are taken by annual campers. What is left are small and incredibly un-level. Very difficult to level a rig. The park would be more inviting if the annuals were in one section and the over-nighters in the remainder. Great location, easy access to the Williamsburg attractions. The workers were very friendly. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

This is Thousand Trails so price was free. The park was very hilly but we were able to get level site. Most sites are not level. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub were great. There is no free wifi nor free cable. Cable was $3.00 a day. There was no dog run but fields were available to walk dog. Easy access to I64. Big rig friendly. Rate is TT membership. Convenient to I-64. Campground hasn't changed in years, except getting more run down. Sites need gravel, they are pretty much just dirt, no grass between sites. Roads are narrow, bumpy and challenging to navigate with tow car. Lots of trees, so forget satellite. Cable is available for $3.25/day. Facilities just look dated and worn. Staff friendly and helpful, ample touristy brochures available for your stay in Williamsburg. Both indoor and outdoor pools, indoor spa, laundry and game room. Lots of seasonals both in campsites and cabins. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

We just spent 2 weeks at this park, which included Labor Day weekend. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff and campers were all very nice, happy and helpful. I watched the staff work very hard to keep things nice and clean, to ask people to follow the rules, and work hard to be helpful to everyone. The park is a short drive to a public library, 2 grocery stores, other shopping, parks and tourist attractions. I am very glad we stayed at this campground and would absolutely return. I rated this park a 9 because, as do most RV parks, there are things that need repair. The putt putt golf equipment and course are in very bad shape and the whole place could just use a face lift. Rate reflects Thousand Trails membership. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here as part of Thousand Trails membership we got with the RV. Very hilly location and most of the sites not level. We stayed over labor day and arrived at noon on Friday and ended up with a very narrow space with three tree stumps that were always in the way. Our space was near the office and on top of the hill next to two permanent trailers. The other sites we were told were available were not adequate for our 38 foot RV due to the slope of the hill. Pool was nice but cable and WiFi are extra. The store was opened on request and no set hours. Close to Williamsburg but there are others in the area. Would not stay here again...and not renewing our Thousand Trails. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

This is a fractional ownership park. It is associated with Thousand Trails. I made the reservation through ReserveAmerica and thought it was a state park, my mistake. There are lots of people, kids, dogs etc. They have lots of organized activities too. So if this is your thing, this might be your park. For what we got (full hookups) I felt the nightly rate was really high. We camped in the quiet section and it was, although a long way from the pool or other facilities, even the trash container. There are lots of park models here too. The reason we came here is because we wanted to be close to Williamsburg so we could spend the day there, as it turned out Williamsburg is about 15 miles away. I would not camp here again. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Travel Trailer.

The rate reflects membership in Thousand Trails. Overall, the park is okay. It is older and you can tell it is past it's prime. The location is good with easy access to the Interstate. We camped here in a 42 ft fifth wheel. We came in late, but were able to find a site that could accommodate our length. However, the majority of sites are not level. The bathroom condition varies from building to building. The staff was friendly and helpful to us. The outdoor pool was closed for the season, but the indoor pool was open. My kids swam for a short while and liked it, but I was not thrilled with it. They did have a 9 hole putt putt course and to my surprise it was in good condition and fun. We would stay here again if returning for a short trip. We camped at Williamsburg, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.
